Chapter 28 Unsolicited kindness is either a trick or a theft.

Huang Dehan had a falling out with San'er, and when he returned home and saw Li Man, a surge of anger rose in his heart again.

Strangely enough, he drugged Riemann, but Riemann was completely unharmed. He suspected that he had bought fake medicine, and because of this, he even gave the person who sold the medicine a good scolding.

The man selling the medicine cried out that he was innocent, saying that his medicine was genuine, but Huang Dehan didn't believe him at all.

If the medicine was real, why did Riemann not have any reaction after drinking it?

Riemann didn't know whether the medicine was genuine or not, because he never drank it.

Ever since Riemann listened to the recording, he has been wary of Huang Dehan.

The night before last, Li Man was sitting on the sofa watching TV when Huang Dehan suddenly brought her a glass of milk and said softly, "Wife, I heated up a glass of milk for you. Drink it while it's hot."

Riemann knew there was something wrong with the milk, but she didn't expose it. Instead, she pretended to be very touched and said, "Thank you, honey. I thought you didn't love me anymore, but I didn't expect you to still care about me so much."

Huang Dehan laughed awkwardly, scratching his head, and said, "What are you saying? You're my wife, isn't it only natural for me to care about you?"

"Yes, honey, you're right. We should make it work. I promise I'll never argue with you again," Li Man said with deep affection.

Huang Dehan rolled his eyes inwardly, thinking to himself, "What a pain in the ass, so much nonsense even when drinking milk." But on the surface, he smiled broadly and said, "Yes, we should all get along well from now on. Drink up."

"Okay." Li Man brought the cup to her lips, about to drink, but then suddenly put it down and said, "Honey, there are grapes in the fridge, could you get them for me? Thank you."

Seeing that Riemann was about to drink it, but then suddenly put down the cup, Huang Dehan was almost frantic. Although he didn't want to get the grapes, he couldn't very well refuse, fearing that if he said he wouldn't go, Riemann would stop drinking. So, though unwilling, he went anyway.

"Okay, I'll get it for you. Drink the milk while it's hot."

While Huang Dehan turned to get the grapes, Li Man quickly poured milk into the gaps of the sofa cushions. Her sofa was a fabric sofa, which was very absorbent; she could just take it apart and wash it later. After quickly pouring it all out, she held the empty cup to her lips, took a small sip, and let some of the milk remain on her lips.

When Huang Dehan returned with the grapes, he saw Riemann put down her cup, with some milk stains still on the corner of her mouth.

Seeing the empty cup, Huang Dehan was very happy. "You finished drinking?"

"Yes, I've finished drinking. Thank you, honey."

Huang Dehan had no doubts. He sat down next to Riemann and started chatting with her casually.

Riemann ate grapes while chatting with Huang Dehan.

An hour passed, and Riemann appeared perfectly normal, watching TV and eating grapes without any apparent problem.

Another hour passed, and Riemann had finished all the grapes, but she didn't seem to be acting strangely.

Now, Huang Dehan couldn't sit still any longer and tentatively asked, "Wife, do you feel very hot? Why do I suddenly feel so hot?"

"Is it hot? No, I don't feel hot at all. The air conditioning is on, how could it be hot? If you feel hot, go take a shower, and you won't feel hot after you shower."

Huang Dehan could only go take a shower in a sullen mood.

In fact, Huang Dehan had been secretly putting drugs in Riemann's kettle these past two days.

But he discovered that Riemann seemed to be alright.
