Chapter 2 - Organizing Things

Thinking of the description of the villain boss in the book, Shi Feiye felt that she couldn't abandon him at this moment. In the past, he had been cannon fodder, and now that she had replaced him, she should fulfill her obligations. She could earn money to support him, and if she wanted to leave, she had to wait until he had his own income or career.

After a while of gathering her memories and thoughts, Shi Feiye got up and began packing. Cannon Fodder was a complete idiot at housework. After finding out the other day that the boss had gone bankrupt and would never get any more money, he'd done nothing but cry and get drunk. All the stuff he'd brought with him was piled up in the boss's newly rented two-bedroom apartment.

Fortunately, the boss was good-tempered and didn't argue with her, otherwise, with this messy house with nowhere to stay, anyone would be devastated.

Organizing such a pile of things was a massive undertaking. Shi Feiye spent a full three hours before cramming everything into a corner of her room. That corner was now piled to the ceiling, with over a hundred bags and over eighty sets of clothing.

Looking at the luxury items she had piled up, Shi Feiye really wished she could replace her clothes with bags. After all, bags were easy to sell, but clothes were hard to sell.

She woke up at two in the afternoon, and now it was past five. Touching her rumbling stomach, Shi Feiye looked through the bag on the coffee table by the door and found her ID card, bank card, and a few hundred yuan.

She hadn't even entered the kitchen. Boss and Cannon Fodder had just moved in a few days ago, and neither of them knew how to cook, so there was definitely nothing in the kitchen. She had to find food on her own.

Actually, she could order takeout, but Shi Feiye thought about it and decided not to. She had only tidied the house briefly and would have to clean it again when she returned. The tables and chairs might not be clean right now, and she didn't want to end up with a mess.

Although the house Big Boss rented was small, the neighborhood was nice, with good security and a good location. There were a bunch of restaurants downstairs. Shi Feiye ate a bowl of noodles, then thought about the few supplies she had seen in the bathroom. She went to the nearby supermarket for a stroll and returned with a bag of daily necessities. She also bought Big Boss's share, choosing the colors and styles based on his preferences as she remembered them.

Returning to the house, she began cleaning again. Opening the door and entering the boss's room, she discovered that aside from a few more things on the bookshelf and desk, there was only a bed and a few essential items. Shi Feiye sighed helplessly, wondering how this man, who had been raised in luxury, could endure such a life.

There wasn't much to tidy up in this room, so she looked around, wiped the table, put away the documents and other things, closed the door, and went back to the living room to continue tidying up other places.

By the time she had finally finished packing, it was already ten o'clock in the evening.

Shi Feiye finished washing up peacefully, placed the midnight snack on the coffee table in the living room, and planned to have a good rest and enjoy the delicious food she brought back.

Just as she opened the package and was about to take her first bite of food, the door opposite her rang. Shi Feiye looked up and met a pair of eyes like black glass.
