After reading the letter, Yun Zhe handed it to Gao. Gao read it and looked puzzled. "Since the war is about to end, why do you still want us to increase supplies to the front lines?"

Yun Zhe smiled. "What do you think?"

Gao scratched his head. "Could it be that they're stockpiling supplies in preparation for the final battle?"

Yun Zhe remained noncommittal, only gazing in the direction of the capital and letting out a deep sigh.

The capital city.

The situation in the capital was not as simplistic as Serena's letter suggested; the war raged on. The first to attack were the Galician royal family, attempting to return to the capital, but they were utterly defeated. It seemed Leonrenlang had been rejected by the goddess of war. Facing a capital riddled with holes, its walls unrepaired, they had besieged it for three days without success.

Then, Clayton and Marquis Morris, who had been observing from the sidelines, arrived in the capital with their troops. The three parties, having reached some unknown agreement, united and continued their attack on the capital with superior forces. Unfortunately, however, they made no progress.

A tug-of-war ensued beneath the walls of the capital. Clayton and Morris vehemently denounced Field as a traitor and usurper. Field, in turn, retorted, accusing them of holding the royal family hostage and eliminating dissidents. The two sides exchanged insults while engaging in small-scale skirmishes. This situation continued until the day Serena wrote a letter to Yun Zhe.

That day, Serena, who had just released her carrier pigeon, heard shocking news. Asini and Giancarlos had formed an alliance, and the southern part of the empire was now united, launching a two-pronged attack to seize the territories of the dukes and marquises who were waging war in the capital.

General Graham, the vanguard of Iassini, has launched a westward offensive, now heading straight for Ordorf. Meanwhile, the eastern army, under the personal command of Giancarlos, has also captured most of Maurice's territory and is now advancing towards his capital, Oscanlyburg.
