The Walking Dead: Transmigrated

The world is a piece of dog shit, but luckily you are by my side.

I woke up and went from being Chinese in China to being Chinese in America.

Oh well, being Chinese is fine.

Chapter 42

"Can you please stop being angry!" Lina jogged after Glenn, who was walking with his head covered.

Upon hearing this, Glenn stopped angrily and looked at Lina. He tried to lower his voice, but it was still inevitably raised due to his anger. "When are you going to stop your suicidal behavior?"

“I didn’t go to my death, nor did I commit suicide. You can’t always assume I don’t think things through just because I’m young,” Lina shouted angrily.

"Think? I'm truly astonished that such a word still exists in your mind! Perhaps you still remember that we are a team, that we are still alive, instead of you rushing in on a whim." Glenn gestured excitedly with his hands, clenching his fists, then releasing them, and finally angrily putting his hands on his hips.

“Of course I remember. Sasha and I agreed that I would go forward and she would cover the rear. We were working as a team, and in that situation, it was best for me to go. I was the lightest among us,” Lina explained, suppressing her anger.

"So you just sent her to her death?" Glenn turned his head to look at Sasha.

Sasha, knowing she couldn't escape, smiled helplessly and sighed, "We discussed it, and it's the best way. I don't think..."

“So you sent her to her death,” Glenn said.

"Who gave you the right to talk to Sasha like that? I'm a sane person who can take responsibility for my actions. We made the best solution for the situation. She didn't send me to my death. Don't act like an idiot, Glenn!" Lina said angrily, suppressing her rage.

"Not eighteen? Take responsibility for yourself? Stop suicidal acts before you spout this bullshit about taking responsibility for yourself!" Glenn shouted angrily.

“You shouldn’t have let her go,” Daryl said, walking up to Sasha. Sasha gave Daryl a headache-inducing look. Well, well, she hadn’t really thought things through.

“No,” Daryl quickly changed his tune, “it wasn’t you, it was me, it was my fault, I shouldn’t have let her come along.”

Sasha was speechless after being left speechless by those words. If Lina found out, she would come and argue with Daryl again.

Sasha held the gun weakly, rolled her eyes, and couldn't stand how these people got carried away by their concern.

"Shut up! Grab your things, let's go in now and get this over with quickly," Michonne shouted, giving Glenn and Lina a stern look. "If you two can't calm down, get back to the car right now."

Glenn's chest heaved violently. He took several deep breaths and finally nodded to Michonne.

Lena wasn't ungrateful; she knew Glenn was angry because he cared about her, even though she thought it was a bit much, but his intentions were still for her benefit.

Glenn grabbed a handful of hair, turned and walked into the warehouse.

Seeing this, Lina quickly used her trump card, chasing after him while shouting, "Oppa! Don't go!" (Korean: Don't go!)

"Speak politely, you little brat!" Glenn shouted without turning his head.

“Those two siblings can be quite scary when they get angry,” Bob whispered in Sasha’s ear as he walked up to her.

“You know what? Some people are like that too,” Tersey teased Sasha, who rolled her eyes at her.

“And you? Are you alright?” Michonne asked Daryl.

Zach stared blankly at Michonne and Daryl. Wait, what happened to Daryl? Did he miss something?

"No, it's nothing." Daryl didn't say anything more, picked up his bow and went inside.

Knowing that there was a risk of collapse at any time, everyone rushed to find things according to the list as soon as they entered, and pushed carts to transport them out.

Glenn was still angry, but he had calmed down a bit. As he passed Sasha, he apologized to her, "I shouldn't have taken my anger out on you, I'm sorry."

“No, no, I didn’t think it through,” Sasha said. “It’s just that you, you should trust her more. The more you treat her like a child, the more she…” Sasha couldn’t help but remind her.

“I know, but you, you really have no idea how audacious she is,” Glenn said angrily. “I can’t think about it anymore, or I’ll get angry again.”

Glenn glared at Lina, who was not far away. Lina looked at Glenn, who had finally calmed down a bit, and then became furious again.

I've had enough! How can these men be so petty? They keep trying to coax me endlessly!

They've really spoiled them rotten; they should just be driven mad!

Lina, furious, turned and left. Whatever, she wasn't going to try to appease her anymore!

With the supplies mostly delivered, Lina kept her eyes glued to the ceiling above her head, the sound of dripping water never ceasing.

Bob wandered over to where the liquor was kept. He stared at the bottles with a strange look in his eyes, as if some kind of magic was drawing him in. Bob hesitated and reached out his hand, but Lena grabbed it.

Bob was startled and turned to Lena with a look of surprise and disbelief. "My God—"

“It’s not on the list. We have enough stuff already, it would be a hassle to bring it,” Lina reminded us.

“Yes, yes,” Bob laughed hurriedly and pushed the cart away.

Lena breathed a sigh of relief, glanced at the shelf, and pushed the shopping cart away. Suddenly, a bottle of wine wobbled and fell down, the crisp sound startling everyone. Then, the entire shelf collapsed with a crash.

Lena looked at the shelf in shock, while Daryl, who was in the distance, ran over frantically and grabbed Lena.

"Are you alright?" Daryl grabbed Lina and looked her over.

Lina nodded blankly. He had spoken to her and even held her hand.

There was no time to stand still. Lina noticed that the warehouse had lit up, and the ceiling had collapsed. A few zombies fell down, and everyone rushed out because the helicopter was creaking and about to crush the entire ceiling!

Lina pushed the shopping cart at breakneck speed, thankfully managing to take care of quite a few zombies along the way!

Bob was hit by a body that suddenly fell and fell behind. Zach saw this and went to pull him up.

"Can you do it?" Daryl glanced at Lina and asked.

“No problem,” Lina said.

Daryl turned to pull Zach and Bob up. Just as he pulled Bob up, the three of them ran out. A walker fell from the sky and hit Zach squarely. Zach screamed as a piece of his face was torn off.

Zach screamed repeatedly, "Go!"

Daryl dragged the weak-legged Bob out, and the warehouse behind them collapsed with a crash.

Although they brought back a lot of supplies, they were missing one person, and the whole team became particularly gloomy on the way back.

Lina regretted not taking the time to clear all the walkers from the helicopter area.

Everyone silently carried out the collected supplies and handed them to Patricia. Seeing the gloomy atmosphere, Patricia realized that something might have happened and patted everyone's hand reassuringly.

Lina walked back with her head down.

“It’s not your fault,” Daryl suddenly said.

Lina didn't look back, didn't stop, she just kept moving forward.

Daryl watched Lina's retreating figure in silence, fidgeting with the hem of his clothes in frustration.

After thinking for a moment, he sighed, went upstairs, and came to Beth's cubicle. He looked at Beth with a hesitant expression.

Beth was a smart girl. "Zack, is he dead?"

Daryl nodded.

“Oh,” Beth said calmly. She got out of bed and moved the board she had made. [0 days without incident.]

Daryl looked at Beth with some surprise.

"What's wrong?" Beth asked, noticing his gaze.

Daryl shrugged and curled his lip. He was a little surprised, but not that surprised. People grow up.

“I will never cry again,” Beth said. “I’m just so glad I met him.”

“Me too,” Daryl said. The quirky young man never figured out what Daryl did for a living.

Beth looked at Daryl with concern, "Are you alright?"

Daryl shook his head slightly, then quickly lowered his head to hide his dismay. "I'm just tired of my companions leaving."

Beth gave Daryl a comforting hug.

“I’m so glad I didn’t say goodbye to him. I hate saying goodbye,” Beth said.

“Me too,” Daryl said.

Beth released Daryl, hesitating to speak, "Don't let yourself regret it."

Daryl looked down at his fingers.

“At least when I think of him, it’s always when we were happy,” Beth said.

Daryl nodded perfunctorily, glancing at Lina's cubicle.

Opening the cell lock was not difficult for Daryl. Through the iron bars, Daryl could only see the tightly hung bed sheets. The lock on the door told him that Lina was inside.

She only locks the door when she's inside; she doesn't lock it when she's not.

Daryl easily unlocked the door without a key. With a creak, he pushed the door open. Lina, with tears still on her face, looked up warily at the doorway.

When Lina saw that it was Daryl, her expression became even more astonished.

"You picked my lock?" Lina quickly realized what was happening and looked at Daryl in disbelief.

“I… want to talk to you,” Daryl said.

A listless Lina didn't want to talk; she wasn't in the mood. All she knew was that she'd messed up again, and time would soon be over in prison...

Lina jumped up in surprise, completely forgetting about the infectious disease!

"What's wrong?" Daryl was startled and looked at Lina with a puzzled expression.

"Don't ask so many questions," Lina grabbed her backpack, pulled out a dozen masks, put them on herself, forced Daryl to put them on as well, and then ran downstairs.

Daryl stood there stunned for a long time before running downstairs.

Lena rushed up to Herschel and Rick, "Is the pig dead?"

Rick paused for a moment, then nodded blankly.

"F%¥K!" Lina blurted out in frustration.

"Ahem!" Herschel coughed, signaling Lina to watch her language.

"Herschel, do you know about bird flu?" Lina didn't have time for that anymore; she looked at Herschel seriously.

As a veterinarian, Herschel was well aware of these things. After a moment's thought, he immediately became serious. Lina handed him a mask and told him to put it on. The two of them went to the pigpen to check.

“Are there any other animals acting strangely?” Lina asked.

Rick, holding Judith, watched the two with concern, wanting to follow them. Hearing Lena's words, he thought of what he had seen in the woods that day: "There was a wild boar in the woods that died for some reason. Although all the pigs we raise are a bit listless, only Violet died today."

“If someone gets sick…” Lina thought of Patrick, who was the first to fall ill.

“I’ll go on patrol, you go watch the pigs,” Lina said to Herschel.

"Be careful," Herschel instructed, hurrying outside. He had noticed the pigs were unhealthy, but hadn't considered the possibility of avian flu. However, if it were true, it could be transmitted to humans!

Lena's goal was clear. She went to Patrick's cell, which was empty. Lena went to the washroom, where she saw bloodstains on the floor and Patrick lying on the ground.

After confirming that the man was dead, Lina stabbed him in the head with a knife, then picked up Patrick and walked out.

The washrooms are also unusable; they need to be disinfected.
