Chapter 21 Cousin

After discussing the design drawings, Li Guoer asked the others, "What do you want to eat for lunch? I'll make it for you."

Before they could come to a conclusion, Luo Xianglian and Zhou Ruolan came back together to cook, saying that the great grandfather and the second grandfather's families would come to their house for lunch.

I washed some fruits for my girlfriends and Yu Yang to eat.

She also went to the kitchen to help cook and count the number of people from several families.

"Grandma, are my cousins back too? If they are, two tables won't fit. We'll need three."

"Everyone is back, and we're preparing food for three tables."

Grandma Li was chopping vegetables skillfully and counting the quantities: "Guozi, bring out some prawns, eels, and turtles."

Zhou Ruolan was in charge today, her specialty, braised pork, simmering in a clay pot on the gas stove. On the other stove, a sour radish and duck soup simmered in a clay pot.

A big goose was stewing in the earthen stove, emitting white smoke. Luo Xianglian was sticking the rolled cakes on the edge of the pot.

While I was busy cooking, my great-grandfather and his two families came over carrying large and small bags. There were more than ten people in the group.

My great-grandfather had two sons, the eldest Li Xuesong and the second Li Xuebai, and each of them had a son, Li Minghao and Li Minghui.

My second grandfather also had two sons, the eldest was Li Xuewei and the second was Li Xuejun, and each had a son, Li Mingxiang and Li Mingfei.

Although several of my cousins lived in the city, they would return to their hometown during holidays when I was a child. They have protected Guoer since she was a child and doted on her especially, treating her like her own brothers.

Li Guoer walked forward with a smile, greeted them, and welcomed them into the house.

I also introduced a few close friends and Yu Yang to them so that they could get to know each other and avoid embarrassment.

After introducing everyone, she busied herself with pouring each person a cup of flower and fruit tea and washing some fruit for them to eat.

The brothers and sisters hadn't seen each other for several months, so they were naturally very cordial when they met and chatted together.

He is one year older than Li Guoer and they are of similar age. They have been best friends since childhood.
