Chapter 204 Lessons Learned

When He Yue cools down, she is more ruthless and cold-hearted than anyone else, and she will not soften her heart at all because of the other party's pity.

Li Shun'er was extremely distressed. It was obviously too late to call a doctor now, so she could only take her master to Guarjia's place.

Even if the master wakes up and blames me, I'll accept it.

But as soon as Li Shun'er helped Thirteen out of the room, Thirteen vaguely saw himself leaving the room and walking outside. He seemed to realize something, and grabbed the door tightly with both hands, refusing to leave. He even kicked Li Shun'er.

"You dog of a servant! Where are you taking me?!" Thirteen glared at him fiercely, as if there were a raging flood or a ferocious beast outside.

Li Shun'er rubbed his leg, which had been kicked, and stood up, forcing a smile: "My lord, please stop making trouble! This servant will take you to find the Fujin (principal wife)."

"Fujin? Heyue? Isn't she right here? I just saw her. Don't try to fool me, you brat! I'll give you a beating!" Thirteen was out of his mind, but he remembered this clearly and refused to believe him.

Li Shun'er was starting to wonder if her master was truly out of it or just pretending. She really wanted to say that the princess was right there, but the princess clearly didn't want to talk to her. Why was she doing this?

She tried to forcibly take him out, but she couldn't pry his hands off the door. Seeing that he simply sat down at the door and clung to it tightly, and the wife inside still didn't move, Li Shun'er was on the verge of collapse.

My Ladyship, you're going to kill me!

Seeing that they couldn't persuade their master, they had no choice but to have someone prepare cold water.

Seeing this, Granny Wang hurriedly called a servant to fetch a doctor that very night, and also instructed Chun Ya to brew ginger soup. She sighed inwardly, thinking how stubborn the princess was and how little she cared for the master.

Although Heyue didn't go out, she couldn't calm down. She heard that a cold shower was being prepared for her outside, and she tossed and turned, unable to sleep.

When Wang Mama came in and saw this, she couldn't help but sigh: "Since you're worried, why make things difficult for the master and yourself?"

He Yue remained silent, her lips tightly pressed together. She simply couldn't get past her own conscience; she simply wasn't willing to forgive him easily.

After taking a cold bath for half the night, the effects of the medicine gradually wore off. Although Granny Wang fed him ginger soup in between, he still developed a fever and fell into a coma.

Heyue couldn't very well kick him out again, so she made room for Wang Mama to carry him to the bed.

The doctor took his pulse, wrote a prescription, and his servants took the prescription to prepare the medicine.

He Yue hesitated for a moment, but seeing that he was still frowning in pain even in his unconscious state, she still had someone prepare warm water and put a wet towel on his forehead. She sat on a small stool by the bed and stared blankly at him sleeping soundly with his brows furrowed.

Wang Mama found it somewhat amusing and breathed a sigh of relief before leading Hailan and the others out.

Li Shun'er, who was outside worried, saw Wang Mama come out and hurriedly asked, "How is the master?"

"Don't worry, the princess is taking good care of the master."

Li Shun'er was completely stunned. Just now he saw how heartless the Fujin was, even though the master was in such a state, she still wanted to drive him away. How could she suddenly start taking care of the master in the blink of an eye?

After much thought, Li Shun'er remained worried, wondering if the Fujin (principal wife) would do something to the master in a fit of anger. She wanted to go in but didn't dare.

Seeing his expression, Wang Mama understood perfectly and reassured him, "Although the Princess Consort seems angry, she is worried about the Master. You should go back now."

Li Shun'er breathed a sigh of relief, wiped the sweat from her forehead, and smiled apologetically at Granny Wang: "Thank you for your trouble, Granny."

The wet towels were changed several times during the night, and by the early morning the fever had subsided, but he was still not awake. Heyue remained sitting there watching him, without moving.

Early in the morning, after eating some breakfast and seeing that he was still not awake, Heyue left Hailan to watch over him. After washing and dressing, she led Chun Ya, Chun Rui, and Granny Wang, and had two more nannies from the outer courtyard to the west wing.

Guarjia was still lying in bed, tossing and turning, unable to sleep, when she was dragged out of bed and taken to the courtyard wearing only a white nightgown, shivering from the cold.

Seeing Heyue sitting on the embroidered stool in the courtyard, with snacks and tea on the table next to her, she was slowly sipping a cup of tea without even lifting her eyelids, with two nannies standing on either side of her.

Guarjia's expression changed. Before she could react, two maids stepped forward, each grabbing one of her arms and forcing her to kneel before Heyue. They were both frightened and angry: "What do you want to do?!"

Both of the old women were used to doing rough work and were quite strong. Guarjia was pinned down like a little chick and couldn't move.

He Yue raised her eyes, stared at her, smiled slightly, and instead of answering, asked, "What do you think I want to do?"

Looking at Heyue, who was clearly only thirteen years old but whose expression was calm, composed, and unfathomable, Guarjia felt a deep-seated fear for the first time, and was so cold that she couldn't even utter a word.

"Is it cold?" He Yue leaned down slightly, pinched her chin with one hand, her eyes smiling, yet sending a chill down her spine: "Don't worry, I won't let you die, I'm just letting you experience this feeling."

Upon hearing the word "death," Guarjia's pupils contracted, but she forced herself to remain calm: "What exactly do you want to do?!" Her mind raced, and the only thing worth such a fuss about was what happened last night.

Thinking of this, she was filled with fear and anxiety, and shouted with a fierce but weak voice, "Let me tell you, you can't do whatever you want with me. I am the emperor's bestowed concubine. I want to see the emperor! I want to see the emperor!"

"You won't have a chance to see him!" He forcefully shook off her chin, took the handkerchief Chun Ya handed him, and wiped his hands.

Guarjia was even angrier after hearing her words, and became more certain that she was disciplining her without the master's knowledge. She gritted her teeth and glared at her angrily: "You can't abuse your power!"
