Everyone says the Thirteenth Prince is dashing, handsome, skilled in both literature and martial arts, and the dream lover of countless young ladies. But when it comes to Zhaojia Heyue, she dismiss...
Yan Yue quickly grabbed her hand and gently coaxed, "Auntie is pregnant with your little brother now and can't play with Ruoyu, but she'll play with Ruoyu later, okay?"
Ruoyu stared blankly, not understanding what a younger brother was, but seemingly knowing that he couldn't play with her anymore, her little face immediately wrinkled up, and tears gradually welled up in her eyes.
Yan Yue sighed helplessly, offered her a few words of comfort, and quickly asked the nanny to take her out to play for a while.
After everyone left, Yan Yue breathed a sigh of relief.
He Yue shifted into a more comfortable position and looked at her with amusement: "Sure enough, you've clearly raised a little princess. You really don't get tired of coaxing such a little princess every day."
"Although it's tiring, I enjoy it. You'll understand when you have children." Yan Yue raised her eyebrows and smiled.
Heyue is really looking forward to a scene where the children start making a fuss; it will definitely be lively and interesting.
"How is the baby?" Yan Yue immediately shifted her gaze to He Yue's belly, her brows furrowed with worry: "Your belly is getting bigger and bigger, even bigger than mine was before. I hope nothing bad will happen."
Heyue hadn't told them about the twins yet, nor had the palace said anything, so she smiled and replied, "The imperial physician said it's twins."
Yan Yue's eyes widened instantly, her mouth agape as if she could swallow an egg: "This, this, this..." Her gaze shifted back to her stomach, and she exclaimed in amazement: "You're amazing! You're not pregnant at all, but when you are, it's incredible!"
She smiled happily again in the blink of an eye: "You're so lucky, your brother-in-law must be overjoyed."
He nodded in agreement.
Thinking of how happy he was, I couldn't help but smile.
Yan Yue's eyes suddenly lit up: "I have an idea. If you give birth to a daughter, how about you marry her to our Fu Sengge?"
He Yue was stunned for a moment, and then three black lines slid down her forehead. That was her cousin, how could it be?
Seeing that she wasn't joking, staring intently at her belly with a mischievous look as if she were a daughter-in-law, He Yue really didn't know how to explain it to her.
"You'd have to ask Thirteen for that," He Yue said with a dry laugh, having no choice but to bring up Thirteen.
Yan Yue immediately wilted like a deflated eggplant, looking distressed: "Oh dear, how could I forget about him? Your child's father is a prince. I don't know if he'd be willing. But having a prince as a relative by marriage would be quite nice."
He smiled sarcastically, "Whether they're willing or not is another matter. This is absolutely out of the question; cousins getting married is bound to cause trouble."
Suddenly, shouts from outside came from the maids and servants: "Princess, Princess, be careful..."
He Yue and Yan Yue exchanged a glance. Just as she was about to get up, Yan Yue stepped forward and pressed her down, raising her eyebrows: "You sit down, I'll go take a look."
Then he hurriedly walked out.
With a wry smile, he had no choice but to sit down, but instructed Hailan to check what had happened and not to frighten Ruoyu.
Hailan responded and left.
A little while later, Yan Yue returned with Xiao Ruoyu, who was covered in dirt, had her head adorned with pink, yellow, and red flowers of all sizes, and was holding a chrysanthemum that had been ravaged beyond recognition. Yan Yue looked on with a mixture of amusement and exasperation.
Little Ruoyu's face was full of joy. She kept touching the flower on her head, giggling, looking completely bewildered.
He Yue was stunned.
Did they tear down all the flowers and plants in the yard?
Without asking any questions, Heyue quickly called someone to bring hot water for Ruoyu to wash her hands.
There were no children's clothes here at Heyue, but luckily Yanyue had brought some with her. She had her maid go out and get them, and then brought them into the side room for Ruoyu to change into.
When Yan Yue led Xiao Ruoyu out again, she was clean, fair, and tender all over again.
To avoid upsetting Ruoyu, Yanyue left her a crabapple blossom to hold and play with.
After sitting down, Yan Yue wiped her sweat and smiled apologetically at He Yue: "This child loves flowers and always likes to pick them and play with them. She has thoroughly explored the gardens in the mansion, to the point that I dare not let anyone take her into the gardens anymore."
"Small in stature, but quite destructive," He Yue thought to herself.
However, this also shows how much Sixth Sister dotes on Ruoyu.
Who knows what kind of personality they'll develop in the future?
It was indeed the right decision for Fu Sengge to be taken to Jiangnan by his uncle and aunt; otherwise, he would have been ruined by his sixth sister.
"Ruoyu is so young, yet she already knows how to dress up. It seems she'll grow up to be a girl who loves beauty." Heyue glanced at Ruoyu and teased.
Ruoyu still looked bewildered, occasionally trying to put flowers in her hair, but she always managed to do it crookedly, and the flowers would fall to the ground several times. The nanny would pick them up and give them back to her, but she was still enjoying herself. Before long, she would rub a flower until the juice dried up and it was no longer in good condition.
When I returned at 13 PM, I told them about Rashid's reply.
“Rashid said he already has a wife and daughter and has no intention of taking a concubine, so you girl don’t have much hope.”
He Yue felt somewhat relieved; this way, Hai Lan would surely give up.
“This Laxi is quite the romantic, and his wife is very lucky. I heard that Laxi comes from the Upper Three Banners of Mongolia, but he doesn’t look like a Mongolian at all,” Heyue sighed, then asked another question.
Thirteen really wanted to say, "You're lucky too," but then, thinking of Ussuri, she swallowed the words back, feeling guilty.
"Although Laxi was a member of the Mongol Eight Banners, the Mongols had submitted to the Qing Dynasty for many years, and their descendants who remained in Beijing had long since become true Manchus, and were naturally no different from the Manchus."
He nodded in agreement. "I see."
“But they were originally Mongols, yet they were forced to leave their homes and become Manchus. It’s unfair to them.” He Yue imagined that she would also feel uncomfortable if she were forced to become another race.
Although she is now a Manchu, her soul is Han Chinese. Deep down, she has always considered herself Han Chinese and has never felt like a Manchu.
