The Soft Capitalist Miss Follows the Army, Alluring the Tough Guy Addicted to Doting

In her previous life, Ling Huanwu took a multi-fetus pill. Even though she was designed by her adopted sister to marry a childless vagrant from the village, she still became the wealthiest wife and...

Chapter 7 Expanding Space: An Urgent Need

Just like in her previous life, Ling's parents rushed over and raised their hands to slap her from both sides.

Ling Huanwu leaned back like a noodle, dodging the two men's slaps.

The two slaps from Ling's father and mother created a gust of wind in the air, landing squarely on each other's faces.

"Slap! Slap!"

Two sounds rang out simultaneously.

Ling's mother covered the hand that Ling's father had slapped her with, tears instantly welling up in her eyes. "You hit me?"

"No," Mr. Ling said, covering his face and looking at his wife with heartache, he hurriedly explained, "I hit this unfilial daughter!"

As he spoke, he turned his head and became enraged again, raising his hand to slap Ling Huanwu once more.

Ling Huanwu used one hand to firmly hold Zhou Shuyao down as he thrashed about in the water vat, while using the other hand to pull her mother in front of her to shield her.

"Smack!"

Another slap landed squarely on Ling's mother's face.

Ling's mother covered her symmetrical cheeks where she had been hit and cried out "Aww!"

Father Ling was so angry that he clutched his chest, his whole body swaying as if he were about to collapse. "You unfilial daughter! You unfilial daughter! I originally thought that since you are our own daughter, I would leave you some dowry. But now that I see how unfilial you are, we will not give you a single penny of dowry!"

When Song Yaoyao, who originally wanted to come up and rescue Zhou Shuyao, heard that her adoptive parents were going to give her all the dowry just like in her previous life, she couldn't help but smile.

But Song Yaoyao still pretended to be heartbroken and stepped forward to scold Ling Huanwu, "Sister, even if you hate me, you can't treat our parents like that. They are your own parents. You don't know how much I want to be their daughter and take care of them in their old age!"

Then, with tears in her eyes, she looked at her parents and said generously, "Father, Mother, since my sister cares so much about the dowry, I will give it all to her. I just hope that she won't make things difficult for you anymore."

What a touching display of kinship that transcends blood ties!

If Ling Huanwu hadn't been busy with one hand, she would have loved to applaud their relationship!

She pulled Zhou Shuyao out of the water tank by his hair and tossed him aside casually.

As soon as Zhou Shuyao, whose face was deathly pale, came into contact with the air, he leaned against the wall and began to cough violently.

After confirming that he was not dead, Ling Huanwu looked at Song Yaoyao with icy eyes, "What do you mean by giving me those dowries? Those dowries originally belonged to me. You are just an adopted daughter of the Ling family. What right do you have to give them up?"

Then she looked at Ling's parents and said, "And you, you'll probably say that as parents, you can give the dowry to whomever you want, but what in the Ling family did you earn? What right do you have to give away Grandpa and Grandma's things to others?"

Enraged, Ling's father roared, "You still dare to say 'why'? Haven't you gone too far with all the vicious things you've done to Yao Yao over the years? You insulted your brother-in-law and even called Yao Yao's mother a servant. Without Yao Yao's mother, you would have no family left, and yet you still think you're right! You must apologize!"

"Let me tell you, I will definitely repay the kindness of Yao Yao's family. If you don't apologize to Yao Yao today, I've decided to give all of the Ling family's assets to Yao Yao as compensation!"

Ling's mother nodded in agreement beside Ling's father, just as she had never imagined in her previous life how their actions would cause her to suffer so much ridicule and mockery in the village after she got married, with people calling her a petty capitalist and saying she deserved it all.

Once again, as Ling Huanwu listened to the couple's blatant favoritism, she felt no heartache whatsoever, only intense hatred.

She looked at Ling's father with a half-smile and asked him, "You say I'm vicious, and what I did to Yao Yao? Did you see it with your own eyes?"

“I didn’t see it with my own eyes, but do you think I don’t know what kind of person you’ve been since you were little? You’ve always had a spoiled princess attitude. You can’t stand that we’re good to Yao Yao, so you’ve framed her time and time again…”

"Shut up until you see me!"

Ling Huanwu, unable to bear it any longer, interrupted him, pointing at Zhou Shuyao, who was nearly exhausted from being submerged by her, "Wasn't my personality something you raised me to be? When I was a child, if someone bullied me, I would just beat them up, just like I would beat them up! Do you think I would use those low-down methods to frame her time and time again?"

After a few words, Ling's parents didn't listen; instead, they became even angrier.

"So you're saying we parents are blind? Can't we tell whether we've been framed or not?"

Ling's father jumped up, wanting to retort, but a sudden response from behind him froze him in place.

"Father-in-law, you're completely blind!"

Grandma Wang Guihua appeared before the group with her neighbor Aunt Zhang.

By this time, the sky was already beginning to lighten. People who were heading out to work heard the commotion as they passed by the Zhou family's house and gathered around to watch the excitement.

She had been eavesdropping on the gossip of these young ladies in the corner and had caught up with most of it.

In her previous life, everyone pointed fingers at Ling Huanwu, saying that she must have done something to upset her parents, which is why her biological parents gave her dowry and property to others.

Now that Wang Guihua has suddenly appeared, everyone cranes their necks to listen to what she has to say.

I thought Wang Guihua would extend her affection to her beloved youngest son and daughter-in-law.

Unexpectedly, Wang Guihua angrily pointed at Song Yaoyao and said, "You're saying my younger daughter-in-law was insulted by my elder daughter-in-law? You're talking nonsense!"

I didn't hear a word from the corner just now. Instead, I clearly heard the younger daughter-in-law yelling at the older daughter-in-law not to go with the army, but to stay and help her with her children. Not only that, she also demanded that the older daughter-in-law earn work points for her, saying she'd give her money later when she had more!

The neighbors who had just gathered to watch the commotion were all outraged when they heard this.

"My God, I've never heard of a sister-in-law having to take care of her sister-in-law's child before. How shameless does she have to be to let her not go to the army camp?"
