"They're way better than me! The only reason I was able to escape was because those two girls followed me and screamed in terror. When the two men in black saw that things were going badly, they took Grandpa Ouyang hostage and ran away. I chased them for a while, but their lightness skills were too good, and I couldn't catch up," Tie Tou said remorsefully.

"You've done your best."

When the two arrived at the Ouyang residence, they found that the front yard had been ransacked.

Er Gou's mother and Gou Wa Zi were so frightened that they huddled together and trembled, while the two female helpers fell to the ground.

Lan Yamei rushed to the female shop assistant, checked her breathing, and thankfully found that she had only fainted from fright and was otherwise unharmed.

He quickly hugged the old woman and Gouwazi, feeling deeply guilty. He and his wife had indirectly died because of him, leaving behind these two poor souls whom he hadn't taken good care of. He had initially thought the barbecue restaurant was unsafe, but now it seemed even the Ouyang family's backyard wasn't safe. He immediately decided that he would only feel at ease if he brought the two of them to the restaurant to eat and live with him.

"Don't be afraid, Auntie. I'm Lan Yatou. With me here, you and Gouwazi will be fine! I'll take you back to the shop right now."

Er Gou's mother, seemingly regaining some of her senses after the shock, said tremblingly, "Lan girl, there are bad people here."

"Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, I'll beat up the bad guys."

"Mmm, don't be afraid, don't be afraid." The old woman hugged Gouwazi tightly. Gouwazi just stared at the two of them with his eyes open, without saying a word.

Lan Yamei pinched the philtrum of the two female shop assistants, and they slowly woke up, slapping their heads and staring blankly at everyone, asking, "Why did Manager Lan come here?"

"Are you feeling unwell since we picked you up and brought you back to the store?"

"No, no, I was just startled. They were carrying knives," the two female employees quickly explained.

"It's alright, Tie Tou has already caught them and taken them to the authorities. They were just two thieves named Mao Wei, don't worry."

Once the two women realized the matter was resolved, they quickly sat up, dusted themselves off, and went to help the elderly woman and the child.

"Tie Tou, you go back to the shop with them. Just bring the clothes, nothing else. The shop has everything. The room that Butterfly used to be in is for Auntie and Gouwazi. They should get used to the work in the shop as soon as possible."

"Okay, sure." Tie Tou quickly led the group back to their room to pack.

After seeing them off, Lan Yamei said, "I need to come and pick up some things. You go ahead, I'll be there soon."

"I'll send them back and come find you!" Tie Tou said, still worried.

"No need, no need. Today is the first day of business. Just make sure the store is running well. Thank you for your hard work today!"
