The world is a piece of dog shit, but luckily you are by my side.
I woke up and went from being Chinese in China to being Chinese in America.
Oh well, being Chinese is fine.
Just ...
Chapter 119
She's been having a headache lately. Don't get me wrong, it's not that the pain has gone away, it's that she finally understands why it hurts.
The previously irritating sounds finally became clear, and the blurry picture jumped from 360p to 4k. To put it more bluntly, she regained her memory.
At this damned time, she regained her memories.
Like a classic scene in a novel, you have to choose between two sides.
Lina opened her eyes and stared blankly at the dilapidated ceiling, mold, and rust, all of which indicated that she was now in the Saviour's Hall.
"Wow, wow, wow, Sleeping Beauty opened her eyes, damn! A true love's kiss always brings surprises."
Hearing that disgusting sound, Lina rolled her eyes. "To hell with 'True Love's Kiss,' have you been hanging out with elementary school kids for too long and your brain's been acting up all the time? Wait, you fucking kissed me?!?"
“…This really startled me.” Negan said after a moment of silence, “I should have known better than to drag my lovely little Sean down with me.”
“Disgusting,” Lena sat up, looking at Negan with a complicated expression. The scene might be confusing to everyone, but Negan was her neighbor, the kind of neighbor she had for many years, from when she moved to Virginia until before her car accident.
She was a flower girl when Negan got married.
Speaking of this, Lucille, Lina sighed, that feeling of frustration returning. It turned out that she had always been powerless, only able to watch helplessly as fate moved in the predetermined direction.
"Where's Daryl?" Lina looked around but couldn't find Daryl, and immediately became alert. Could he have abused her Daryl? Like making him a 'poop' sandwich or something?
“As soon as I woke up, I asked him,” Negan said, looking at Lina with displeasure. “That kid is alright, but…”
“Shut up,” Negan said, and Lina knew exactly what he was going to say. “Don’t act like you’re my boss, pointing fingers at me. I don’t need your permission, nor do I need it.” Lina pulled out the IV needle from her hand and put her legs down on the hospital bed, looking for her signature knee-high boots.
“Tsk,” Negan’s face darkened. “Now that Edward and the others are gone, I have the right to control you.”
"Pfft," Lina looked at Negan with a sneer, "Get your facts straight. You're just my former neighbor. We haven't seen each other for years. Don't be so eager to be my cheap daddy. I don't need you."
“Don’t worry, I’m not interested in being someone’s father, and even if I were, I wouldn’t want you.” Negan glared at Lina and said, “…You have to listen to my Lina. This isn’t a discussion, it’s an announcement.”
Negan raised his head and glanced at Lina. "You didn't have a choice, you know that?"
"FU%CK U!" Lina zipped up her boots, gave Negan two middle fingers, picked up the knife from the side and tucked it into her waistband, then walked toward the door.
“Tsk,” Negan frowned, “Where are you going?”
“Go find Daryl, or what?” Lina opened the door, and there stood that annoying Dwight. Lina glared at him fiercely.
“And then?” Negan asked.
“Leave, go home.” Lina turned to Negan. “What else? Are you going to kill me?” Lina looked at Negan defiantly.
Negan stared at Lena for a long time with a grim face, until Lena grew impatient. Negan stood up and slowly walked to the door. "See, you still don't understand the situation, Lena. Now it's my turn to call the shots. I won't kill you, there's nothing I can do, what can I do, you are... But it's okay, I'll smash that old man's head in front of you first, then go to Alexandria, one by one, and smash all their heads. Do you want to see that?" Negan walked up to Lena, bent down slightly, and stared into her eyes.
“You know I hate lying to kids the most. Oh, you’re not a kid anymore. Oh no, your height always makes it hard for me to tell the difference between ten years ago and now.”
"Go to hell!" Lina stomped on Negan's foot. "I'm 1.6 meters tall now, you bastard!"
Negan shrugged. "What's the difference, shorty?" He lazily straightened up, grabbed Lena's arm, and shoved her into the ward. "Get this straight, you're a prisoner now, and my patience has its limits. D, you watch over her, don't let her leave. I have to go finish our work," Negan clicked his tongue impatiently, glaring at Lena. "It's all your fault, you ruined my plans. Now I have to go all the way again."
"You're going to Alexandria?" Lina's eyes widened.
“Of course,” Negan nodded casually, a mischievous smirk playing on his lips, before slamming the door shut.
Lena pounded on the door, pulling and pulling at the lock, but it was locked. "You can't go! Don't hurt them! Negan! You old bastard! Don't touch them! Please!"
There was no sound outside the door. Lina pounded on the door frantically, but it was no use.
"As long as you listen to them, as long as they cooperate, I've said it before, one person, Lina, you know, rules are rules." The whistle rang out, growing fainter and fainter.
Lina slid down to the ground in despair, but it was no use.
Lina took a deep breath and began to check the room. There were no windows, so the idea of climbing through the window was put to rest.
Lina paced anxiously back and forth before finally knocking on the door. "Hey, you scarred guy, I need to use the bathroom!"
"There's a chamber pot inside."
"I need to poop!!!" Lina shouted angrily.
"Lari!"
"FU%CK!" Lina kicked the door hard in anger.
"I'm hungry! I'm thirsty!" Lina shouted again not long after.
“…Tsk.” Dwight clicked his tongue impatiently, but he had no choice but to watch over her since he was assigned to do so.
As the footsteps at the door gradually faded away, Lina pulled out her dagger and began to pry open the door. The old iron door was no match for the sharp blade. Unfamiliar with the layout of the place, Lina could only move away from the path the man had taken and carefully search for Daryl in the church, hugging the walls.
The huge factory looked exactly the same everywhere, and Lina quickly became disoriented.
"Ugh!" Lina was pulled into the dark room by a pair of hands. In a panic, she elbowed him in the ribs and then turned around and kneed him in the lower body.
"Fuck!" Sean quickly took a step back, dodging Lina's egg-crushing attack. "Quiet down!"
Lina stopped attacking when she heard Sean's voice. "How are you still alive?" Lina asked, frowning.
Sean nearly ground his teeth to powder. "This bastard, you're still alive, why can't I?" He took a deep breath and realized what he was going to ask, trying to tell himself not to let her lead him astray.
“Listen, tell me her name. You’ve been caught. What about her? What if she…” Sean asked anxiously.
“Karl and Sophia are here, what are you afraid of?” Lina rolled her eyes. “More importantly, tell me where Daryl is.”
Sean realized he had indeed been scammed by Lena last time. He knew it! What kind of damned bank-level insurance was this? He gritted his teeth in anger. How was that damned brat still alive?!
“Tell me her name,” Sean asked coldly.
"I'm not telling you!" Lina snorted and pushed open the door to leave.
Sean lunged forward and grabbed Lena by the neck. Lena's face turned red, and she struggled to hit Sean's arm.
“I really want to snap your neck,” Sean said viciously in Lina’s ear.
Lena coughed, then raised one hand and poked Sean's face. Sean cried out in pain and released Lena. Lena clutched her neck, coughing for a while, watching Sean wince in pain but also afraid to touch his face.
She had already smelled the burnt and stinky smell of cooked meat on his face!
With his cheek branded, Sean looked like a wolf, glaring resentfully at Lena. "They've already gone to Alexandria. Negan won't kill the child. I'll find her. I don't need you. I can find her myself."
"Well, good luck then?" Lina touched her neck. This bastard, does he hate her that much? He always wants to kill her.
“No, I don’t need you. You should pray for your own luck.” Sean sneered, then shouted behind Lina, “She’s here!”
"I knew it!" Lina rolled her eyes and turned her head. Dwight and his men had already blocked the road. Lina was ready to beat up that bastard Sean, since there were a group of people behind her and only that bastard Sean in front of her.
“Come back with me, or I’ll cut off Daryl’s hand right now,” Dwight said.
"Hands, feet, eyes, ears, nose..."
“Negan said you can’t touch him, but he didn’t say you can’t touch him. If you make my job difficult again, I’ll have someone chop him up.”
Lena turned and glared at Dwight. "Bastard."
Dwight stepped aside. "Let's go back."
Lina had no choice but to return the way she came. She bit her lip anxiously; she was finished.

They discussed it all night, and everyone undoubtedly wanted to resist, but there were too many Saviors, and they had hostages in their hands. Rick was so frustrated he was practically bald from all the talking, but he still couldn't figure out what to do.
If you don't want to face the Salvation Army, you only have three options: run away, resist, or obey.
Alexander was filled with anxiety. No one wanted to give up their home, but even Rick said they couldn't beat them, and the rest of the people dared not resist.
Everyone was uneasy, but no one wanted to leave Alexandria. They knew that leaving meant certain death, while staying meant that whether they rebelled or listened to the Salvation Army, there was always a way to survive.
Many people even think that the Salvation Army may not be so terrible.
Regardless, everyone hopes to resolve this matter peacefully. Even if it involves tribute, as long as it's not excessive, they can accept it.
Rick knew everyone was scared, but he also knew this wasn't going to be easy to resolve, and Spencer and a group of others were taking a hard line.
“You told us to accept last time, and we accepted. Look at us now, we’ve really gotten ourselves into big trouble. Anyway, we have crops now, and we can afford to pay a certain share of the tribute. We just don’t want to see anyone else die.”
Rick sighed helplessly. The Salvation Army wasn't a group of people who would reason with others, and people who hadn't seen it with their own eyes were always unwilling to believe it.
No matter how much he was troubled, what was bound to happen still happened.
Countless bullets and mortars kissed the land of Alexandria with fervor; the Salvation Army had arrived.
