A system, sweet romance, beast world, ancient times, and N...P!
I was preparing to go on a trip when I opened my eyes at the boarding gate and transmigrated to the beast world. This is a good...
I'm exhausted these past few days, and everyone's been talking to me in a really bad tone.
Arthur: "We had a lot of prey today. Xiaoxiao wants some barbecue. Let's go back and keep her company."
Mickson's mood improved somewhat, realizing he had neglected her due to his busy schedule. Cang Jue, however, was parched, hungry, and thirsty.
"Let's take a day off today and go home. Get some sleep; we're exhausted."
After agreeing on the plan, they carried some meat and left the field.
Guo Xiaoxiao squatted idly at the cave entrance, looking at the scenery outside. It hadn't snowed for the past two days; the white layer outside had disappeared, melted away, leaving only a damp expanse.
She'd gotten used to it; it was the same whether it snowed or not, nothing special.
I ate two tomatoes and didn't want to eat dinner; I was too lazy to cook.
Guo Xiaoxiao was incredibly bored. If only Miksen and the others weren't with the chieftain, they'd have time to keep her company, or at least give her a computer to play games on. She was just idly cleaning the cave.
"Xiaoxiao..."
Arthur's voice rang out, and Guo Xiaoxiao's eyes lit up as she saw the three of them returning, carrying their prey on their backs.
"You're back so early!"
It was obvious that Guo Xiaoxiao was bored. Arthur hadn't said much to her today, probably to give her a surprise.
I told her in advance that Guo Xiaoxiao would definitely want to cook meat dishes for them herself.
Arthur didn't want her to be too tired; carrying such a large black beast, the roasted meat would surely taste delicious.
Mickelson frowned in displeasure: "Get inside dressed so scantily and sit by the fire."
Guo Xiaoxiao smiled and said, "It's okay, I'm not cold anymore."
Cang Jue took off the animal skin he was wearing and covered her with it: "It's better to wear something warmer."
Guo Xiaoxiao was overjoyed that they had all returned to their empty house, thinking she would be alone again.
"Aren't you busy anymore?"
Arthur: "Yes, I wasn't busy today, so I had time to come back and keep you company."
Guo Xiaoxiao pursed her lips and secretly smiled.
"Xiaoxiao, we'll grill some for you, you rest."
Under the skillful hands of the three males, the pork was roasted until golden brown and juicy, tender, and incredibly fragrant.
It's absolutely delicious with the seasonings.
Cang Jue handed her the tenderest part of the pork tenderloin: "Xiaoxiao, eat more if you like, we have plenty."
Guo Xiaoxiao: Okay
She took a bite, and it was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside—so delicious! Seeing that Arthur and the others weren't eating yet, she urged them on.
"Don't all just eat it!"
Seeing her happy expression, Arthur couldn't help but smile as well.
Eat up.
A group of people joined in the battle and devoured the roast pig.
After dinner…
Mickson leaned against the stone wall, feeling puzzled. Why was it that Arthur always managed to hunt such large quantities and meet his quota, while he and Cang Jue never managed to catch as many?
"Arthur, where do you usually hunt?"
Cang Jue also wanted to ask this question, and he looked at Arthur.
Arthur took a sip of water: "Just like yours, sometimes we go to places a bit further away from here."
Mickelson: "That doesn't make sense. If you're the same as us, why do you catch almost twice as many prey as we do each time?"
Guo Xiaoxiao interjected, "Maybe he was just lucky. You might go out even more next time."
Arthur gave a mocking laugh: "Ha, how could they possibly hunt more than me like that? If it weren't for me, you'd all be starving to death."
Mickelson had a feeling that Arthur must have done something shady.
"Where did you hunt? Tell us, and we'll come to your hunting grounds next time."
Arthur raised an eyebrow, deciding not to argue further; he was forced into this situation to survive.
"Some of it came from hunting, and some..."
He paused for half a second, then calmly looked directly at them.
"Stolen!"
Guo Xiaoxiao gasped: "Rob me?"
Although the orcs were taught by Guo Xiaoxiao that they shouldn't bully others, what would happen to them if she stole all their food? Would they starve to death?
But then Guo Xiaoxiao thought that this way of thinking was too saintly and inappropriate for the beast world.
I knew it.
Mickelson said coldly, "Who did you steal it from?"
Arthur glanced at him dismissively: "I've stolen from many people, I don't even know which one it is."
Cang Jue: "Arthur, you're ruthless!"
That's nothing! The truly ruthless ones haven't even appeared yet. If they don't seize other people's orcs and continue to expand, they'll only be eyeing the Yushan tribe with covetous intent. When food becomes scarce, they'll come and rob us too.
Guo Xiaoxiao fell silent, slightly confused, but it was better to remain silent; someone sitting and waiting to be fed had no right to tell others what to do.
Let her say, "Wow, Arthur, you're so mean! You're stealing other people's things! You bad guy, stop doing that!" In short, she says...
Arthur: "You'd better follow my example. In time you'll have to. The wolves living in our tribe are also stealing from others. Randy gave his permission."
Continuing from the previous sentence
“One more thing, Mikeson and Cangjue, stop helping those homeless orc refugees. Spend more time visiting stronger tribes. When Carlos attacks, we need strong allies, like Randy. We'll need him to fight alongside us in the future. Go and discuss the tribe's future with him.”
Arthur continued
"From my observation, among the orcs who fled here, there are quite a few outstanding bear-beasts, tiger-beasts, and lion-beasts. We should let them join us. Herbivorous orcs, on the other hand, are completely defenseless and should have been abandoned in the first place."
Mikson and Cangjue stared at each other, neither knowing where to begin their rebuttal. Mikson was the more righteous type, while Cangjue's thinking leaned towards that of him and Arthur.
When the situation eases, Cang Jue will unconditionally help the orcs, but when the situation turns against him, don't blame him for showing no mercy.
He would make the same choice as Arthur: to rob the weaker orcs to save his people.
