Chapter 6 Zhang Qiling was packed up and thrown out?

The journey back was safe and sound. They arrived at the camp after dark. As soon as they got off the car, Zhang Qiling was called away by Dingzhu Zhuoma's grandson Tashi.

Zhang Qiling looked at Ji Huaichuan who was sleeping soundly and felt uneasy. He gave him some special instructions before following him.

Not long after Zhang Qiling arrived, Wuxie was also called over. Seeing Zhang Qiling was there too, Wuxie was a little confused, wondering what the old lady wanted them to do.

After Wuxie sat down, Dingzhu Zhuoma said, "Chen Wenjing asked me to bring you a message. She will be waiting for you at the Queen Mother of the West Palace. You don't have much time left."

Zhang Qiling asked: "When did she tell you this?"

"I only delivered the message verbally. I don't know anything else." Dingzhu Zhuoma kept silent and tried to get around it.

Wu Xie still couldn't figure it out, so he asked again, "Old man, why did Chen Wenjing let me go?"

"She said that thing is among you, so you have to be careful."

After hearing Dingzhu Zhuoma's words, Wuxie could not hide his shock and turned to look at Zhang Qiling. Zhang Qiling glanced at him and then lowered his head. It was unknown what he was thinking, but neither of them saw the shadow of the little snake reflected on the tent.

Ji Huaichuan, who should have been asleep, heard every word of their conversation.

Ji Huaichuan's eyes darkened. Chen Wenjing had calculated everything, but she still missed this variable of his. However, he couldn't expose it now, otherwise it would be disadvantageous to him.

Wuxie and Zhang Qiling sat by the fire outside the camp. Wuxie still couldn't understand why Chen Wenjing wanted to give them a message separately.

Just as Wuxie was talking to himself, Zhang Qiling stood up and pretended to leave. He was not curious about this question.

Now he just wanted to go back and see how that spoiled kid was doing. It would be all over if Ji Huaichuan woke up and found that he was not there.

When Wuxie saw Zhang Qiling was about to leave, he quickly stood up and stopped Zhang Qiling.

"Hey, don't go yet! Let me ask you again, why did you enter the bronze door? When did you come out? Why didn't you contact me? Also, who is that person next to you?"

Seeing that Zhang Qiling still didn't speak, Wu Xie was helpless: "What can't you say?"

"This is my business, why should I tell you?" Zhang Qiling looked at Wuxie steadily and continued, "Don't ask if you shouldn't."

"Yes, this is indeed your business. You don't have to tell me."

Seeing that Wuxie might be a little angry, Zhang Qiling prepared to explain a few words to get the matter over with.

"You shouldn't have gotten involved. Your third uncle has already done a lot for you."

Hearing Zhang Qiling say this, Wu Xie sighed and said, "Actually, my request is very simple. I just want to know what's going on. But everyone is hiding it from me. Do you understand the pain of not knowing anything?"

Zhang Qiling looked at Wuxie, slowly approached him, and said, "I know better than you."

"I'm sorry, I know you also want to remember the past." Wuxie lowered his head guiltily. He really shouldn't say such things in front of Zhang Qiling.

"I am a person without past and future. If I disappear from this world, no one will notice." Zhang Qiling continued.

"If you disappear, at least I will find out!" Wuxie said quickly.

Zhang Qiling turned his head and glanced at Wuxie. Very good, the subject has been changed, and he can finally leave.

"You have to at least answer one question for me, right?" Seeing Zhang Qiling about to leave, Wu Xie still hadn't forgotten his original intention and continued to ask. "What did you see behind the bronze door?"

Zhang Qiling listened with his back to Wuxie, the corners of his mouth curled up unconsciously, and he said: "The ultimate, the ultimate of everything." It is also my ultimate.

"What is the ultimate?" Wuxie asked puzzledly.

Tsk, why didn’t I notice before that this kid has so many problems!

"I'm on your side."

After perfunctorily answering, Zhang Qiling turned around and left. It was about time and the delicate girl was about to wake up, so he had to go back quickly.

But Wu Xie didn't know what was wrong with him, and he excitedly shouted to him from behind: "Actually, your problem has long been my problem. If the place we are going to this time holds the answers to all these questions, then I must go with you!"

Listening to Wuxie's passionate speech, Zhang Qiling was a little moved, but it would have been better if he hadn't asked so many questions.

When Zhang Qiling returned to the tent, he saw Ji Huaichuan sitting quietly on the mat after waking up, with red eyes, as if he had been crying.

"I'm back." As he said that, Zhang Qiling picked up the clothes at the door and walked over to put them on Ji Huaichuan.

Ji Huaichuan snorted, straightened his clothes, and ignored Zhang Qiling.

"You fell asleep. I told you and you agreed." Zhang Qiling looked at Ji Huaichuan and felt a little guilty for some reason.

"What if I agreed? What if I didn't? All you do is accompany the Third Master to look for his uncle. All you do is get rid of me when something happens. Have you ever thought about how scared I would be if I couldn't find you because I'm blind? Or how painful it would be if I bumped into something?"

As he spoke, Ji Huaichuan sobbed softly with red eyes, still tightly holding the dried plums that Zhang Qiling had put in his hand before he left.

"Don't cry..." Zhang Qiling hated to see Ji Huaichuan cry. Not only was he difficult to comfort, but he would also bring up old grudges.

"What? I just said a few words to you and you're impatient? It's only been a short time since we came out of the bronze door, and you're already talking nonsense."

Ji Huaichuan looked up at Zhang Qiling, tears welling up in his eyes but refusing to fall, looking so pitiful.

"No." Zhang Qiling lowered his head. Okay, there was no way to refute it.
