Chapter 11 - Lunch

"Yes, his values are quite correct." Qin Bulu felt that his understanding of Shi Feiye was somewhat biased.

Shi Leng was very surprised: "Brother Qin, you have found a treasure. Look at what she said. The money you spent on her before was not wasted. She remembers your kindness. Miss Shi has excellent character."

"Well..." Qin Buzhu opened the car door, "I won't be going out this afternoon. Please handle the paperwork with the real estate department."

"Okay..." After Qin Buzhu got out of the car, Shi Leng drove away.

Qin Buzhu originally wanted to go straight back, but after a moment's thought, he decided to go to the supermarket instead. When he returned, he opened the door to see Shi Feiye hunched over on the carpet in front of the sofa in the living room, typing away on her computer. The room was filled with the aroma of meat.

"You're back..." Upon hearing the door open, Shi Feiye looked up at him, her hands still typing away, very swiftly.

Qin Buzhu placed the fruit he had bought next to the coffee table and curiously walked over to see what was happening. He discovered that Shi Feiye was facing a Wrd document. After a quick glance, he realized that she was actually writing a story.

"I think I've almost forgotten everything about my major, but I do remember some of the other things I learned. Plus, I've been reading novels, so I'm pretty familiar with this area. I'm thinking of trying to write online articles. Do you mind?" Shi Feiye asked, his hands moving constantly, clearly just asking politely.

Qin Bulu felt that this was in line with her situation, and since he didn't expect her to make money, he remained noncommittal: "As long as you're happy."

Shi Feiye knew that this big guy would definitely look down on these things and might not understand them very well, so she had to change the subject:

"The ribs are already stewing. It will probably take another hour before we can eat. Go get busy."

Qin Buzhu nodded, washed up, changed his clothes, and went into his room, never to come out again.

An hour later, Shi Feiye knocked on the door and called him out for dinner. Two bowls of rice were placed on the table, along with a rich variety of dishes, all beautifully colored in red and green. Shi Feiye had even added some garnishes, and it was clear they had been carefully prepared.

"This is my first time making sweet and sour pork ribs, so I'm not sure if it's good. You can try it. If not, I'll go downstairs and make some cucumber sauce." Shi Feiye sat down opposite Qin Buzhu and said, picking up her own bowl.

Ever since her parents had an accident in college, she has been living on her own. Influenced by her parents, her standards for quality of life are neither too high nor too low. She cleans the house on time and cooks for herself whenever she has time. She has a very regular life, so her life skills are not a problem.

I'm just being polite when I say this now. I wouldn't say her cooking skills are that great, but she's pretty good at home cooking. She used to cook at friends' gatherings and she'd received a lot of praise.

Qin Buzhu picked up a piece and put it into his mouth, nodding: "Not bad, very delicious."

"That's good. Eat more then. Life has been a mess these past few days. You haven't eaten or rested well. You've worked hard." Shi Feiye poured a cup of lemon tea she had brewed that morning and pushed it in front of him. "This is lemon tea with a little bit of honey added to it to supplement Vitamin C. Drink as much as you can. Don't mind the sourness."

Qin Buzhu lowered his inquiring gaze, feeling that the woman before him had become a completely different person. It completely contradicted the information he had previously found out, nor the two years they had spent together. However, he hadn't paid close attention to her, and he couldn't claim that the information he had previously found out was completely accurate. He could only suppress his doubts.
