He was once a top-tier assassin, an existence that even international police feared. Now, he's the small owner of a dry-cleaning shop.
To take care of his younger brother and sister, whom...
"Jia, I'm going to ask my brother where he works! Who killed my brother? I'm going to get justice for him myself!" The delicate handwriting revealed Hai Mingyue's determination, but after reading it, Li Jia couldn't help but think to herself, "This silly girl, how can she be so stubborn?"
Haifei works at Diamond Bodyguard Company. Although Diamond is not a world-class bodyguard company, it has a certain reputation in New York and even globally. Their headquarters is located in the famous Empire State Building in New York. The Empire State Building has a total of 102 floors, and Diamond's headquarters is located on the 86th floor!
After Li Jia left, Hai Mingyue didn't hesitate for almost a moment. She picked up her pistol, took two spare magazines, stuffed them into her large clothes, and left the hotel. The Empire State Building was easy to find; any taxi driver could easily find several routes to get there from such a landmark building.
At 50 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, New York, the Empire State Building stood tall, piercing the clouds. After taking a deep breath, Hai Mingyue walked towards the building. When she arrived at the entrance, she was disappointed to realize it was the middle of the night. Who could she possibly find if she came here with a gun? Besides, the building's doors were tightly closed, and the heavily guarded entrance made it impossible for her to enter at this hour.
Hai Mingyue smiled to herself, carefully surveyed the 400-meter-tall building, then turned and left with a detached air. She walked aimlessly alone on the streets of Manhattan, the cold night wind suddenly making her feel chilly. She regretted her impulsive actions, and thinking of Li Jia's words, she couldn't help but worry, "Will Feng be worried if I'm not here? He'll definitely come looking for me immediately. No, I have to call him. I didn't mean to make him worry!"
After telling herself this, Hai Mingyue took out her phone and dialed Li Jia's number. The call was answered immediately. Li Jia was in her car speeding towards the Empire State Building at that moment. The first thing she asked after receiving Hai Mingyue's call was, "Where are you?"
"Public library..." Hai Mingyue had just finished stating her location when she found herself surrounded by three burly black men. "What do you want?" Hai Mingyue, who was in a very bad mood, wasn't too afraid. Because she was already full of anger with nowhere to vent it, and she was carrying a gun, she didn't feel much fear facing three tall black men.
"What are we going to do? Hahaha, she's asking us what we're going to do?"
"It's too cold here, we want to find a woman to warm us up."
"Everyone says that Eastern women have beautiful skin, and although their figures aren't as voluptuous as ours, we've always wanted to try. Today the opportunity has come. So... what do you suggest we do?"
The three men's words ignited Hai Mingyue's anger instantly. She reached into her pocket, pulled out her USP, and without hesitation, fired two shots, "Bang! Bang!" Both bullets struck two of the Black men directly in the chest. Seeing that they were beyond saving, the other Black man fled in panic, abandoning his companion.
"You scum! Trash! Degenerates! Bang! Bang! Bang!" Hai Mingyue shouted, firing her gun incessantly. The two already cold corpses died even more thoroughly in her rage. After emptying her gun, a wave of bitterness overwhelmed her. The pistol fell to the ground, and Hai Mingyue knelt before the two bodies, tears streaming down her face.
"Don't move! Put your hands on your head!" The New York police were very efficient. In less than ten minutes, two police officers followed the black man who had run away to the scene. They saw Hai Mingyue squatting there crying, with two corpses lying motionless to the side.
Hai Mingyue was startled by the sound of the police, then realized she had killed someone. Two corpses lay before her, reeking of blood. Hai Mingyue was already sobbing uncontrollably, her hair, past her ears, disheveled and obscuring her face. Only after the police repeatedly called her name did Hai Mingyue raise her hands and stand up.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!" After three gunshots, Hai Mingyue opened her tightly closed eyes again, only to find her man, Li Jia, standing nearby. "Silly girl, are you alright?"
Hai Mingyue shook her head blankly, then threw herself into Li Jia's arms and burst into tears! Li Jia said nothing, picked up Hai Mingyue and left the scene. In front of the New York Public Library, five bodies lay motionless in the night wind: three black men and two policemen.
"Go take a shower. Take a shower and get a good night's sleep." Li Jia carried Hai Mingyue into the bathroom, adjusted the water temperature for her, and then turned and walked out.
On the sofa, Li Jia turned on her computer, transferred the map of SG Bar from her phone to the computer, and then zoomed in to examine it closely. She carefully considered every detail. Then she took out paper and pen and spent a full hour writing and drawing before finally finishing.
The sound of water in the bathroom continued. Li Jia stared in the direction of the bathroom for a moment, then got up and walked to the bathroom door. She reached out and gently knocked on the door, but after a while, there was still no response.
After considering for a moment, Li Jia gently opened the bathroom door. Inside, Hai Mingyue sat motionless under the showerhead, not even taking off her clothes, letting the water wash over her hair, clothes, and soul.
“Moon…” Li Jia walked over gently and sat down with Hai Mingyue. In a short while, both of them were soaked. Hai Mingyue couldn’t help but throw herself into Li Jia’s arms because Li Jia was sitting next to her. Tears mixed with soft sobs echoed in the bathroom.
