Xia Xiang is the most special child in the Xia Lan Xing De family. Because she is a rare light-type elemental warrior, she could not stay in the Xia household to grow up. Since birth, she has grown...
What's going on?
Xia Xiang had already changed into training clothes made of the same material as the elders' clothes. She looked at the wooden house in front of her with confusion, and then looked at Huai An beside her with disdain.
She was originally going to go to that forest with those little kids, but Huai'an suddenly appeared, looking very unwilling, and roughly dragged her to this somewhat desolate place.
"I'm leaving soon, so you can stay in this little cabin. Keep an eye on the house for me." Huai'an patted Xia Xiang's thin shoulder and pointed to the little cabin.
"Why should I guard your house! I won't!" Xia Xiang slapped Huai An's hand away and patted the clothes he had touched in disgust.
Huai'an: ...
“There are no girls your age on the island. If you don’t want to share a house with those little monkeys, you can stay here.” Huai’an held the key in front of her.
"Build houses?!" Xia Xiang exclaimed in shock. "You've brought so many children to the island to build houses!"
"This is also part of cultivation..." Huai'an was immediately speechless. How could this child talk like that? "Also, don't use such harsh language. What do you mean by 'grabbing a child'? You've tarnished the reputation of Demon-Slaying Island!"
Xia Xiang: "You are the number one person to smear Demon Island! I am ashamed of myself!"
"Fine, then don't take it." Huai'an put the key away.
"Why not stay here?" Xia Xiang quickly snatched the keys. The little house was very much to her liking, but it felt bare. It would be nice if there were some plants.
“Honey, have you ever heard the saying, ‘You can’t have everything’?” Huai’an smiled maliciously at her satisfied expression.
"Never heard of it," Xia Xiang gripped the key in her hand, suddenly feeling that it was a little hot. "Also, who is your baby? Don't call me that."
"Don't be shy, brother will show you right away what it means to have gains and losses."
Huai'an found Xia Xiang's expression very cute, and grinned with his big teeth. Ignoring her wishes, he pulled the sulking person towards the woods in the distance, while introducing her to the general layout of Bamo Island.
The five elders she had just met, led by the elder with the long white beard, were the highest-ranking officials on Demon-Slaying Island. They each managed different areas and affairs; she could ask them for details herself.
Her primary contact was the mute, round-faced Elder Pang; she consulted him for everything.
Xia Xiang: ......
The island is divided into four main areas: the island center, which is where they just went, is relatively modern; then there is the outer area, which has primeval forests, plains, lakes, hills, snow-capped mountains... In short, the environment is very complex and is mostly used for training.
The third is Rock Valley, a rather sensitive area used to imprison monsters; the fourth is the northernmost part of the island, where there is a terrifying monster swamp.
They had finished introducing Huai'an, but they still hadn't left the plain where they were building their houses.
"I'm in a bit of a hurry," Huai'an said, then grabbed Xia Xiang by the collar and teleported quickly, arriving at the edge of a bottomless cliff in the blink of an eye.
"Jump down," Huai'an put Xia Xiang down and gestured with his chin toward the direction of the cliff.
"You're insane!" Xia Xiang turned to leave, but Huai An grabbed her by the back of the collar and threw her off the cliff.
"Ah!!! Huai'an! You bastard!" Xia Xiang screamed, her voice growing fainter with fear and anger...
The wind howled in Xia Xiang's ears, transforming into invisible blades that attacked her. The lower she fell, the colder the air became, almost freezing her to the bone.
Xia Xiang instinctively tried to circulate the energy within her body, but felt a heavy constraint, as if she were imprisoned by ice, her dantian feeling icy cold.
But there was no time to think about it, because the bottom of the cliff was almost there.
At the bottom of the cliff is a lush green meadow, with colorful wildflowers of various shapes and colors visible from afar.
Xia Xiang thought she would freeze to death or fall to her death, but in fact, her speed gradually decreased as she approached the bottom of the cliff, and the temperature began to warm up. She landed slowly, without even bending a single blade of grass.
Ignoring her still-pounding heart, she leaped up with a whoosh, her anger erupting like a volcano. She cursed at the cliff shrouded in mist, not knowing whether her voice could penetrate the heavy clouds and reach the top.
After she finished cursing, Huai'an's voice rang in her ear.
"Xiao Xiangxiang, this is your training. When you can land safely on your own, you can start the next project."
"Oh, and also, there's no path to the top of the cliff; you'll have to climb up on your own. Good luck!"
Unlike other supernatural beings, demon-slaying warriors place greater emphasis on physical training and have extremely high physical fitness requirements, which greatly enhances their ability to protect themselves and fight against the demon realm.
"Huai'an, what did you say before? Have you forgotten so quickly?" Xia Xiang's chest heaved with anger. "You're a kidnapper, a big liar!"
"What did you say? I can't hear you. Come up here and we'll talk." Huai'an said lazily. "You keep using the same few words to curse. Your swearing skills need improvement."
"You scoundrel!"
Although Xia Xiang was furious, she never sat idly by. After venting her anger and destroying a large area of flowers and plants, she resigned herself to her fate and began to look for a way to climb up the bare cliff.
Actually, when she fell, for a moment, many unfamiliar yet familiar scenes flashed through her mind: the warmth of being with her family, the loneliness of meditating, and the times she was so angry that she jumped up and down.
She really wanted to remember quickly; they must be anxiously searching for her, waiting for her to come home.
