The 'cozy' daily work life of a witch lady in a cyberpunk interstellar era, occasionally also a passionate epic.
She is a timid girl growing up in a cyberpunk city.
She is a cry...
I want to tell you something, and the update arrangement for February.
Happy New Year~
This is Qingkong, thank you for sticking here (laughs).
I have to say that this book is indeed not as good as expected, because the concept or grand plan to be constructed is too broad, so that the huge framework has broken the narrative context that the novel should have. In order to explain the social background of the interstellar era, the history of the two eras, the origin and role of the singing girl, and the various ideas that have continued from the twilight era to the present, many contents have made concessions, which makes the reading experience not very good. Although there are some smooth small plots in the middle, in general, the connection between the various parts is not integrated and tight enough.
Being half a step ahead of the times will bring a great sense of freshness, but writing a story that is several steps ahead of the times will fall into the trap of being too superficial due to the lack of realistic fulcrum. If all kinds of unfamiliar nouns are piled up without a reasonable logical framework to support them, it is just an old story on another stage.
It is difficult to create science fiction stories, and this difficulty will become more and more difficult as the audience has seen and experienced more things.
Unlike romantic urban stories with emotional disputes as the theme, and also different from fantasy stories that tend to be adventurous and powerful, science fiction stories are more about curiosity about the future world and yearning for a brand new world beyond the earth's environment. This imagination of the unknown universe is the biggest motivation for people to read science fiction stories.
It has been nearly 70 years since Asimov pioneered the sowing of the seeds of science fiction stories such as the "Three Laws of Robotics". I admire the people during World War II for having such advanced concepts and ideas, and then generations of science fiction masters have added bricks and tiles to this foundation.
However, the development of science and technology in our real life is not as fast as expected. It is still difficult for humans to leave the earth, let alone colonize Mars and explore the world outside the solar system. There are hundreds of billions of star systems in the Milky Way, and its vastness may not be fully explored until the end of human civilization.
We sit by a small pond in the forest and imagine the beauty of the sea. This is quite romantic. However, when this fantasy lasts too long and cannot be verified, it will bring some fatigue and doubt. Is the sea we imagine really like this? Does it really exist? How many of our decades of fantasy barely match the real world?
The farther away from the foundation of reality, the more unreal the fantasy story is. Even if it is described with the best words, the impact it brings is always like a floating curtain, without much power.
After starting this book impulsively, I experienced many difficulties. The enthusiasm at the beginning suffered a series of setbacks. There were several mental breakdowns and the plot rhythm was chaotic. Sometimes I dared not look back at some plots. I was very ashamed because I could not produce a satisfactory work under the expectations of many readers.
However, no matter how depressed I am, I can't change what has happened. I can only go on step by step with the existing situation, constantly digging the dry oil pot, finding a little oil stain to continue the flame, and the inspiration is drying up.
In the next month, Qingkong will probably take a break to replenish his energy and try to give this book a good ending. In other words, the serialization in February may be once every 3-5 days, instead of every day like normal updates.
After a month of dormancy, the normal serialization will resume in March, and then the story will slowly come to an end.
As for the next book and the subsequent stories, I think I will not touch the science fiction category for a long time, and I will try to write a lighter plot to make everyone and myself happy and healed.
