The Thirteenth Prince, Please Kneel Down

Everyone says the Thirteenth Prince is dashing, handsome, skilled in both literature and martial arts, and the dream lover of countless young ladies. But when it comes to Zhaojia Heyue, she dismiss...

Chapter 123 subtly reveals a touch of pride.

It took Heyue a while to recover her senses before she understood why her sixth sister was so angry.

Given Sixth Sister's temperament, being treated like this time and time again would be unbearable even for someone with the best patience, not to mention that Sixth Sister's patience has never been considered very good.

The imperial concubine selection is less than two years away. If there is no progress in Sixth Sister's marriage within two years, she will probably have to wait to enter the palace or be betrothed by imperial decree.

At present, Father and Mother are only indulging in wishful thinking and do not know what Aunt is thinking.

It seems I should inform my mother as soon as possible.

However, He Yue had no idea what Ituri was thinking.

We need to ask Ituri about this.

If Yiduli intends to listen to his aunt and marry a gentle and virtuous woman, then Heyue will no longer have any expectations of him and will let her sixth sister give up on him as soon as possible.

If we want to see Ituri, going directly to his door won't work; it seems we'll have to think of another way.

He Yue quickly came up with a solution, and a smile appeared on her lips.

The following afternoon, Heyue went to the residence of the Fourth Prince.

For the entire afternoon, Heyue spent her time in the room with the Fourth Prince's wife, learning to paint and do needlework, or listening to the Fourth Prince's wife occasionally dealing with household affairs with the people who came to the main house, while she quietly watched as an observer.

Time flies, and before we knew it, it was dusk.

Upon hearing that the Fourth Prince had returned, Heyue immediately told the Fourth Princess Consort that she wanted to see the Fourth Prince because he had something to say, and then rushed to the front yard.

The Fourth Princess looked at the cheerful figure that resembled a little bird and shook her head with a soft laugh: "He really is just a child!"

He Yue ran into the study, and Su Peisheng saw her at a glance, his eyes narrowing into slits with a smile: "Oh, Princess Zhaojia, are you looking for Prince?"

He Yue raised her index finger, shushed him, and quietly leaned closer, asking in a low voice, "Is Fourth Master busy?"

Su Peisheng blinked and shook his head with amusement: "This servant does not know. How about I ask for you?"

He Yue nodded repeatedly. Su Peisheng stepped forward to knock on the door when the Fourth Prince's voice came from inside: "Is that the Seventh Princess? Let her in."

Su Peisheng smiled and gestured to Heyue, "Alright, please go in."

He Yue smiled and stepped forward, pushed open the door, and went inside.

The Fourth Prince had changed into a light blue casual robe and stood tall and elegant behind his desk. He glanced at Heyue and said indifferently, "Is there something you need?"

He Yue approached with a playful smile, resting her arms on the desk and asking ingratiatingly, "Fourth Master, did you just finish your work? Are you tired?"

If Heyue had a tail, it would be wagging happily right now.

"What is it? Speak." The Fourth Prince smiled faintly, sat down, and indeed showed no signs of fatigue.

He Yue was relieved and darted behind the Fourth Prince, who was sitting in a chair, and reached out to massage his shoulders: "Can't I come to see you for no reason?"

As soon as she finished speaking, He Yue wished she could bite off her own tongue.

What is she saying? What old lady?! Ugh!

Seeing that the Fourth Prince frowned slightly, He Yue immediately changed her tune: "Fourth Brother, it's just that I haven't come to see you in a long time."

As soon as that soft "Fourth Brother" was uttered, the wrinkles between the Fourth Prince's brows gradually disappeared, and a helpless smile appeared on his lips: "You little devil, you don't come here unless you have something to say. Speak."

Seeing that she could no longer hide it, Heyue's eyes darted around as she massaged his shoulders while carefully choosing her words: "Fourth Brother, I heard that Yiduli passed the provincial examination, but I wonder what his situation is now?"

The Fourth Prince frowned: "Why are you asking this?!" He was clearly displeased, and a chill emanated from his body.

He Yue realized that her question had been too sensitive, so she quickly explained, "It's like this, since the beginning of this year, Yi Duli has been studying behind closed doors, and I haven't seen him for a long time. Yesterday, my sixth sister went to my uncle's house, and my aunt said that Yi Duli was sick and couldn't see anyone. I was thinking, what kind of illness can prevent someone from seeing anyone? He's my cousin who I grew up with. My sixth sister and I are really worried about him. We had no other choice, so we were thinking that if my fourth brother could help us arrange for Yi Duli to come out so that we could see him?"

The chill emanating from the Fourth Prince gradually dissipated, and his tone became somewhat sarcastic: "Is such a trivial matter worth you fawning over me like this?"

Heyue laughed awkwardly, blinking her eyes: "This isn't trying to please you. Heyue genuinely cares about Fourth Brother, there's no need for her to try to please you."

The Fourth Prince did not make things difficult for her. He pondered for a moment and said, "Yiduli has just passed the imperial examination and become a Juren. Yisang'a has already found him a job in the Imperial Household Department. He will take up his post in a few days. If you want to see him, I can call him to my residence. I'm sure Yisang'a wouldn't dare to refuse."

Heyue immediately smiled and her eyes crinkled: "Thank you, Fourth Brother!"

With this matter resolved, Heyue was in a good mood, realizing that coming to see the Fourth Prince was indeed the right decision.

Suddenly, the Fourth Prince asked another question, which immediately felt like a bucket of cold water had been poured over his head, and the joy he had just felt vanished without a trace: "I heard you went to the Eighth Prince's residence yesterday?"

Heyue's face stiffened, and she cautiously glanced at the Fourth Prince. Seeing his expressionless face, she couldn't tell whether he was happy or angry, and her heart pounded.

It's not surprising that the Fourth Prince knew about this; perhaps the Eighth Prince even had people from the Fourth Prince's household.

He Yue couldn't very well not reply, so she told the truth: "Yesterday, the Eighth Prince's wife invited me to have a chat, and I really like her."

She didn't know if her words would displease the Fourth Prince, but she didn't want to deal with it casually.

"Oh? What do you like about her?" Fourth Prince asked, slightly surprised.

Heyue lowered her eyes and muttered softly, "It's just... like my older sister."

The Fourth Prince turned his head to look at her slightly depressed face, and asked bluntly, "Don't you have many older sisters? As far as I know, you have six older sisters."
