In the corridors of St. Ying Academy, Yu Jiu Yuan always wore a perfectly fitting innocent smile, like a harmless lily of the vall...
In the student council office of Saint Sakura Academy, Lin Yanran slammed the event budget sheet on the table, the metal pen scratching a harsh sound on the smooth paper.
He was wearing a limited-edition haute couture suit and his tie was perfectly tied, but he couldn't hide the restlessness in his eyes.
This budget has been rejected by Yu Jiuyuan three times, always on the grounds of "exceeding the budget".
"What exactly does President Yu want?" When he looked up, his gaze was like ice, landing on Yu Jiuyuan's hand as she casually twirled a pen. "The student council's activity funds are not even a fraction of what I spent on my private party."
Yu Jiuyuan finally put down her pen, her fingertip pointing to the "Guest Gifts" section, her pinky ring gleaming in the sunlight: "Officer Lin, the student council isn't the Lin family's backyard. Change 'custom-made watch' in this section to a college commemorative badge, and I'll sign it."
"You!" Lin Yanran's face flushed instantly, like a cat whose tail had been stepped on. "Yu Jiuyuan, don't push your luck!"
His voice was exceptionally loud in the quiet office, and the blue light of his pinky ring shone with a glaring red, the color of Lin Yanran's rage, like a red-hot branding iron.
Yu Jiuyuan laughed. She loved seeing this "arrogant" prey bristle like an untamed wild horse, the wildness in its eyes alluring.
“If you feel wronged, Lin,” she stood up and walked to him, deliberately being half a head shorter than him. When she looked up at him, the innocence in her eyes was like a thin veil, “you can quit the student council now. Anyway… no one is forcing you.”
These words struck Lin Yanran's weak spot precisely.
He was forced into the student council by his father to "toughen up his character," and if he quit just like that, he would definitely get a scolding.
He clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white, but in the end he didn't say anything more, only squeezing out two words through gritted teeth: "I'll change."
Yu Jiuyuan watched his departing figure. The blue light from the pinky ring indicated that his negative emotions had reached their peak, but were forcibly suppressed, like a flood being held back by a dam.
She knew that she couldn't deal with this wild horse by force; she had to use some "special methods."
When school let out in the afternoon, Yu Jiuyuan stopped Lin Yanran's car at the school gate.
A black Bentley was parked under a cherry blossom tree. He sat in the back seat, the window half-lowered, revealing his sharply defined jawline.
"What is it?" His tone was still impatient, but his gaze involuntarily fell on the platinum ring on her ring finger, and a barely perceptible shadow flashed in his eyes.
"Let's talk." Yu Jiuyuan opened the car door and got in, ignoring his instantly stiff expression, and placed a document on his lap. "The Su family has fallen, the Lin family's situation must be not good, right?"
The document shows the stock price trend of the Lin family's related industries after the Su family went bankrupt. The red line, which kept falling to the daily limit, looked like a venomous snake, coiling around the Lin family's business empire.
Lin Yanran's pupils suddenly contracted, and she slammed the file shut: "You investigated me?"
“I’m just concerned about my business partners.” Yu Jiuyuan smiled casually, her fingertips tracing the fabric of his expensive trousers. “I can get Rong Shenghan to help the Lin family stabilize their stock price.”
Lin Yanran paused, clearly tempted.
But his inherent arrogance wouldn't allow him to back down, so he just snorted coldly, "My Lin family doesn't need women's help."
"I didn't help you for nothing." Yu Jiuyuan leaned closer to him, her voice carrying a hint of seduction. "Xie Zhecheng and Yuan Xu have both moved into my villa. Do you want to come too?"
Lin Yanran's eyes widened instantly, as if she had heard something unbelievable: "You want me to live with them? Yu Jiuyuan, are you crazy?"
“How could he be crazy?” Her fingertips lightly touched his Adam’s apple, the coolness of the pinky ring making him flinch. “We’re all in the student council, living together makes it easier to discuss work. Besides…”
She deliberately dragged out her words, watching the struggle in his eyes as if she were watching an interesting drama: "There's a temperature-controlled wine cellar in the villa, hiding the 1982 Lafite that you've been looking for for so long."
Lin Yanran's Adam's apple bobbed.
That bottle of Lafite was his favorite; he had been searching for it for over half a year without success, and he never expected to hear about it here.
Looking at the cunning in Yu Jiuyuan's eyes, he suddenly felt like a fish caught on bait, knowing there might be a trap, but still unable to resist taking a bite.
"Why should I believe you?" His voice remained firm, but he no longer refused.
Yu Jiuyuan smiled, tilted her head back and kissed the corner of his lips, the movement as quick as a feather brushing against his skin: "Because I am Yu Jiuyuan."
The blue light from the pinky ring flickered, and Lin Yanran's favorability rating quietly climbed to 48, like a tender sprout breaking through the soil.
Yu Jiuyuan knew that this wild horse was finally willing to approach her cage.
The day Lin Yanran moved into the villa was a complete disaster.
His suitcases filled half the living room, ranging from custom-made suits to limited-edition sneakers; he practically wanted to bring his entire walk-in closet.
Xie Zhecheng frowned as he tidied up the jumbled specimens, Yuan Xu pushed up her glasses and continued looking at the computer, only Rong Shenghan leaned against the door frame, smiling meaningfully.
"Young Master Lin's entourage is indeed extraordinary." His voice was soft, yet carried an unmistakable hint of mockery.
Lin Yanran snorted coldly, ignoring him, and simply raised her chin at Yu Jiuyuan: "Where's my wine?"
“It’s in the wine cellar.” Yu Jiuyuan walked over and naturally took his arm. “I’ll take you to see it.”
The cellar was filled with the aroma of oak barrels. Yu Jiuyuan opened the temperature-controlled cabinet, took out the bottle of 1982 Lafite, and waved it in front of him: "Do you like it?"
Lin Yanran's eyes lit up, and she reached out to take it, but she dodged away.
"Want some?" She stood on tiptoe, holding the bottle even higher, her voice sickeningly sweet. "That depends on my mood."
