The world is a piece of dog shit, but luckily you are by my side.
I woke up and went from being Chinese in China to being Chinese in America.
Oh well, being Chinese is fine.

Chapter 92
Undoubtedly, Herschel and Rick were chatting again that night. Seeing the way Rick looked at her, Lina quickly grabbed Daryl and ran upstairs.
She doesn't want to hear any nagging!
“Lina! You know this won’t work,” Rick yelled from downstairs.
"I didn't do anything! I was just protecting my legal rights." Lina gripped the railing and looked down.
“Daryl?” Rick looked at him.
Daryl shrugged. “I’m not in there, but…” Daryl fell silent under Lina’s death stare.
“You should have told me I would have spoken to Deanna, unless you were also prepared to kick me out?” Rick joked, deciding to stay for the time being.
“Always ready,” Lina said.
"Wow—" everyone exclaimed in a teasing tone.
“Then I’d better prepare my speech,” Rick laughed.
“I’ve always believed in the power of fists,” Lina joked, echoing Rick’s words. “My top henchman, Mole Dixon, knows this better than anyone.”
"Hey! Are you asking for a beating?" Moore shouted angrily from downstairs. "I've saved you so many times, now it's my turn to be your boss."
“What are you talking about? That’s your number one henchman’s dedication to the boss,” Lina shouted. “Once a boss, always a boss!”
"I never admitted that!"
Moore and Lina started arguing, Daryl took a deep breath, Rick gave him a sympathetic look, and went back to his bed in a good mood. How lively! There were still shows tonight.

Given that Lena and Daryl were still unemployed and could only wander around the neighborhood during the day, Daryl didn't really like it here, especially the people in the neighborhood. The way they looked at them was very strange, with a hint of disgust when they looked at Daryl, but more affection when they looked at Lena.
Lina didn't care about these people, but she did care about the way they looked at Daryl, which drove her crazy.
Lena felt offended that Deanna, with whom she had "made an agreement," actually arranged for Glenn and the others to go out with her foolish son.
So when Aiden and Glenn were arguing at the gate, Lina punched them, becoming the second person to receive the same treatment as Moore.
Daryl stopped Nicholas and looked at Lina with some concern.
"Lina..." Diana said, a headache forming in her head, "Calm down."
“You promised me,” Lina kicked away the vomiting Aiden and glared angrily at Deanna.
"Are you going to let these useless people kill my people?" Lina mocked mercilessly. Nicholas glared at her angrily, "Watch your attitude."
“If you feel offended by the truth, you should first go to the grave of your dead teammates and atone with your death. Oh God, I forgot, they don’t even have bodies,” Lina said.
"What do you mean?" Nicholas panicked for a moment. "They're all doing this for the community, and so are we. Are you saying we shouldn't be alive? That we all have to be dead?"
“At least you should have some self-awareness,” Lina snapped.
“Lina, Lina…” Glenn tugged at Lina’s arm. “We’re all fine, as for them…” He sighed helplessly. Compared to those two, the newbies weren’t so worrying.
"You're sending your son out there to die, and by the way, you're letting him kill his teammates," Lina said bluntly.
“Lina!” Rickla pulled her back. “We just got here.”
"Alright, just look at them and you'll know what kind of idiots they are. Do you even need to think about it? People with brains are definitely not like them. One or two of them are almost scared out of their wits!" Lina said angrily.
"Okay, okay," Rick said, as if he were holding Lina around the waist, and dragged her back.
Deanna sighed and pulled Aiden up. "Are you alright?"
Aiden nodded; he had already vomited everything up. "Spencer definitely has something wrong with his head."
Deanna raised an eyebrow. "That's his business. Now, we need to go back and have a serious talk about what you two were doing just now."
Aiden looked at Deanna with displeasure. "Are you really going to believe all that bullshit she said... I'm sorry, but whatever she thinks, it's not true," Aiden emphasized.
“Aiden, you are my son,” Deanna said. “It was just a conversation, nothing special.”
Deanna looked at Glenn and the others. "We'll talk about this later, but everyone listen up," Deanna said loudly, "Rick and his men are now members of our community and are treated equally. Understand?"
Deanna looked at Aiden, who gave a cold laugh. "Understood."
Lina was dragged home by Rick and angrily retreated to her room. They had no idea how these incompetent teammates would sabotage them in various ways, and she was worried sick. Rick was completely clueless.
“Sorry, but we’re on their turf now,” Rick said, knocking on the closed door with a sigh.
“This is my home! My territory!” Lina shouted angrily.
“…You know that’s not what I’m talking about. It’s not just that,” Rick said.
“But those idiots are just plain stupid!” Lina shouted.
“Lina, we need time, and so do they,” Rick said. “I’ll keep everyone careful.”
“I don’t want to talk to you until dinner!” Lina said.
Rick shook his head helplessly and went downstairs, where he ran into Daryl, who was coming upstairs. Daryl gestured for him to look downstairs.
Deanna, she brought with her the job she arranged for Rick, the sheriff, and Michonne.
Daryl observed from the stairwell. He wasn't surprised that Rick would accept, but he still went upstairs somewhat angrily.
Rick glanced back. Well, now there were two people who didn't want to talk to him until dinner.
Daryl couldn't quite describe his feelings; he was just uneasy. The people here were terrifyingly naive, and he could already foresee a whole host of troubles. But he knew that everyone longed for peace and stability.
Daryl pushed open the door and walked to the bedside. Lina had wrapped herself in the blankets and curled up into a small mound on the bed.
"You're back?" Lina said, opening the door a crack in the door.
Daryl sat on the edge of the bed and pulled back Lina's blanket. Her face was flushed, or rather, it was flushed from anger.
“You’re very irritable with the people here,” Daryl said.
“Yes, it’s stupid,” Lina said, “and it’s a huge hassle, a huge hassle!” She couldn’t see any benefit in supporting this community except for having a bunch of people dragging her down.
“You always say that people are a resource,” Daryl joked.
“…If they’ll become a burden to everyone, then it’s better if they don’t have any,” Lina said dejectedly. With too many people, resources are being consumed too quickly, and Alexander will soon face a food crisis, which is why Daryl and Rick provoked the Saviors.
“Herschel and Rick might correct you,” Daryl said.
“But you won’t, right?” Lina snuggled into Daryl’s arms affectionately.
“…Rick and Michonne became police officers,” Daryl said.
"Tsk, then I'll only talk to him tomorrow," Lina mumbled, nestled in Daryl's arms.
Daryl smiled, picked up Lina, and lay down on the bed. He grabbed Lina's hair and shook it. He was also troubled; getting used to this place wasn't so easy for him.
After dinner, Lina was still fuming and ignored everyone. She ran upstairs, and Daryl didn't follow her. Instead, he stood outside the house, lost in thought. It was much quieter outside.
Now everyone should have accepted the choice to stay.
When Daryl saw Rick walking downstairs in his police uniform, he became even more certain that everyone else was too.
“We won’t get weaker. We’re not weak in the bones anymore. We can do it, and if they can’t… we’ll take over here.” Rick looked calmly at Daryl and Carol.
This made Daryl feel much better. He looked at Carol, and the three of them exchanged calm glances.
Lina had no idea what the three people outside were up to; she was already sound asleep.
It seems everyone has gotten used to life here and has their own things to do. When I woke up today, I didn't know what to do with my dad. Lina went downstairs and saw that the bedding in the living room was almost all packed up. I guess everyone is preparing to move out.
There are many vacant houses in the community, so everyone can have a comfortable place to live.
After finishing breakfast, Lina slung her knife over her shoulder and prepared to go out to look for Daryl. But as soon as she opened the door, she saw a man sitting in the doorway.
"What's up?" Lina asked, closing the door behind her and looking at him with a puzzled expression.
“I…” Spencer looked at Lina with some disappointment, “Is it true?”
"What do you mean, real or fake? Who are you? What do you want?" Lina looked him over, completely bewildered.
"That old man must have lied to you, right? You two don't have any other relationship, right?" Spencer asked excitedly, grabbing Lina's arm.
"Let go of my hand," Lina said, breaking free from Spencer. "This is none of your business, you're sick in the head." Lina walked out looking annoyed.
“You said you’d consider me when you grew up,” Spencer kept repeating, chasing after Lina. “I visited you many times after your accident, but then your great-uncle wouldn’t let me go anymore…”
Lina then realized who the person in front of her was. She stopped and looked at Spencer. "Spencer, right?"
“Yes,” Spencer’s eyes lit up.
“If you keep chasing me and say even one thing that I find annoying,” Lina shook her fist, “you know my fists don’t hold back.”
“If your parents were alive, they would definitely…” Uh… Spencer clutched his stomach and bent over. Luckily, he pulled back a bit, releasing some of the force, thanks to muscle memory.
Lina raised an eyebrow. "It's none of your business to criticize me, much less to use their names. You're just lucky to be hiding here, under your mother's wing. Be happy about it. Even before, I would never have had the slightest interest in you."
“…You always say that,” Spencer said angrily to Lina. “I don’t know what it is about me that you dislike. You can always find a lot of faults in me, but they all like me…”
"Then why don't you go find them? Everyone'll be happy. Stop hanging around in front of me." Lina gave Spencer a disdainful look and turned to leave.
“I went to DC to look for you, but you weren’t there after the cataclysm…” Spencer called out unwillingly as he looked at Lina’s back. “You said I was arrogant, that I became friends with the top students in the class, that I was simple-minded, that I became the student council president… I’ve been trying to change, I… But why? Just because you forgot about me? That’s not fair.”
“…Then you’re wrong,” Lina said helplessly to Spencer. “Nothing you do should be, and could not be, for me. I’m not taking the blame for this. That’s ridiculous.”
"And also, since you know I have amnesia, you should know how rude you are to a stranger. You don't seem to have changed your arrogance at all; in fact, you've become even more arrogant, just like your brother." Lina walked up to Spencer. "Your mother, she was a good person. You are not even one ten-thousandth as good as her."
“I don’t know what kind of blind illusion you have about me,” Lina rolled her eyes. “You can’t possibly take a child’s words seriously, can you?”
"In the end, you're not even my type." She didn't believe she would say something like "I'll consider him when I grow up," unless she was trying to use him for something and was just fooling a fool.
