Chapter 30: A Scheme of Evil

Lin Fuqi was trembling all over. He said to An Yan, "You must save him. I don't know who beat him up like this. It's his own fault for not living up to his expectations. He always hangs out with those shady people, which is why he got into such a big trouble."

An Yan noticed that Lin Fu's eyes were red, which showed that he cared about this person very much. Although he was scolding him, he was worried about him in his heart. So for his sake, she let it go and said, "When he wakes up later, you have to teach him a lesson."

"Of course, we must. He must learn this lesson." Lin Fu nodded repeatedly, and then moved a stool over for An Yan to sit on.

An Yan did not sit down. She took out three gold needles and stuck them into his head respectively, then took them out after a minute.

Less than five minutes later, the person on the bed woke up. He was not conscious at first and had no idea who was in front of him. Then he saw Lin Fu and called out, "Uncle."

"Okay, I'll wait until you're full before I scold you." Lin Fu asked An Yan to look after him here first, and he would be back soon. Then he left the ward and closed the door.

Lin Ye looked terrified and asked, "Why are you doing this?"

"I would like to ask you why you did this. I have no grudge against you, but you actually dared to set a trap for me. When I failed to fall into the trap, you wanted to hit me. Who asked you to come?" An Yan asked him in a cold tone.

Lin Ye frowned and said, "I can't tell you."

"You don't have to say it if you still want to go back to being a vegetable." An Yan gestured for him to cooperate.

Lin Ye thought about it carefully, and finally said: "It was the Lu family who asked me to come to you for trouble. At first, they wanted to use their beauty trap on you, but you didn't fall for it, so I wanted to knock you out and then hand you over to them."

"Is this what they told you to do?" An Yan asked again.

"They wanted to capture you alive. I don't know anything else." Lin Ye glanced at An Yan as he spoke, and then said, "I didn't do this. It's just that I am friends with Young Master Lu, and I agreed to it out of brotherhood."

"What a bunch of idiots." An Yan snorted.

"Is this the method you use to get a woman?" An Yan asked him back.

An Yan thought he was really crazy and said, "You are good friends with the young master of the Lu family, right?"

"Lu Tong is a pretty good guy. He's generous and has basically no faults." Lin Ye nodded.

"Lu Tong, the fourth child, has three older sisters, Mei, Lan, and Zhu." An Yan's investigation was quite thorough. She probably already knew what they were planning to do. Looking at Lin Ye, she also found him to be a fool.

Lin Ye asked, "You can't say I said that. I'll return the money to him tomorrow."

"Be a good person." An Yan sneered.

Lin Ye lowered his head and said nothing. He saw Lin Fu coming back with food in his hand.

When An Yan saw him coming back, she prepared to leave and said, "He's fine now. I'll go back now."

Lin Fu also knew that the hospital smelled bad, so he didn't want to keep her. He said to her, "You have to wait a little longer. Wait for me. I'll take care of him and then I'll drive you home."

"No need, there's a taxi." An Yan said and left the ward.

She had already guessed what the three major families wanted to do. Their silence for so long did not mean they were doing nothing. Maybe they wanted to capture her and then force her to do things and take out the antidote, or more likely, they wanted her to get out of this place.

She has no power or money now, so she needs to plan carefully.

As the days passed, An Yan took care of Hua Ye and An Cheng at the same time, and completely forgot about the business card that Mrs. Li gave her until Mrs. Li called her and asked her how the clothes were made.

An Yan quickly said, "I've been busy these past two days and haven't had time to go over and see it."

"Do you want me to go with you? Let's go this afternoon, okay?" Mrs. Li asked her.

"I don't know when I'll be free later, so I can go there by myself." An Yan thought it was not good to trouble Mrs. Li.

But Wang Lina, who was beside Madam Li, said, "I can just go with her. It's the same."

Madam Li looked at Wang Lina and asked, "You're going to start a quarrel with her again, which will only hurt your reputation."

"I won't, I've already made peace with her." Wang Lina said coquettishly, and glanced at Li Rongsen beside her.

Li Rongsen remained calm, but he had already seen what was on the woman's mind. She accompanied An Yan just to trip her up. He didn't have the ability to read minds before, but since he got it, he couldn't be deceived by Wang Lina's appearance anymore. She was simply full of bad intentions.

When Mrs. Li heard Wang Lina say this, she agreed and said to An Yan, "Yan Yan, you don't have a car, so it's not convenient for you to go there. I'll let Lina take you there, and it would be good for you two to discuss it together."

An Yan frowned, she felt it was too troublesome.

Mrs. Li took her as her agreement and said, "It's settled then. I'll have her pick you up shortly. You two can go together." She hung up the phone and then instructed Wang Lina, "You better be generous to her. She saved my life. Don't always look down on her. She's a rich lady, too."

Damn rich girl, she's just a third-rate trash, she'll be taught a lesson soon, and she'll be tortured until she cries. Wang Lina cursed in her heart, but said, "I know, my savior, how dare I offend him." After that, she looked at Li Rongsen and smiled at him, looking gentle and amiable.
