Early in the morning on New Year's Eve, the mother-in-law, daughter-in-law, and Aunt Wang, driven by Fu Sinian, went to the vegetable market early.

I heard that New Year’s Eve is the last day the vegetable market is open. From the first day to the third day of the first lunar month, the vegetable market will be closed. After all, the staff here also have to go home for the New Year.

The weather is so cold that there is definitely no fresh seafood, but there are plenty of dried kelp, jellyfish heads, frozen shrimps, frozen fish and various other dried goods.

Even abalone and sea cucumbers, which are usually very hard to find, were available. Lin Siya went forward to ask about the price and immediately felt that they were very cheap over there. The price here was more than twice as expensive, and the key point was that the quality was not as good as those they bought.

Lin Siya had already prepared the menu for the New Year’s Eve dinner, so she bought the food very quickly.

Coming out of the seafood stall, the four people were carrying a lot of things in their hands.

Although the goods in the vegetable market were in limited supply at that time, they had money and tickets, so buying them was still very smooth.

After buying the seafood, Lin Siya bought a live fish. No matter what time it is, there must be a fish dish on the New Year’s Eve dinner, which also means abundance every year!

She went to the meat stall again and bought a lot of ribs, pig's trotters, and pork belly. She also bought a chicken, which had already been plucked and cleaned, saving her a lot of trouble.

Originally, there were not many fresh vegetables on the vegetable stalls, but because it was close to the Chinese New Year, several trucks of fresh vegetables were brought back from somewhere. This made the people in Beijing, who had been eating cabbage, potatoes and radishes for a long time, light up their eyes.

There was a long queue at the vegetable stall. By the time it was Lin Siya and her friends' turn, there was only a few vegetables left on the stall.

She didn't hesitate and bought a lot of every kind of vegetable, which made the New Year's Eve dinner more abundant.

The group came out of the vegetable market exhausted, mainly because there were too many people inside and there were long queues in front of each stall. Fortunately, there were many of them and each person was responsible for buying one thing, so the process was much faster. Otherwise, it would have taken them forever to get out.

After leaving the vegetable market, the group went to the supply and marketing cooperative. Today, the supply and marketing cooperative was packed with people.
