"Oh my god, I'm so tired. How much longer do we have to walk?" Qian Suisui's face was slightly flushed from exhaustion. They had already been on their journey for a day.

On the day Lin Jingge left, Qian Suisui caught up with her, wanting to be with Lin Jingge. Lin Jingge did not refuse, so she joined the group.

"At this rate, we should be nearing the capital soon. Let's hold on a little longer." Lin Jingge smiled slightly and casually took the water bottle from her storage container and handed it to the other person.

Qian Suisui didn't stand on ceremony and started drinking directly. Before she could even swallow the water in her mouth, the surrounding scenery suddenly became distorted.

Seeing that things were not going well, Lin Jingge frowned and said, "This is probably a magic array. Everyone be careful."

The sky suddenly turned blood red, and the wind howled in my ears.

"It seems someone is deliberately preventing us from entering the imperial city." Lin Jingge took out her longsword, put her index and middle fingers together, and a stream of spiritual energy slid out from the sword.

Everyone felt a deafening roar in their ears, and suddenly the blood-red sky returned to its original state.

The wind that had been blowing in her ears stopped, and Lin Jingge broke through three magic arrays along the way.

Qian Sui Sui was stunned; she hadn't expected Lin Jinge to become so capable in less than two years.

I didn't think so before, since it was just a method to remove demonic energy and couldn't really show Lin Jingge's strength. But now, breaking three formations in a row is enough to prove it!

She exclaimed in shock, "You're amazing!"

Lin Jingge smiled slightly but remained silent.

Having encountered so many formations along the way, it must have been deliberately set up by someone. However, since the other party is lurking in the shadows, it's not wise to make a move easily.

Lin Jingge took a deep breath and continued walking forward.

"I can see the imperial city!" Qian Suisui exclaimed excitedly.

After emerging from the woods, the imposing imperial city buildings were no longer in sight.

Looking at the tall city tower not far away, everyone's eyes were filled with joy. Just as everyone was happy, a demonic aura suddenly spread out in the middle and came straight towards them.

They looked as if they wouldn't give up until they penetrated their bodies.

"Watch out!" Lin Jingge's expression suddenly changed. She drew her longsword and plunged it into the ground, unleashing a powerful sword intent imbued with spiritual energy.

The powerful pressure instantly spread in all directions, and Qian Suisui subconsciously reached out to protect her eyes.

The surrounding demonic energy was also suppressed by the pressure of this spiritual power, dissipating and turning into nothingness.

As they got closer, they saw dozens of tents of various sizes set up outside the imperial city, indicating that someone was living there.

"I'll go check. You all stay here for now and don't wander around." Lin Jingge sheathed her sword and walked away.

The people inside the tent had clearly already noticed their arrival, so they stopped trying to hide it.

An elderly man dressed in a black cloak came out of the tent and looked at Lin Jingge with a keen curiosity in his eyes.

"Who are you?" This person was the Valley Master of Phoenix Perch Valley. Although he was already in his sixties, he was still energetic and his majesty was not diminished in the slightest.

"Hello, my name is Lin Jingge. May I ask who you and the others are?" Lin Jingge asked in a gentle tone.

These people didn't look like they were committing any heinous crimes.

The man glanced at Lin Jingge and noticed that she looked righteous and there was no demonic energy surrounding her, so he lowered his guard a bit.

"I am the master of Wind Dwelling Valley."

Upon hearing this, Lin Jingge subconsciously looked at Liu Yan, only to see that Liu Yan had already stepped forward.

She nodded to Lin Jingge and called out, "Valley Master."

This sound confirmed the identity of the person in front of her, and Lin Jingge no longer had any doubts.

"Now that we're all here at the foot of the imperial city, why don't we go inside?"

"Don't you know? The imperial city has become a living hell. Everyone inside is infected. If the city walls hadn't been locked, these mindless demons would have already broken out."

"I never imagined things would get this serious." Lin Jingge felt a real headache coming on.

"Now, if we want to save people, we can only think about it. How can we save people if we can't even open the city gates?" The Valley Master said helplessly.

"The city gate won't open?" Lin Jingge had just drawn her sword to try and split the city gate open in one fell swoop.

A woman next to the Valley Master was so frightened that she quickly stopped him.

"What are you doing? What's wrong with you? Are you trying to kill us all?" the woman said.

He instantly looked incredibly ugly, glaring fiercely at the other person.

Lin Jingge, who was being glared at, felt somewhat bewildered.

They had just said they couldn't open the city gate, so why was she being stopped when she tried to open it? Lin Jingge found this woman very strange.

"These demons are out of control now. If you open the door, won't that mean we'll all be buried with them? Although there's this spring water to suppress the demonic energy, its medicinal power is limited. It's useless for those with more serious conditions," the woman said irritably.

"Enough." The Valley Master stopped the woman when he saw that she was getting too emotional. "Young lady, we at Phoenix Perch Valley are truly helpless. We have never encountered such a situation in all these years."

Lin Jingge lowered her eyes and remained silent.

After learning about the current situation, she felt relieved and told the other party about her method for removing the demonic energy.
