Silver Ring is a famously lazy snake who wants to get into a zoo to live an easy life and retire.
In order to enjoy a life of leisure in the future, she employs all sorts of skills to battle ...
After Black Bear finished speaking, the beast enclosure fell silent for a moment. All the demons turned their heads to look at Silver Ring, who had appeared in the cage. They remained silent, watching as Black Bear lured Silver Ring away.
Black fur covered Hei Xiong's entire face, making it impossible to discern any expression, but his eyes, which shone with a golden luster, flashed with an undeniable excitement and calculation.
He was laughing, and his laughter was malicious.
The big snake said that the little snake had come in by digging a hole.
Ha! Do you really think they don't have brains? This is a demon prison. If you could easily come and go by digging a hole, then all the demon hunters might as well commit suicide.
The giant snake must be deceiving them. The only way to find out how to get in and out of the prison is to find out from this little snake.
Silver Ring wasn't blind; she had naturally seen the calculating look on Black Bear's face. She tilted her head, her large, snake-like eyes filled with contempt.
"—Hiss!" That bastard, trying to lure her into biting him.
Dream on, she wouldn't bite him.
Do you really think she's blind? Can't she tell his species—he's a carnivorous leopard!
Her older brother had told her that the prison was full of demons, and that she was just a piece of cake in their eyes.
This black leopard is definitely up to no good. Hmph, she's not stupid enough to offer herself up to him to eat.
“Little snake, come here. Your brother and I are neighbors, and we’re really close. Come on, come and get your little gift.” Seeing that Silver Ring didn’t move, Black Bear grinned at her. His expression was exactly like the Big Bad Wolf who had lured Little Red Riding Hood away.
Silver Ring hissed twice, opened its small mouth wide, extended its tongue, and licked its two exposed sharp little teeth, its threatening intent particularly strong.
"Liar, my brother said you're a bad demon," Silver Ring said crisply, looking up.
After saying that, she gave her a disdainful look. This leopard seemed to have some intellectual issues; did he really think she was stupid? Even a newly hatched silver-ringed snake could tell from such obvious coaxing.
Hmph, she's an old snake who's lived for three hundred years, how could she fall for his trick?
In just a short while, Luo Mang dragged his food into the cage. He raised his big head and glanced at the black male in the next cage, then chuckled maliciously, lowered his head, and began to eat as if nothing had happened.
Luo Mang had no intention of getting involved in the matter between Yin Huan and Hei Xiong.
He knew Yin Huan's personality better than anyone. Don't let her usual absent-mindedness fool you; she was incredibly vigilant. Otherwise, he wouldn't have dared to send Bai Mao up the mountain to inform Yin Huan in the first place.
Putting everything else aside, just look at how that white mouse came back from Fuding Mountain with a broken leg; that's enough to tell that my little sister isn't so easily fooled.
He always felt that, given Yin Huan's personality, anyone who encountered her would be considered formidable if they didn't cough up three liters of blood.
"I didn't lie to you. Look, I really have a gift for you."
After Blackie finished speaking, he flicked his tail twice, then went into his hut and came out with a piece of bloody, fresh meat.
Being inexplicably labeled a liar, Hei Xiong felt a little hurt. In all his years of life, he had never lied to anyone, not even this time.
"Look, this is the gift I prepared for you when we first met."
Last night, everyone unanimously voted to keep Silver Ring captive and then obtain a way to enter and leave the prison from her. But this is a prison, resources are scarce, and the only way they could think of was to take food from their own mouths to please Silver Ring.
Looking at the pieces of food at the leopard's feet, which were clearly cut up and perfect for him to swallow, a hint of doubt flashed in Silver Ring's eyes: Could it be that this guy really prepared a gift for him?
Silver Ring shuddered involuntarily, shaking off the strange thought in her mind: the weasel was offering New Year's greetings to the chicken, it had no good intentions.
She wouldn't fall for it.
Silver Ring flicked its tail twice, turned its head, and slowly swam to the center of the cage. It then lay down on the ground, ready to bask in the moonlight.
Her older brother said that basking in the moonlight would help her cultivate. She also wanted to become human as soon as possible so she could live in the human world with her older brother and not waste time arguing with that silly leopard next door.
Seeing that Yin Huan remained unmoved, Hei Xiong's golden eyes flashed, and he immediately came up with another plan.
He walked slowly and gracefully to He Bai's cage: "Big Tiger, bring me what you got a few days ago."
He Bai squinted his tiger-like eyes, secretly observing Yin Huan. Hearing Hei Xiong's words, he withdrew his gaze and then nimbly returned to his hut.
A short while later, He Bai came out of the hut. When he came out, he had a small, bluish-green thing in his tiger's mouth.
He Bai walked to the iron cage, put the thing in its mouth into the narrow gap in the middle of the iron bars, and with a wave of its paw, pushed the greenish thing into Black Xiong's iron cage.
Hei Xiong chuckled, a glint of shrewdness flashing in his eyes.
Don't snakes all like to eat frogs? I don't believe that little snake can resist the temptation of frogs.
Hei Xiong carried the frog in his mouth to the other side of the cage, then placed the frog on the ground about a foot away from the iron bars. He looked up and coaxed the silver ring in Luo Mang's cage, "Little snake, look!"
Silver Ring drooped his eyelids, his snake tongue flicking out, but he ignored him.
Hei Xiong's eyebrows twitched, a little annoyed. Why was this little guy not interested in anything?
As if he had thought of something, he stretched out his thick front legs and stomped twice on the back of the frog on the ground.
"Croak, croak—" The frog croaked twice as soon as I stepped on it.
However, it only made noises without moving its body. But when it made noises, its belly shrank slightly.
Upon closer inspection, it becomes clear that this frog is actually just a toy frog in a frog skin. It was thrown into the cage by a child who came to visit the predator enclosure last time, while Herba was dozing off.
