A system, sweet romance, beast world, ancient times, and N...P!
I was preparing to go on a trip when I opened my eyes at the boarding gate and transmigrated to the beast world. This is a good...
Arthur: "It's been so long, and they still haven't left?"
Qianye: "I don't know either."
Damn it, at this rate we'll be worn down and killed.
Qianye: "Let's figure out a defense first. I'll go gather the others. Once they leave, we'll immediately seal off the tribe."
Ian: "Okay"
Qianye turned around and went back to the tribe to find someone.
The tree spirit is exceptionally powerful, and its lush vegetation makes it truly difficult to deal with without any weaknesses.
A group of people gathered to discuss countermeasures, while several orcs and Cang Jue were constantly cutting down trees, digging tunnels, and setting traps.
Tuer was roaming around providing support when Guo Xiaoxiao ran past them, only to be grabbed by Tuer.
"Great Shaman, it's very dangerous ahead! Quickly, hide!"
Guo Xiaoxiao: "I have an idea, I need to go help."
Upon hearing this, Tu'er realized that witchcraft was to be used, and he didn't delay any longer.
"Alright, Vasily, you take the High Priestess there, and make sure she is well protected."
Vasily transformed into a leopard, and Guo Xiaoxiao mounted it. The two then rushed towards the battlefield.
Guo Xiaoxiao had just run out when she bumped into Arthur, who was returning with the bone knife. Arthur was startled, but after recognizing her, he suddenly shouted...
"Xiaoxiao!"
"Arthur, I'm going now!"
Is this some kind of nonsense? Are you out of your mind? Arthur didn't even take his bone knife and ran after her like the wind, but he couldn't keep up with the leopard beast.
When Guo Xiaoxiao arrived at the battlefield, she saw a scene of utter devastation. Several orcs, who hadn't had time to use healing potions, lay dead on the ground, lifeless.
The tree spirit's roots scraped against the ground with a tremendous sound; it was truly spectacular to see up close, Guo Xiaoxiao exclaimed.
The leaves were several times denser than usual, making it look like a monster when viewed from below.
Ian and his group were already suppressed by the tree spirits, and seeing that things were about to fall apart, Ian shouted...
"Everyone, evacuate immediately!"
The orcs retreated in droves, and the tree spirits quickly pushed towards the tribe's territory.
Vasily, fearing that Guo Xiaoxiao would get hurt, kept a distance to protect her.
Arthur caught up with her, pulled Guo Xiaoxiao down, and hugged her tightly.
"Are you out of your mind? Get out of the way!"
Guo Xiaoxiao hugged his waist: "Don't be so serious, I have a way to solve this."
Arthur was puzzled. Was she planning to use witchcraft against the tree spirit? It wasn't that he didn't believe in her abilities, but could she possibly fight a monster like a tree spirit?
But there was no time to think about it now; the tree spirits were closing in and were about to crash into the tribe.
Guo Xiaoxiao pushed Arthur aside and jumped down, extending a hand.
"Everyone, step back, let me do it."
The orcs retreated, but the tree spirits did not slow their pace at all. Without the orcs and tree spirits to hinder them, they charged into the tribe.
Guo Xiaoxiao gritted her teeth and silently chanted in her heart, "No need to expend energy."
An orange magic circle appeared in his hand, then expanded, bursting forth with vibrant light. A beam of orange light shot into the sky, instantly dyeing the heavens orange, the colors spreading in all directions.
An orange magic circle flickered incessantly in front of Guo Xiaoxiao, its light enveloping more than a dozen tree spirits, whose movements slowly ceased.
Everyone stared at Guo Xiaoxiao in astonishment. What kind of witchcraft was this that could make the monster stop?
Guo Xiaoxiao's face was deathly pale. The control over the tree spirit was time-limited and required no further effort; once the effect wore off, the tree spirit would revert to its original state. She felt a sense of exhaustion.
Her legs went weak, and Guo Xiaoxiao slumped down.
Are you alright?
Arthur supported her and asked with concern.
Guo Xiaoxiao shook her head to indicate that she was fine. Seeing the tree spirit stop moving, she breathed a sigh of relief; it really had worked.
The tree spirits paused for a moment, some began attacking each other, some swayed wildly as if dancing, some continued crawling forward, and others moved rapidly out of the tribe, their excitement uncontrollable.
Regardless, they lost their offensive capabilities, and control was severed.
The beastmen were overjoyed. Although they didn't know what magical spell the high shaman had used, at least they were temporarily safe. They cheered and gathered around, looking at Guo Xiaoxiao with newfound respect.
"Great Shaman, you're amazing! You can even glow!"
"As expected of a great shaman, he retreated after just one attack."
Guo Xiaoxiao leaned against Arthur and managed a weak smile.
Thank you everyone.
Arthur carefully picked her up.
"I'll take you to rest for a while."
"I'm fine, just a little tired."
Arthur disagreed, saying that she would faint sooner or later if she was this weak, and that would be dangerous. He rebuked the orcs who surrounded her.
"Get out of my way! Can't you see she's tired?"
The orcs obediently made way, and Ian also ran over, watching from afar as Guo Xiaoxiao did something. A flash of light appeared.
"How is she?"
Arthur shook his head, showing no liking for him.
"None of your business"
Mickelson and the others were able to free up their hands and escorted Guo Xiaoxiao back to the tent. Seeing how weak and exhausted she was, they were heartbroken.
Guo Xiaoxiao used too much magic and fell into a coma. She didn't wake up until the next day.
According to them, the tree spirits themselves are a tribe, and they are cutting down sacrificial trees and repairing fortifications so that Guo Xiaoxiao can recover properly.
They also sent a lot of herbs, food, and several red crystals, which were their most precious possessions.
Carlos sat silently on the side, and finally he said...
"I'll take you back to the Southern Hemisphere."
Qianye was startled, but he couldn't bring himself to say it. He had no reason to let the females charge into battle.
Arthur and the others remained silent; they shared the same thought and didn't want Guo Xiaoxiao to sacrifice herself to please others.
Mickelson said
"Have Ian lift Carlos's restrictions, and he'll take you swimming back to the Southern Hemisphere. We'll stay here and help Qianye."
Guo Xiaoxiao drank her water and put it down to say
"No, we must help Linzhi solve their problem before we leave."
"A person can't be without a conscience. The wandering beastmen in Beast City were driven away with the help of the male from Linzhi, and Bai Jing was given to me by her. What kind of person would I be if I didn't care about anything?"
