The Soft and Cute Little Educated Youth's Daily Melon-Eating

Chen Shuning wasn't sure whether to call herself lucky or unlucky.

Her misfortune was that, having had a stable job and a prosperous life, she lost her life in a fire at a newly opened la...

Chapter 11 On the Train (Part Two)

Chen Shuning didn't sleep well. At this time, the green train was slow, and it was not unbearable that it stopped at every station. It was the clanging noise that was really unpleasant. What made Chen Shuning even more uncomfortable was that the seat was made of wood.

Chen Shuning's back was already aching from sitting for just over an hour; one can only imagine how tired she would be if she sat for three or four days.

However, there was also something to be happy about: when Chen Shuning woke up, she found that Yang Wanqiu, who was supposed to sit opposite her, was gone. It seemed that she had been swayed by Chen Shuning's words before going to sleep and had gone to hide in another carriage.

With no one to bother her, Chen Shuning was naturally in a good mood, a mood unaffected even by the stuffy, smelly carriage.

She glanced at her watch and it was already 11:30. She had only hurriedly eaten half a fried dough stick for breakfast, so it was no wonder that her stomach was rumbling loudly.

Remembering that her mother had brought her a lot of delicious food, she hurriedly took out the dumplings that her mother had repeatedly told her to eat first when she got on the bus from the package under the seat.

Because it was so hot, even though the food that Chen's mother had prepared for her was all durable, Chen Shuning still put most of the food into her spatial storage when she got into the car.

The original owner had a weak stomach, and her spiritual spring water didn't have the magical effect of curing all diseases, so it was safer to keep the food in her space.

However, storing food in a space also has its drawbacks, namely that the food will remain the same whether it is put in or taken out.

Therefore, Chen Shuning could only take advantage of the short time she had to get on the bus and the fact that taking out hot food wouldn't attract attention to others, and eat it as soon as possible. Otherwise, it would be difficult for her to take out hot food again once she had been on the bus for a longer time.

If you don't want to eat the boxed meals on the train at that time, you'll have to eat dry rations.

Chen Shuning picked up a dumpling with her chopsticks, took a bite, and immediately regretted it. Her mother had brought her pork and bok choy dumplings, the kind with more meat than vegetables, and most importantly, the meat was mostly fat with very little lean meat.

This almost made Chen Shuning, who could only eat a little fatty meat in braised pork and fried pork belly, vomit on the spot.

The original owner of this body probably liked to eat dumplings with big, fatty meat fillings, but she couldn't. Looking at the white, fatty meat, Chen Shuning had half a dumpling in her mouth, unsure whether to swallow it or spit it out.

Chen Shuning closed her eyes and swallowed the half dumpling whole. She immediately lost her appetite and threw the other half dumpling back into the lunchbox. She closed the lunchbox, intending to put the dumpling away and eat something else later. When she looked up, she met a pair of big, round eyes.

The owner of the eyes was a young girl sitting opposite her, who looked to be only sixteen or seventeen years old.

Unlike most people in this era who are thin, this girl was quite plump, with round eyes, a round face, and even a round figure.

Compared to the girl sitting next to her, she seemed to be a whole size rounder.

The round-faced girl was staring intently at the lunchbox in Chen Shuning's hand with her big, round eyes, while the girl sitting next to her looked embarrassed and kept tugging at the girl's sleeve.

I don't know if she got flustered when she saw Chen Shuning trying to collect the lunchbox, or if the dumplings were just too tempting, or maybe it was both.

The girl swallowed hard, then, as if she had made up her mind, said, "Hey classmate, I'm telling you, these dumplings are best eaten hot. They don't taste good when they're cold. Also, classmate, do you not like these dumplings? How about I switch with you?"

As if afraid that Chen Shuning would refuse, the girl hurriedly took out a bag from under her seat, took out a lunchbox inside, and said, "Classmate, I won't take advantage of you. I have braised pork and rice here, both made by my dad. You don't know, my dad is the head chef of a state-owned restaurant. Everyone says his braised pork is delicious."

Upon hearing this, many people around exclaimed "Oh, I see!" No wonder the girl looked so well-off; her family was well-off, and they knew the cook would never starve.

Chen Shuning finally understood why the girl had been staring at his lunchbox. However, remembering the half-eaten dumpling still in his lunchbox, Chen Shuning asked uncertainly, "But I've already eaten this dumpling, you don't mind...?"

Chen Shuning might not know about others, but if it were her, she would absolutely not touch anything that someone else had eaten.

This is why, even though he knew how precious food was to people in this era, Chen Shuning would still throw away those obviously eaten foods in the food court without hesitation.

In fact, Chen Shuning is somewhat of a germaphobe, but it's not too bad because the incident happened relatively early.

So apart from a few fast food restaurants downstairs and a handful of breakfast shops that had a few customers, the other shops in the shopping mall probably hadn't opened yet.

However, there were quite a few finished products, enough for her to eat a variety of dishes every day for a long time.

Moreover, Chen Shuning has disposed of all the food that customers had eaten in those shops, and the entire shopping center now meets her hygiene standards without a trace of trash.

Next time she has the chance, she can try enjoying delicious food in the food court on the top floor of the shopping mall while overlooking the beautiful view of her space through the floor-to-ceiling windows.

But that can only be done after she settles down in the countryside; for now, it's just a dream.
