Spring planting and autumn harvest, daily life. There are no imperial relatives. The space is used for hoarding items and storing things.
Xu Han woke up to find herself transmigrated to an al...
"Haha, I made this especially for Yunyun. She'll definitely love it."
When his granddaughter was mentioned, Grandpa Zhao smiled even more broadly. "That girl Yunyun loves snacks the most. If she saw these treats, she definitely wouldn't eat her meals."
Xu Han also laughed and said, "That won't happen. Yunyun loves my cooking so much, she definitely won't skip meals."
As the two were talking, the Taoist priest and Lu Chuan walked in from outside.
As soon as they entered the courtyard, the Taoist priest asked, "What new food have you made at home? Did you fry something? This tastes a bit unfamiliar yet a bit familiar."
Grandpa Zhao joked, "Your nose is the most sensitive of all; none of the dogs in the house are as good as yours."
"Of course, you can't hide anything from me if you want to sneak a bite."
As the Taoist priest was speaking, he suddenly realized something was wrong, picked up a stone from the ground, and threw it at Grandpa Zhao.
"You old man Zhao, how dare you make fun of me."
Grandpa Zhao nimbly dodged the stone thrown by the Taoist priest and laughed, "Hahahaha, this isn't what I said, you admitted it yourself."
Everyone laughed upon hearing this, and for a moment, the Taoist priest and Grandpa Zhao were chasing each other playfully in the courtyard. Their back-and-forth was comparable to a martial arts movie.
Xu Han thought to herself, "People who know martial arts are indeed different; even their sparring is so exciting to watch."
Seeing the two running around in the yard, Ze'er stumbled over, but after only a few steps, she plopped down on her bottom. She was simply too bundled up in thick clothes, making it difficult to move around.
After falling, Ze'er didn't cry. Instead, he just sat on the ground and played, laughing and joking. Ze'er was just too naughty. He wore thick winter clothes and always wanted to walk by himself, so he would fall down eight or ten times a day. We had gotten used to it.
Wearing thick clothes has its advantages; at least it won't hurt if he falls, otherwise he would cry every day.
They were playing around in the yard, while Xu Han, Lu Chuan, and Mu'er squatted in a row at the kitchen door, each holding a small bowl of potato chips they wanted to eat, as if they were watching a performance.
The scene was quite funny, but the three of them didn't care at all and were having a great time watching it.
Finally, the Taoist priest said, "Stop, stop, stop! Stop fighting! Look at that family of four, squatting and sitting, completely looking like they're enjoying a good show, not even trying to hide it. If you keep fighting, they'll eat all the food."
Grandpa Zhao stopped when he heard this, mainly because he heard the sentence that the food was almost all gone.
Although I knew I had made a lot of potato chips, I had only just tasted them and hadn't had my fill yet, so I stopped.
Lu Chuan, still stirring things up, said, "You guys are giving up already? You've only exchanged a few moves! You're admitting defeat? I was just about to pull up a chair and sit down to watch."
As the Taoist priest passed by the kitchen door, he kicked Lu Chuan without any politeness. However, Lu Chuan had already learned from his experience and nimbly dodged the kick when the Taoist priest stretched out his foot.
Perhaps because he had been squatting for too long, Lu Chuan accidentally sat down on the ground while hiding from the Taoist priest.
Xu Han laughed loudly, "Serves you right for being so talkative. You got kicked out, didn't you?"
Xu Han laughed as she slowly stood up, stretched her legs which had gone numb from squatting, and secretly took a deep breath. Ouch, the feeling of numb legs is really unpleasant.
The three of them stood up and moved around for a while before Xu Han got up to pick up Ze'er and put away the cushion she had just placed under his bottom.
The weather is quite cold now. Although it's sunny at noon, sitting on the ground for too long can easily make you catch a chill, and if you get diarrhea, that would be a real problem.
Just like Xu Han before, the Taoist priest and Grandpa Zhao filled their bowls with potato chips and dried sweet potatoes and ate them with gusto.
"Is this really made with sweet potatoes and potatoes? I never imagined that these two things could make such a delicious dish."
Xu Han said with a smug look, "Isn't it delicious? There are many ways to cook potatoes and sweet potatoes. I'll make some more for you to try another day."
Just kidding! Potato chips are a favorite snack among modern young people, loved by both adults and children. For people in ancient times when food was scarce, they were a rare and delicious treat. Winning over the ancients was incredibly easy.
As the Taoist priest ate one after another, he said, "You said it yourself, there are still plenty of sweet potatoes and potatoes in the cellar, so feel free to eat as much as you want. If it's not enough, I'll plant more next year."
Xu Han was speechless. How much did they like to eat? They had planted a lot of potatoes and sweet potatoes this year. Even if the dogs at home ate some of them as their main food, it would be enough to last for more than half a year next year.
The Taoist priest was actually thinking of using all those potatoes and sweet potatoes to make snacks.
Forget it, people who can't cook wouldn't know how many potato chips and dried sweet potatoes this can make, so Xu Han will be magnanimous and not argue with him.
But I couldn't help but say, "No matter how delicious this is, it can't be eaten as a meal. And even though it looks like a lot, it won't fill you up. I'll eat less and go make lunch."
"Wife, let me help you." Lu Chuan said and followed her into the kitchen.
Because she had fried something in the oil pan that morning, Xu Han had been smelling the fumes all morning and didn't have much of an appetite, so she simply made a big pot of sour soup noodles.
Everyone just ate potato chips and dried sweet potatoes, which will help to cleanse the palate and reduce the greasiness.
During dinner, Xu Han suddenly remembered to ask Lu Chuan, "Why are you all back so early today?"
"We originally planned to go hunting pheasants and rabbits in the mountains today, but we realized halfway there that we hadn't brought lunch, so we just wandered around the nearby mountains and came back."
