In the depths of winter, the city grows increasingly cold and desolate. A cold front sweeps across parts of China, and Penang's first snowfall arrives with a flurry of snowflakes.

Outside the window, willow catkins fluttered in the air, creating a vast expanse of white. Yin Huan sat on a swaying chair, her bright eyes somewhat unfocused, lost in thought.
