After Fu Hanting went to work, Qin Meihua came. She had been waiting for her at home.

But it was already mid-morning and none of them had returned yet.

She originally thought Xu Jinshu was not in serious trouble, and she did not take Qin Ying's alarmist remarks seriously. But at this moment, she felt that something was wrong.

Only when we arrived at the hospital did we learn about Xu Jinshu's condition, and it was just as Qin Ying had said.

At first glance, Qin Meihua's words seemed to be a gesture of modesty on Qin Ying's behalf, but upon closer inspection, they made people feel a little uncomfortable.

Qin Ying glanced at her without saying anything. If she continued to argue, it would seem like she was deliberately seeking credit.

After hearing her words, Xu Jinshu frowned and looked at Qin Meihua with some dissatisfaction in his eyes.

It is understandable that young people are arrogant, but they cannot deny the facts with their eyes open. There is no doubt about this matter. She was sober from beginning to end.

Qin Ying's decision was very rational and calm, and crucially, it didn't sound like something she said casually. But, is it so difficult to admit that Qin Ying is excellent?

Qin Meihua is a bit petty as a sister.

"Meihua, go back and tell Aunt Wu to make some easily digestible food for lunch. Qin Ying is here, so don't worry!"

Qin Meihua finally saw such an opportunity, how could she not show off, she quickly said:

Qin Meihua watched their interaction and felt that she was being ignored and redundant, and she was extremely angry.

She stood up, said goodbye to Xu Jinshu with a wry smile, and went back.

When she returned to the compound, she happened to see Wu Ma going out to buy groceries. Qin Meihua saw her from a distance and deliberately raised her voice very loudly:

"Auntie Wu, Auntie Xu is in the hospital. She specifically asked that today's meal be made easier to digest. I'll bring it to them at noon!"

Aunt Wu didn't see her and was startled by her voice. She was a little confused and wondered why she was shouting so loudly.

But she didn't ask anything and nodded:

"Okay, I understand, Miss Meihua. I'll make it at noon and send it to them. I'll also visit Professor Xu while I'm there. Don't worry!"

Qin Meihua's purpose in saying this was not to deliver food, but to let everyone in the compound hear the news.

After saying this, Mother Wu left the compound and hurried to buy groceries.

Qin Meihua deliberately slowed down her pace, waiting for those gossipers in the compound to come towards her.

Aunt Li waved at her, motioning her over:

"Miss Meihua, who did you say is in the hospital?"

Qin Meihua was waiting for this moment. Xu Jinshu was in the hospital, and Qin Ying loved to show off so much, so she let everyone in the compound know.

She walked up to the group of gossipy women and said with a worried look on her face:

"Oh, I was really scared last night. Aunt Xu had appendicitis and went straight into the operating room. I just came back from the hospital and wanted to arrange things at home. My sister Qin Ying is taking care of her in the hospital!"

Hearing her words, everyone sitting around started talking at once. Aunt Li frowned and said with concern:

"Oh, this has to be taken care of. You young people should pay more attention to it! If there is anything we can help you with, please feel free to ask!"

Qin Meihua sighed and nodded in a pretentious manner:

"Thank you for your concern, auntie, but the college entrance exam is coming up soon, and my sister has to take care of both. I'm really worried about her. She never had any education before, and now she has to take the college entrance exam. I'm afraid she'll lose sight of one thing and end up missing out on both."

Chen Guihua, who was in the crowd, heard this and curled her lips in disdain, sneering:

"Qin Ying is so overconfident. Last time I told you she wasn't cut out for the college entrance exam, and sure enough, even with Professor Xu so ill, she still refuses to give up. Qin Meihua was so happy when she heard this, but she pretended to agree:

"Actually, I understand my sister. She's ambitious and wants to work hard. But Captain Fu is away on a mission right now, and this mess at home is really overwhelming!"
