Transformers: Devour Your Spark

TFP world setting.

Under the apocalypse, resources are depleted. The “former” savage met the scientist. Shockwave began his chaotic life, but it doesn’t matter; no one can stop his scie...

Give up resistance

Give up resistance

Megatron still possesses residual dark super-energy within him. While the concentration isn't enough for Unicron to control him, it allows Unicron to track his location. Unicron will constantly synchronize his location with mine, so no matter where he escapes to, I will know.

The Decepticons' spaceship, the Nemesis, never lands except under special circumstances, and Shockwave's transformation mode—the Heavy Tank—lacks flight propulsion. I've long since resolved not to let him out of my sight to secretly plot against me. I have to take him with me.

Upon arriving at the spaceship's flight deck, I quickly transformed into an airplane, the engines humming softly as I hovered above the deck, my fuselage almost level with Shockwave's waist.

“Jump up,” I said to Shockwave through the external speaker, “I’ll take you flying.”

He shook his head and said, "Your structure, load-bearing capacity, and fixing method do not conform to engineering logic."

We're about the same height. I'm a bit thinner than Shockwave, but I have the wings on my back to add volume. Overall, we're about the same size. Why can't I carry him?

Impatient, I lowered my altitude, crouched between his legs, and tried to knock him down so I could carry him away. What if I lost my balance and fell? No problem, my powers would hold him fastened to me.

As I nudged him, he backed away, the antennae on either side of his head sculpt swaying incessantly, and he kept saying, "Your behavior is illogical."

"Then what makes sense?" I couldn't help but complain. With that, I lowered the altitude again, almost touching the deck. "Either you come up yourself, or I'll force you to come up."

Shockwave seemed to have completely understood his situation, gave up all resistance, accepted the fact that I had to take him with me no matter what I did, and began to seriously consider how to act.

He asked, "Why don't you use your powers to carry me?"

"Good question, I don't know either. Just do as you say." I stopped nagging him and turned to fly away into the distance.

However, in the end, I managed to get him securely mounted on my fuselage. The reason was simple:

It was exhausting to carry him all the way using my superpowers!

...

Megatron is located on the equator.

The volcano was gathering its fury; its body was expanding, the ground was cracking, revealing veins of molten lava. The air was thick with the pungent smell of sulfur dioxide, assaulting my sense of smell.

This volcano is about to erupt.

Not far away, the silver Cybertronians gleamed eerily against the backdrop of a gray-black lava plateau, like a mirror fallen into the dust. They were truly conspicuous.

As it flew closer, I shouted, "Megatron, surrender now!"

I lowered the heavy tank from my fuselage, and the shockwave landed with a heavy thud. Then I transformed back into human form, just in time to catch a fat, cylindrical canister that Megatron had thrown at me.

A gas, even more foul-smelling, acidic, and corrosive than the surrounding environment, carrying a disgusting and ominous green hue, tightly clung to my faceplate.

Hmph!

I know what this is; I've seen it in the information. The green crystals in the jar are toxic energy. Megatron could use it to make poison, but it's useless against me. Besides, the Dark Energy is far more potent!

I immediately threw the jar far away, using my powers to support it, keeping it far away from me and Shockwave.

Looking at Megatron again, he slightly raised his rounded breastplate, his two menacing shoulder plates drooping relaxed at his sides, his expression calm, yet I felt he was laughing at me. He threw the poison energy at me, intending to poison me when I wasn't looking!

That despicable, poisonous husband!

He raised his hands and, before I could even move, said, "I surrender."

Oh ho ho! So they've finally realized the gap in our strength and given up resisting?

Everything was going very smoothly, and I was very satisfied, but then the unexpected happened.

The familiar fluorescent blue halo lit up once again at Megatron's feet, and then he too vanished into the ground. My powers couldn't sense his presence. I reached out to grab him, but my hand passed through the machine like a blur. Once again, the familiar scene unfolded.

Unicron told me that Megatron is still near my location; he hasn't left. So where did he go?

Frustrated, I stomped on the lava beneath my feet.

Shockwave spoke up from the side: "This is a phenomenon caused by the phase shifter. Can you sense Megatron's location now?"

I suspect they couldn't do that with my powers. They used phase shifters to deflect their own space, like escaping to another layer. It suddenly dawned on me that this meant they had found a way to circumvent my powers. My power is not omnipotent.

In order for the mission to proceed smoothly and to avoid being defeated, I must be even more careful.

What does "shockwave" mean? The red optical lens that dominates the entire head sculpt reveals not a trace of his emotion, nor do his back wings or antennae sway in the slightest, as if this were a very ordinary and commonplace question.

I lied and said, "Of course I can!"

He heard my answer, and the optical mirror remained pointed at me, but I felt as if his gaze wasn't on me.

In that very instant!

Behind me, I saw the magnetic field fluctuations characteristic of the Fire Seed. It was Megatron. His sharp sleeve blade swung straight at my brain module; he wanted to slice my head off.

To reach me, to harm me, Megatron needs to disengage the phase shift. He'll return to the same space as me, inevitably revealing his location. And he's gambling on whether he can cut off my head faster, or whether my reaction will be quicker!

In the end, my reaction was faster. The instant he appeared, my power, like an invisible giant hand, gripped the space around him, rendering his body immobile. The deadly blade stopped abruptly just a finger's width from my neck.

Behind him, Megatron's hoarse, deep voice rang out next to the audio receiver: "You just lied. You can't find my location."

"So what!" I replied.

That guy deserves a beating!

A deafening roar echoed through the sky, and pillars of smoke and dust rose from the volcano. It had erupted, and fiery red lava continuously spewed from the crater under the intense heat. Megatron's actions reignited my rage.

Blue energy fluid flowed, staining a small patch of lava rock beneath my feet, mingling with his scattered body and energy pipes. He was still alive—possessing the blood of Unicron, he wouldn't die so easily, which also meant that no matter how I tortured him and vented my anger, he could endure it.

The lava flow is incredibly fast; it could bury us all in just a few minutes. We have to get out of here quickly.

I instructed Shockwave to grab Megatron's machine parts, discard the toxic energy body, and transform into aircraft form. Carrying the weight of two fighter jets, I carried them back to the Nemesis.

Megatron didn't have a phase shifter on him, so who helped him? I quickly thought of the Decepticons' enemies—the Autobots. But where did they get a phase shifter? What exactly is going on? Shockwave doesn't seem strange at all; is he hiding something from me?

Thinking of this, I angrily flew up into the troposphere, the fuselage shaking irregularly. Feeling the metallic friction and the rattling of parts on my body due to the sudden turbulence, I felt relieved.
