A young woman carrying a child came out and looked at Li Yue sternly, saying, "How dare you question Comrade Lin's medical skills?"

"Who are you?" Li Yue looked at the young woman with displeasure.

The old woman stepped forward, took Lin Li's hand, and tears began to roll down her cheeks.

As her curses grew increasingly vile, Dr. Yu pointed at her nose and said, "You'd better arrange for someone to be transferred to another hospital right away. Our clinic can't treat your father."

When they saw Lin Laosan and Chen Yongming helping Lin Li walk out, they completely panicked.

Li Yue and her brother Li Jie blocked the way for the group to leave.

Lin Li looked at the two siblings, smiled, and was about to walk past them when Li Jie reached out his hand to her.

Seeing the disapproving looks from the crowd around her, Li Yue swallowed the rest of her words, forced a smile, and tried her best to put on a cheerful face.

"Comrade Lin, I'm so sorry! We were wrong just now. My father is still in the hospital bed. Could you please help him get treatment?"

Lin Li looked at her and shook her head sympathetically.

"Aren't doctors supposed to have a benevolent heart? Why didn't you treat the patient you saw?"

Realizing her tone was turning sour again, Li Yue quickly lowered her voice and looked at her with hopeful eyes.
