Mu Jin refused without hesitation, saying, "Thanks, but I can't eat when I see you."

Su Yi continued, "No, sister-in-law! Please give me a chance to apologize. We're family after all. Once this misunderstanding is cleared up, we can still be a loving family."

Mu Jin sneered: "Heh~ Who cares about being part of your family? Don't try to make yourself look good. Even if you were before, you won't be anymore. Don't waste your energy trying to maintain this crumbling family relationship."

Su Yi was taken aback: "What you said about it not happening soon, sister-in-law? You wouldn't make Third Brother cut ties with me just because you dislike me, would you?"

Mu Jin felt that Su Yi, a grown man, was more talkative than a woman. She secretly resented the size of the palace and the fact that the journey had taken longer than the trip there. She wondered if the eunuch had led her astray.

Mu Jin couldn't help but walk forward impatiently, taking two quick steps forward and saying to the young eunuch, "Sir, are you leading us the wrong way? Why haven't we reached the palace gate yet after walking for so long?"

The young eunuch replied, "Your Highness, this is the closest road to leaving the palace."

Mu Jin felt a little annoyed, thinking to herself, "It's not that the road is far, it's just that there's an annoying person by my side that makes the road seem difficult."

Mu Jin said, "Someone has generously donated money today to apologize to me. If I don't accept this kindness, I would be letting them down."

Qing'er asked suspiciously, "You want to go to Shuyu Tower to kill King Yi?"

As he spoke, he glanced at the doorman, handed over a thousand taels of silver notes, took the receipt, and then led Mu Jin and her servant into Shuyu Tower.

It was probably lunchtime, as there were no guests in Shuyulou.

Mu Jin asked the attendant beside her, "Where is your most expensive counter?"

The waiter glanced at Su Yi, and Su Yi nodded.

The waiter replied to Mu Jin, "Every item in our Shuyu Pavilion is priceless, and each one is extremely valuable. What specific items are you looking for? I can recommend some to you."

Mu Jin saw the waiter looking at Su Yi before replying to her, and assumed that Su Yi was implying to the waiter not to tell him.

It was lunchtime, and Mu Jin was hungry. She didn't really want anything in particular; she was just there to fleece Su Yi, so she didn't want to waste any time in the building.

Mu Jin walked to the nearest jewelry counter and said to the sales clerk, "I'll take all of these, pack them all up for me."

"Please wait a moment, sir. Given that the items you have purchased qualify you as one of our most distinguished customers, I will have our manager come and attend to you."

After the waiter finished speaking, he went upstairs to Zhao Yefan.

When Zhao Yefan heard the servant report that Su Yi had brought a distinguished guest and bought a cabinet full of rare treasures, he immediately jumped up with joy.

Overjoyed, Zhao Yefan assumed that some sucker who wanted to curry favor with Su Yi had brought him money, so he excitedly ran downstairs to see which sucker it was.
