After struggling in the apocalypse for ten years, Jiang Bai transmigrated into a farming novel as the scumbag villainess. At the start, she abused the villain's child, not only ran off with all...

Chapter 1 Rebirth

"Beat them! Beat both of these beasts to death!"

"No, please, please let my brother go..."

"Get out of here, you brat."

A sharp sound pierced Jiang Bai's head like a wedge, forcibly pulling her out of her chaotic thoughts. As soon as she opened her eyes, before she could even see her surroundings, she saw a group of people surrounding her, brutally beating the person on the ground.

Jiang Bai stared intently and realized that the one who had been beaten was only a seven or eight-year-old boy, dressed in rags, thin and frail, barely breathing.

Beneath his frail body, he sheltered a little girl of about two or three years old, who was crying hysterically.

Jiang Bai's face turned cold. Years of living in the apocalypse had made her swift and agile. She grabbed a wooden stick and flipped over the person closest to her.

"Bullying two children, aren't you ashamed?"

The first person she hit was a middle-aged woman with triangular eyes, high cheekbones, and wrinkles that seemed to be etched between her brows, making her look unapproachable.

She first lay on the ground groaning, but upon hearing this, she immediately jumped up, put her hands on her hips, and spat angrily, "You heartless, despicable bastard! You ordered these two little bastards to steal from our house, and you dare to turn around and say we're bullying us?"

"If we're talking about bullying, no one is as heartless as you. Your husband isn't even dead yet, and you're already tormenting the child like this. Aren't you afraid of being struck by lightning?"

The middle-aged woman got more and more excited as she spoke, her hand almost touching the tip of her nose.

Jiang Bai had just woken up and hadn't even figured out what was going on. Hearing this accusation, he narrowed his eyes, swung the wooden stick at her arm, and said emphatically, "If you dare to lay a hand on me again, I'll break your bones."

The woman's face turned pale with pain. Her triangular eyes darted around a couple of times, and suddenly she clutched her arm, lay down on the ground, and screamed at the top of her lungs, "Murder!"

"Come and see! Old Lady Zhao instigated two little brats to steal things, and she's going to kill someone to silence them if you say anything to her!" The woman threw a tantrum, clearly trying to extort money from the victim.

Jiang Bai sneered. She had lived in the apocalypse for ten years. What kind of vicious criminals hadn't she seen?

The woman in front of me is nothing but a shrew.

"Murder?" Jiang Bai chuckled mockingly, hoisting the wooden stick onto his shoulder and looking at her with a thuggish air. The next second, however, he suddenly kicked her shoulder, stomping on her and grinding his shoe into her shoulder with force. He was both fierce and mischievous. "Fine, I'll kill you today."

The woman was completely numb.

"No...don't kill me!" Her shoulder ached as if it had been ripped from her body, and a chill ran down her spine. She could tell that this person wasn't joking; she truly intended to kill him!

Jiang Bai, however, seemed disgusted and kicked her aside, saying indifferently, "Then why don't you get lost?"

Her sudden outburst of power frightened everyone so much that they dared not move. After exchanging glances for a few moments, they uttered a couple of threatening words and ran away as if their lives depended on it.

After driving the group away, Jiang Bai turned to look at the two children on the ground.

The younger one was probably terrified, lying on the ground crying at the top of her lungs. The older one was in a terrible state too; his once handsome face was now bruised and swollen, and he could barely move, yet he stubbornly held her, awkwardly wiping away his sister's tears and whispering soothingly, "Don't cry, Xiao Le, don't cry..."

Jiang Bai couldn't stand it, so he stepped forward and hugged the girl tightly.

"What are you doing!" The boy suddenly stood up like a wolf whose cubs had been snatched away, but was pulled back down by his wounds and could only stare at her hatefully.

As for the little girl, her face was deathly pale. She was so frightened that she didn't even dare to cry, and she froze like a wooden statue in her arms.

Jiang Bai frowned, about to speak, when a jumble of memories suddenly flooded her mind, tugging at her nerves. Caught off guard, she nearly fell.

It took Jiang Bai a good ten minutes to barely process the extra memories.

It turns out that after experiencing ten years of apocalypse, she had transmigrated into the body of a villainous female supporting character in an ancient farming novel!

No wonder those two children were so afraid of her.

Her role is that of their stepmother. Not only does she often deliberately starve them, but she also beats and scolds them at the drop of a hat, which can be described as abuse. Before long, she will even cause the little boy in front of her to be disabled!

Thinking of all this, Jiang Bai felt a chill run down his spine, not for any other reason than—the father of these two children is the main male protagonist of this book!

Before long, he will earn his first pot of gold, return home in glory, and become a well-known wealthy man in the surrounding area. Then he will ruin her family, cripple her legs, and leave her to wander the streets and beg for a living!

Thinking of the description in the original work, and looking down at the two children, Jiang Bai felt a wave of dizziness.

If... she starts treating the two younger ones well from now on and gains their forgiveness, maybe... she can appease the male lead's anger and there will still be a chance... right?

Jiang Bai was at a loss for what to do, so he carried the little one and followed his memory home.

She hadn't taken more than a couple of steps when she turned around as if remembering something, and sure enough, she saw Zhao Ping'an dragging his thin, withered legs with his small, dirty hands, moving with difficulty behind her.

The original owner of this body really committed a terrible sin. She sighed, walked to Xiao Ping'an's side, hugged him tightly, and walked quickly forward.

Xiao Ping'an was stunned at first, then her face quickly turned red, and she struggled violently in Jiang Bai's arms: "Let go, let me go, you..."

Jiang Bai almost broke free, gritted her teeth and increased her strength, mimicking the original owner's tone, and coldly threatened: "If you dare to move again, be careful I'll throw your sister on the ground."

One sentence was enough to calm him down.

Xiao Ping'an looked at Jiang Bai with suspicion and uncertainty. After a long while, her eyes filled with hatred, she said, "What... what exactly do you want to do?"

Why is this woman hugging him?
