Chapter 55: The Lying Child Gets No Candy

"What are you going to do?" Chen Guifang stared at Shang Wan warily, afraid that Shang Wan would suddenly attack and hurt someone.

Erya also timidly hugged her mother's neck, lowered her little head, and did not dare to look directly into Shang Wan's eyes.

"You're so good." Shang Wan gave her a candy and watched her take it before asking, "How long has Tiedan been playing with you?"

These questions had nothing to do with what her uncle had said, so Erya answered readily, "A little while."

After saying that, she stared at the two candies left in Shang Wan's hand. Seeing that Shang Wan had no intention of giving them to her, she looked up at Shang Wan in confusion.

Shang Wan continued to ask while pinching the candy, "Why did Tiedan only play with you for a short while?"

"Brother Tiedan is out."

"Where did he go?" Shang Wan asked as he handed the candy to Erya.

The little girl's eyes were full of sweetness, and she answered obediently, "I don't know, it was my uncle who asked Brother Tiedan to go out. Brother Tiedan was holding a red..."

"Erya!" Lin Jianshan shouted, scaring Erya so much that her little body trembled. She clutched Chen Guifang's clothes tightly with her little hands, bit her lips, and tears fell down her face.

Shang Wan turned around and looked at Lin Jianshan, "You didn't even let Erya finish her words. Are you worried that others won't be able to see that you're guilty?"
