Ying Liuer nodded. As soon as she finished speaking, Da Qing grinned from ear to ear with excitement, wrapped his arms around Ying Liuer's waist, picked her up, and spun her around several times.

"Liu'er isn't angry with me anymore! Liu'er isn't angry with me anymore!"

"Put me down, you idiot..."

The two voices intertwined, and Su Tang, who was outside, couldn't hide her smile when she heard them.

It seems she's been worrying too much. Daqing doesn't need anyone to teach him anything; time is the best teacher, and those who care will see his sincerity.

Seeing that Daqing and Yingliuer had reconciled and that they no longer had time to bother Sutang, Hushen was quite satisfied.

They forced him to hang in the snow for ten days.

On the tenth day, the bearded man put Hu Wei's chin back on. Hu Wei, who had suffered so much, had no other thoughts but to be free as soon as possible. Without hesitation, he handed over all his belongings.

"Please let me go. You won't get any coal by hanging me here. I promise I'll pay you back later. Please let me down..."

These days he's been living a life worse than death.

The baby monkeys come to "take care" of him every day, and the veterinarian comes to treat him at night. He just can't die even if he wants to.

But the bearded man kept coming to ask him every day whether he was going to return the coal.

He wants to speak! His mouth is frozen, at least give him a chance to speak!

The bearded man nodded in agreement. “You’re right. If you die, who will give me back my coal?”

The orc stepped forward and put Fox Wei down.

As Hu Wei pondered this in his heart, he heard the bearded man continue, "Since you are willing to return the coal, I will give you a chance."

Before the rope was even loosened, two orcs stepped forward, lifted Hu Wei up, and carried him down the mountain.

Fox Wei was completely bewildered, struggling to turn around and look at the bearded man. "Wait! What are you doing? Weren't you going to let me go? Where are you taking me...?"

His response was a frozen sheep dropping stuffed into his mouth.

And so, Hu Wei was sent to the Black Mountain tribe overnight.

Outside the mine of the Black Mountain tribe.

A hoe and a basket were thrown in front of Hu Wei.

"What is this thing? What are you going to do?" Fox Wei looked at the handsome beastman in front of him with fear.

"Old Hu said that you owe him coal from ten caves. He will let you leave when you have dug out coal from ten caves."

Lu Feng's smile didn't reach his eyes. He raised his hand, and several tall orcs pushed Hu Wei into the mine.

"Mining coal?! No, I won't mine coal! Let me go! I want to leave this place! What right do you have to do this...?"

Fox Wei immediately struggled to run away.

The coal from ten caves would take countless days to burn.

He could dig for his entire life and still not find this much coal!

However, he hadn't run two steps before he was dragged back by a muscular orc.

Lu Feng instructed, "Keep a close eye on him. Don't give him food if he doesn't dig. The Black Mountain Tribe's food and shelter aren't given away for free. If he doesn't dig, let him sleep on the snow."

Fox Wei's thin frame was no match for these orcs who had developed muscles from mining coal every day. In front of the orcs of the Black Mountain tribe, he was like an ant before a giant.

Originally, he wanted to protest, but after a day of hunger and a night of sleeping in the snow, Fox Wei seemed to have resigned himself to his fate and finally started mining coal with the other orcs.

However, he was far less strong than the other orcs; while they could dig ten pieces of coal, he could only dig one.

The coal we mined wasn't enough to buy food to fill our stomachs.

Fox Wei had a sudden inspiration and decided to resort to his old tricks to deceive the females here.

What he didn't expect was that the females of the Black Mountain tribe were originally females that Lu Feng had brought from the Ten Thousand Beasts Mountain to escape from disaster, and they valued food more than their own lives.

Despite his best efforts, Hu Wei didn't get a single hair out of the conversation.

In the dark and gloomy mine, Hu Wei's clothes were tattered and his face was covered in black grime. He was a far cry from his former clean-cut and dashing appearance.

With a hunched back carrying a basket and a hoe in his hand, he numbly struck large chunks of coal again and again.

With great difficulty, he managed to dig out half a basket of coal, despite his broken body.

When it was time to eat, Hu Wei limped around and went to exchange coal for food.

The orc behind him deliberately bumped into him, causing Fox Wei to fall to the ground, and half a basket of coal rolled away.

Before Hu Wei could even get up, the surrounding orcs swarmed forward and picked up the coal, putting it into their baskets.

"My coal! This is my coal, don't steal it..."

He shouted, but not a single orc paid him any attention.

After the orcs left, his arms were empty.

Lu Feng was naturally aware of what was happening in the mine, and when his subordinates came to report, he simply gave a cold laugh.

"Don't worry about him, as long as he doesn't die."

"Do you think it's so easy for him to live on this continent? He's just lucky to have been born in the Mountain of Ten Thousand Beasts."

His subordinate was puzzled. "But... he can't dig out much coal like this."
