The entire government office was reduced to an empty shell by the Yu family, leaving behind a mess that had not been dealt with.

"This is outrageous! Where are they now?" Yun Zhenchuan was furious.

"Our family and the Yu family's soldiers are almost at each other's throats."

Yun Zhenchuan threw down the booklet in his hand. "Is there no law here? Come on, I'll go with you to see."

The Yun family's carriage was waiting outside the government office. The father and son got into the carriage, and the driver drove straight to the Yun family's manor outside the city.

At this moment, two groups of people were facing off at Yun Family Manor outside the city of Nanzhou.

A soldier from the Yu family, holding a booklet and dressed in military uniform, arrogantly declared, "You have no choice but to hand it over today. You dare disobey General Yu's orders? Do you intend to rebel?"

He happened to be training his troops at this manor with Yun Qi and Yun Xiaobei when the Yu family came to forcibly conscript soldiers.

The soldier glanced at him, his face full of disdain. "With that coward Yun Zhenchuan, what makes you dare to swagger around here? Enough nonsense, hand over the man now, or we'll raze this village to the ground today."

"You are not allowed to insult my father. If you take another step forward, I will beat you to death."

Enraged, Yun Kang drew his sword from his waist in a flash.

His men and the villagers behind him all brandished their weapons: the men with longswords, and the villagers with hoes, shovels, carrying poles, and wooden sticks.

"I'd like to see just how powerful you really are."

The soldier also drew his sword, and the twenty-odd soldiers following behind him kept shouting and jeering.

Yun Kang, young and impetuous, could not stand such humiliation, so he raised his sword and charged forward to exchange blows with his opponent.

Yun Qi and Yun Xiaobei crossed their arms in front of their chests, looking like they were watching a show.

"Seventh Brother, will it be alright if we don't intervene?" Yun Xiaobei asked with some concern.

"Don't worry, Young Master Yun Kang has been with us for two years. If he can't even handle these few small fry, how could our master let us off easily?"

Yun Kang was still young and hadn't been seriously learning martial arts for long. Several times he was in grave danger, but he managed to avoid vital points with Yun Qi's guidance.

The soldier glanced at the people he had brought behind him, waved his hand, and the group quickly withdrew from Yun Family Manor.

Yun Kang looked up; his face was covered in blood, a horrifying sight.

A hint of guilt flashed across Yun Zhenchuan's face. His son had grown up without him even realizing it. Just now, he watched him fight with the other party from afar. He was calm and composed, and there was a trace of his father in him. If it weren't for his shout, he might not have been defeated by the other party.

"If you're injured, call a doctor immediately."

"Father, it's alright, it'll be fine in a bit," Yun Kang said nonchalantly.

Fearing that he would anger his father again, Yun Jing quickly said, "Fourth brother, Father is just concerned about you."

"Thank you for your concern, elder brother. However, Father, the Yu family will not let this go so easily after they have slunk away like this."
