Let's rewind half an hour.

While everyone was gathered around Lu Rongyu's hospital room, a figure slipped past them and entered Lu Yixuan's hospital room.

Lu Yixuan was staring blankly at the pale ceiling when he heard the door open and turned to look.

Seeing the person who was bundled up tightly at the door, he asked warily, "Who are you?!"

The person walked to Lu Yixuan's bedside, looked at Lu Yixuan's miserable state, and meaningfully threw out a bait that Lu Yixuan could not easily refuse: "Lu Yixuan, I will give you a chance to take revenge, do you want it?"

He gave Lu Yixuan a note.

Lu Yixuan took it, his gaze falling on the address, his pupils shrinking slightly: "What do you want to do?"

A hint of impatience flashed across the newcomer's face: "You don't need to know what we want to do. You just need to do this, and I will give you the chance to get revenge."

Upon hearing this, Lu Yixuan lowered his eyelids, concealing the turbulent emotions surging within them, his face appearing even more gloomy amidst the interplay of light and shadow.

He remained silent for a long time, then finally gritted his teeth and whispered, "Okay, I'll do it. I hope you'll keep your promise and let me take my revenge."

The newcomer's lips, hidden beneath a mask, curled into a smile: "Of course, as long as you successfully complete this mission, I assure you, the day of revenge is just around the corner."

In Lu Yixuan's eyes, hatred burned like a raging fire: "Fine! Deal!"

The man chuckled, "Alright, find a way to get Lu An'an to the back entrance of the hospital. Someone will be there to meet you. I'll be waiting for you here. Don't let me down."

After the figure, wrapped up tightly, quietly left the ward, Lu Yixuan paused briefly before stepping out of the room.

As he reached the hospital entrance, he saw Lu An'an and the others preparing to leave. Without hesitation, he called out, "Lu An'an!"

Lu An'an raised an eyebrow slightly as she looked at Lu Yixuan, who had called out to her and said he would exchange the truth for a deal.

Oh, I almost forgot that kid was in the hospital too.

She observed Lu Yixuan, noticing the sinister glint hidden deep in his eyes, and opened her mouth with interest: "Oh? The truth? Which truth are you referring to that intrigued me?"

Lu Yixuan's face remained indifferent, showing no emotion whatsoever: "About the truth you want to know."

Lu An met his gaze quietly, her eyes flashing with a complex light, but she remained silent.

[Tsk, I really am destined to die a tragic death; I can't escape any misfortune.]

[Fine, since we're here, let's make the best of it. I'll play along and see how painful a 'dog' biting when cornered.]

Lu An'an lowered her eyes slightly, a faint smile quietly blooming on her lips. When she looked up again, her eyes were full of interest: "Okay, what kind of deal do you want to make with me?"

Lu Yixuan's gaze slowly swept over the three people behind Lu An'an, and he said stiffly, "I don't trust them. I only make deals with you."

Lu An'an turned her head slightly, her gaze sweeping over the three people beside her, and replied softly, "Okay, I'll have them wait for me in the parking lot first."

Lu Wenjing's eyes were sharp as he subtly scrutinized Lu Yixuan for a moment, then gently shook his head at Lu An'an and said in a low voice, "We'll step back a bit and won't listen to you."

Upon hearing this, Lu An'an turned around, shrugged helplessly at Lu Yixuan, and said with a mischievous glint in her bright eyes, "Look, my older brother and the others are too worried about me. Why don't you just say it like this?"

A barely perceptible glint of malice flashed in Lu Yixuan's eyes. He gritted his teeth and said, "Don't you want to know why Lu Rongyu and Lu Yanhua have been targeting you?"

Upon hearing this, Lu An'an's eyes flickered slightly, and she nodded: "Of course I want to."

Lu Yixuan took a deep breath: "In that case, come with me, and I will tell you the whole truth."

Lu An'an shook her head and chuckled softly: "Lu Yixuan..."

That's really stupid.

Lu Yixuan noticed the subtle change in her eyes and his heart tightened: "You don't believe me?"

Lu An'an didn't answer. She turned around gently and whispered to Lu Wenjing, "Big brother, it's okay. He can't hurt me. I'll go see what he's up to. If anything happens, you and Fourth Brother can call me."

She gently stroked the back of the phone with her fingertips, seemingly unintentionally touching it, but in fact cleverly causing a small, exquisite red flag on the phone case to slide off.
