Also known as: The Young Miss's Exclusive Taming Manual.
In the corridors of St. Ying Academy, Yu Jiu Yuan always wore a perfectly fitting innocent smile, like a harmless lily of the vall...
The weekend always has a lazy warmth, and sunlight shines through the villa's floor-to-ceiling windows, casting large patches of light on the floor.
Yu Jiuyuan sat on the living room carpet, flipping through documents. A cashmere blanket covered her knees. Her fingertips traced the analysis report on the remaining forces of the Su family on the paper, her brows furrowed slightly.
"Busy?" Xie Zhecheng's voice came from behind. He was wearing a light gray loungewear and holding a freshly brewed cup of tea, the steam rising from his cold eyes.
Yu Jiuyuan turned around and pointed to the sofa opposite her: "Sit." She closed the file and casually placed it on the coffee table. "There are still some loose ends left to clean up with the Su family. Su Jingshu said that we need to give them another push."
"Is there any movement from the Ji family?" Xie Zhecheng put down his teacup, his well-defined fingers gently stroking the rim.
He was always keenly aware of these family feuds, especially those involving Yu Jiuyuan's safety.
"After pushing Ji Luoqin out to take the blame, Ji Nianqin didn't do anything for the time being."
Yu Jiuyuan picked up a strawberry and popped it into her mouth, the sweet juice spreading. "But he's the kind of person who never plays by the rules, so we have to keep a close eye on him."
As they were talking, Lin Yanran came downstairs, wearing a black silk nightgown with the collar loosely open, revealing her well-defined collarbones.
He glanced at the two people in the living room, his tone carrying his usual arrogance: "What's all the noise about? Disturbing my sleep."
"Young Master Lin, did you sleep until noon?" Yu Jiuyuan raised an eyebrow at him, a hint of mockery in her eyes. "If you don't get up soon, your lunch will get cold."
Lin Yanran snorted, walked to the refrigerator, took a bottle of ice water, tilted her head back and gulped down a few mouthfuls, the curve of her Adam's apple bobbing clearly visible in the sunlight.
"Didn't we agree yesterday that it's our turn today?" He put down his water bottle, his gaze falling on Yu Jiuyuan with undisguised aggression.
Xie Zhecheng's brows furrowed almost imperceptibly, but he didn't say anything. This was a private agreement among them: on weekends, it was his and Lin Yanran's turn to "get close" to Yu Jiuyuan during the day.
Looking at the emotions in their eyes, Yu Jiuyuan suddenly smiled.
She stood up, tossed the cashmere blanket onto the sofa, walked over to Lin Yanran, and gently lifted the collar of his bathrobe with her fingertips: "What? Is Director Lin getting impatient?"
Lin Yanran paused, reaching out to grab her wrist, but she deftly dodged.
"Scared?" He raised an eyebrow, his tone slightly provocative.
"What do I have to be afraid of?" Yu Jiuyuan turned and walked towards the stairs, then winked at them as she looked back. "Upstairs to the study, wanna come?"
Xie Zhecheng and Lin Yanran exchanged a glance. A complex emotion flashed in the former's eyes, while the latter showed undisguised eagerness. The two followed one after the other.
The study was filled with the faint scent of ink, and the bookshelves were filled with finely bound books. Sunlight streamed in through the skylight, casting diamond-shaped patches of light on the floor.
Yu Jiuyuan leaned against the desk, watching the two approach, toying with a pen between her fingers: "So, what do you want?"
Xie Zhecheng walked up to her first, looked down at her, and a rare touch of warmth appeared in his cold eyes: "I found the resources for that documentary you said you wanted to watch last time."
"Documentary?" Lin Yanran scoffed, walked to the other side, put her arm around Yu Jiuyuan's waist, and pulled her closer to her. "Who wants to watch that boring stuff with you?"
He lowered his head, his nose almost touching the nape of her neck. "Yu Jiuyuan, how long has it been since we were alone together?"
Yu Jiuyuan was struggling to breathe from his tightness, so she raised her hand and pushed against his chest: "Lin Yanran, loosen your grip a bit."
Xie Zhecheng reached out and pulled her out of Lin Yanran's arms, pulling her to his side protectively, his tone cold: "Behave yourself."
"What's it to you if I talk to her?" Lin Yanran's temper flared instantly, and she glared at Xie Zhecheng with hostility.
Seeing that the two were about to argue again, Yu Jiuyuan suddenly laughed out loud: "Alright, stop arguing."
She stepped out from behind Xie Zhecheng, looked at the two of them separately, and said, "Since it's your time, then we'll do as you say."
She walked over to the sofa, sat down, and patted the spot next to her. "Come here."
Xie Zhecheng sat down first, his posture upright, like a silent pine tree.
Lin Yanran followed closely behind, deliberately nudging Xie Zhecheng, and sat down on the other side of Yu Jiuyuan, raising her eyebrows smugly.
Yu Jiuyuan shook her head helplessly as she watched their childish behavior.
These people would always do things that were out of character to get her attention, like a pack of dogs fighting over a bone, and she was happy to be the owner holding the bone.
"Tell me, what exactly do you want?" she asked languidly, leaning back on the sofa.
Before Xie Zhecheng could speak, Lin Yanran leaned in first and kissed her lips without saying a word.
The kiss was urgent and domineering, as if it were a declaration of sovereignty.
Yu Jiuyuan paused for a moment, then closed her eyes, neither resisting nor yielding.
Xie Zhecheng's face darkened, and his hands, resting on his knees, clenched tightly until his knuckles turned white.
But he didn't act impulsively like Lin Yanran; he just watched quietly, his eyes swirling with complex emotions.
Lin Yanran kissed her for a long time before letting go, and a hint of smugness flashed in his eyes as he looked at her lips, which were red from the kiss.
He was about to say something more when he saw Yu Jiuyuan turn to look at Xie Zhecheng, her eyes filled with amusement: "President Xie, aren't you going to do something?"
Xie Zhecheng paused, looking at the smile in her eyes, and suddenly leaned down and gently kissed her.
His kiss was completely different from Lin Yanran's; it was gentle and restrained, yet carried an undeniable deep affection, like a silent drizzle in spring, slowly seeping into one's heart.
Yu Jiuyuan could feel Lin Yanran's body stiffen instantly beside her, and the smile on her lips deepened.
