The System Rewards Me With Cultivation

He was reborn, returning to his miserable starting point in high school, where he was strung along and treated as a servile dog by the school beauty.

In his previous life, his humble efforts ...

Chapter 225 Test

Han Feng said to Liu Mengran and Su Wanwan, "By the way, the energy in your bodies has become purer. Do you feel your cultivation level has improved?"

The two women exchanged a glance: "We don't know how to detect our own cultivation level."

Han Feng sighed, just about to check their cultivation levels himself, when Dongfang Wantang said, "No need to check. I already checked when we were in the mall. They've both reached the Great Perfection of the Acquired Realm, just one step away from the Innate Realm."

As he spoke, a fleeting hint of envy flashed in his eyes as he looked at the two women.

Dongfang Wantang's words brought a brief silence to the room. Late stage of the Acquired Realm—this meant that Liu Mengran and Su Wanwan's strength was already comparable to the backbone of some small ancient martial arts families. Even Liu Mengran's grandfather was only at the Great Perfection of the Acquired Realm, while they had only been practicing for a few months.

"Wait a minute..." Han Feng scratched his head, pointing to his nose, "So, does that mean the people in the base have also reached this level? Does that mean they can also cultivate the same techniques as me?"

Dongfang Wantang rolled her eyes at him: "Some techniques, besides being self-taught, rely more on the control of energy." She circled around Han Feng, "However, your Star Power is indeed purer now; teaching them ordinary techniques should be more powerful."

Su Wanwan jumped up excitedly, a nebula-like mass of energy gathering in her palm: "So, does that mean I can punch through a steel plate now?"

"It could have been done a long time ago," Han Feng said helplessly, pressing down on her shoulder.

Liu Mengran, however, appeared much calmer. Starlight flowed from her fingertips like silk: "This power... feels completely different from before." She looked at Han Feng, "It's like a previously blurry vision suddenly becoming clear."

"Don't think about that now, take a rest." He clapped his hands. "Tomorrow I'll take you to Dragon Abyss. I need to report to Elder Lin and also test the strength of the Reverse Scale Squad and your current abilities."

Dongfang Wantang said to Han Feng, "By the way, about going to the Nangong family in two days..."

"Proceed as planned." Han Feng waved his hand dismissively. "Right now, with my strength at the eighth level of the mid-stage of the Innate Realm..." He grinned. "Even if the Shangguan family sends people to cause trouble, they won't come out unscathed."

Liu Mengran suddenly asked, "Han Feng, that guiding power... you still haven't explained what it is."

Han Feng extended his index finger, and a wisp of silver-blue energy slithered out like a small snake: "This is it. It appeared automatically after refining the Star Mirror, and it seems to be able to sense the location of other Star Mirrors." The energy swirled at his fingertip, "However, its range is still very limited right now, probably only covering a radius of about a hundred miles."

"Isn't this just a human radar?" Su Wanwan reached out to touch it, but Han Feng dodged her.

"Don't touch it. I haven't fully grasped its properties yet."

---This is the dividing line---

The next morning, when sunlight streamed into the living room through the gaps in the curtains, Han Feng had already tidied up. He looked at the two girls still arguing on the sofa and couldn't help but facepalm.

"I really don't need to go..." Dongfang Wantang pulled back her sleeve, which Su Wanwan had been holding, her face full of resistance. "That's your military base."

Su Wanwan persisted: "Oh, I already said I'm just going to have some fun! The training grounds at Longyuan are so cool, they have a holographic combat simulation system, and also—"

"Wanwan," Han Feng interrupted at the opportune moment, "Don't force her."

"That's right!" Dongfang Wantang had just breathed a sigh of relief when Liu Mengran silently handed her a set of casual clothes.

"Try this." Liu Mengran smiled. "I bought it for you yesterday."

Dongfang Wantang stared at the light blue hoodie as if she were looking at some strange creature. Ten minutes later, when this young lady from an ancient martial arts family awkwardly tugged at the hem of her hoodie as she walked out of the guest room, even Han Feng couldn't help but take a second look—without the cover of her wide robes and sleeves, Dongfang Wantang's figure was surprisingly shapely and curvaceous.

"What are you looking at!" Dongfang Wantang's ears turned bright red. She snatched the baseball cap Su Wanwan handed her and put it on her head. "Let's go, let's go!"

The entrance to the Longyuan Base was hidden underground in an ordinary industrial park on the outskirts of the city. After passing through layers of security checks, Dongfang Wantang's expression grew increasingly solemn.

"Are all the military facilities in Longyuan this exaggerated?" she whispered to Liu Mengran, her eyes fixed on the laser fences that flashed by on both sides of the corridor.

Liu Mengran chuckled: "This is just Longyuan's daily standard."

Han Feng stopped at the corner ahead: "Wanwan, take them to training room A3 first. I'm going to see Elder Lin."

Su Wanwan gave an OK sign and pulled the bewildered Dongfang Wantang towards another passage. Liu Mengran took a couple of steps and then turned back: "Do we need to prepare the test program?"

"Any standard procedure will do." Han Feng thought for a moment and then added, "Don't let Wanwan touch the energy calibrator; she almost crashed the whole system last time."

Lin Zhengguo's office door was ajar. Han Feng knocked and then pushed the door open. The old man was reviewing documents. When he looked up and saw it was him, he immediately put down his pen.

"You've come at the right time." Lin Zhengguo pointed to the sofa. "Take a look at the latest situation overseas."

Han Feng took the tablet, his eyes quickly scanning the screen: "The black market for gene-based drugs?" He frowned. "Has it spread to this extent already?"

"That's not the point." Lin Zhengguo tapped the table. "What exactly did you mean by the increased energy purity you mentioned on the phone last night?"

Han Feng put down the tablet, palm facing upwards. A wisp of silver-blue energy appeared in the air, more solid than before, with tiny starlight flowing within it.

"After refining the Star Mirror, the purity of my stellar power increased by about three times." He withdrew his energy, "And..." A smile played on his lips, "Everyone in the Reverse Scale Squad was affected. The weakest among Iron Tower's group is now at the peak of the Acquired Realm, and Night Owl has already touched the threshold of the Innate Realm."

Lin Zhengguo's pen clattered onto the table: "A promotion for everyone? This... does this mean...?"

"Perhaps my improvement will directly benefit them," Han Feng shrugged. "Although the specific mechanisms are still uncertain."

The old man jumped to his feet, nearly tipping his chair over: "Let's go! To the training room! I need to see it with my own eyes!"

The two hurried through the base corridor when Lin Zhengguo suddenly remembered something: "Oh right, you said you brought a few people?"

"Su Wanwan, Liu Mengran, and Dongfang Wantang from the Dongfang family," Han Feng answered casually.

Lin Zhengguo stopped abruptly: "The Dongfang Family?!" His eyes widened. "Why didn't you say so sooner?!"

Han Feng looked completely innocent: "You didn't ask."

"You brat!" Lin Zhengguo quickened his pace. "The Dongfang family holds a very important position among ancient martial arts families; they cannot be neglected!"
