Transmigrated into a dilapidated mountain temple god statue at the start? Apologies, I've also bound to a deification system.
Yu Luo gave out a roasted chicken, and the mother and daughte...
The moment the Wolf God uttered these words, the entire mine fell into a deathly silence.
Even the wolf cubs, who had been engrossed in their meal, stopped what they were doing, cautiously raised their heads, and looked on in terror.
Is this new dad crazy?
How dare you challenge the majesty of the Mountain Goddess on this desolate mountain land?
The snake woman narrowed her golden, vertical pupils dangerously.
"What did you say?"
Her voice was like a knife chilled to the bone, scraping painfully.
The wolf god, however, was completely unaware. He straightened his chest, and his demonic aura suddenly spread out, attempting to intimidate the arrogant snake demon before him.
"I say, I want to see the Mountain Goddess! You are not worthy to judge me!"
"When my name, the Wolf God, resounds throughout the North, you're probably still playing in the mud somewhere!"
He held his head high with arrogance, his gaze sweeping past the snake woman and landing on the large wooden buckets filled with food, his eyes filled with disdain.
"For this little bit of pig feed, you're willing to be slaves and servants? You've utterly disgraced my wolf clan!"
Before he finished speaking, he suddenly raised his foot and kicked the nearest rice bucket hard with a whooshing sound!
"Clang!"
A loud bang.
He kicked the large wooden bucket containing the fragrant dumpling soup to the ground!
The scalding broth, mixed with large chunks of bone and meat, spilled all over the ground, steaming hot.
The wolf demons' hearts, along with the soup, cooled down considerably.
It's over.
This is their food!
The next second.
A black afterimage flashed through the air.
"Smack!"
A crisp, explosive sound reverberated throughout the entire mine!
Before the wolf god could even see the other's movements, a burning pain shot through his face as the wolf was sent flying by an irresistible force!
He flew through the air like a tattered sack, tracing an arc, before crashing heavily against the distant rock face and rolling to the ground.
The entire mine fell silent instantly.
All the wolf demons buried their heads in their large bowls, wishing they had never appeared.
The snake woman slowly retracted her long whip, her cold gaze falling on the wolf god.
Wolf God struggled to get up, only to find that half of his body was numb, his face was a bloody mess, and his nose seemed to be broken.
His face was filled with disbelief.
How is that possible?
How could this snake demon have severely injured me, a god, in a single move?
Why is her power so strange and strong?
"you……"
He had just uttered a single word.
"Smack!"
Another lash!
It struck him precisely on the other side of his face, instantly swelling it into a pig's head.
"What do you mean, 'you'?"
The snake woman had transformed into human form and walked gracefully towards him, looking down at him from her superior position.
Do you know how much that bucket of rice you spilled was worth?
Her voice was completely flat.
"That's fine rice, combined with spices from the barren mountains, and broth made by simmering free-range pig bones over a low flame for six hours."
"This bucket is worth a fortune."
"You can't afford to pay!"
The snake woman gently tapped the wolf god's forehead with the tip of her whip.
So, be honest.
"From now on, you'll not only have to mine, but you'll also have to do a lot more jobs."
"Pay back the debt!"
The wolf god lay on the ground, and upon hearing these words, he almost choked on his own breath and nearly died of anger!
I am the mighty Wolf God!
Lord of the Northern Divine Kingdom!
Being beaten up is bad enough, but now I have to work to pay for a bucket of rice?
This is an absolute disgrace!
…
The days that followed were like purgatory for the Wolf God.
He was put in heavy shackles and had to get up before dawn every day to go down into the mine with that group of "unfilial sons".
What devastated him most was that he had no food to eat.
At mealtimes, all the wolf demons would happily go to collect their food, but he was ordered to continue working.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Wolf God's eyes were bloodshot as he frantically swung his pickaxe, venting all his humiliation and anger on the black gold ore in front of him.
Not far away, a leisurely figure was sitting in a grand chair.
Wu Feng sat with his legs crossed, a small square table in front of him.
The table was laden with a dazzling array of items.
A glistening roasted chicken, sizzling roasted meat, vibrant green stir-fried vegetables, and a pot of warm wine.
He picked up a piece of grilled meat with alternating layers of fat and lean meat, stuffed it into his mouth, and squinted his eyes in satisfaction.
The rich aroma, carried by the wind, wafted into the wolf god's nose.
Wolf God's stomach, to its dismay, began to rumble.
"Hey, Brother Wolf God."
Wu Feng took a sip of his wine and spoke slowly.
Why bother?
"Look at yourself, why are you doing this to yourself?"
"If you had been like me and had voluntarily pledged allegiance to the Mountain Goddess back then, you could be sitting here now, living a life of luxury, and maybe even holding a minor official position."
The wolf god ignored him and simply increased the force of his mining.
Wu Feng changed the dish again, this time it was steamed sea bass, and the delicious aroma wafted through the air.
"You see, resistance is useless."
"The rules of the desolate mountain are the will of the mountain goddess. Look at these wolf demons, how happy they are now? They have enough to eat, warm clothes, and they even get paid for their work."
"Look at yourself, you look like a stray dog."
"Take my advice, soften your stance, apologize to the Snake Woman, and offer your loyalty to the Mountain Goddess. Good days are yet to come!"
The wolf god clenched his teeth, but his mouth was drooling profusely.
