"I didn't hear you clearly, could you say it again?"

Guo Xiaoxiao climbed off Arthur's body and ran back as fast as she could.

"Let's not talk about it anymore, let's go home together."

Arthur was comforted, and his worries disappeared. The two happily returned to their room in the cave.

Upon seeing Guo Xiaoxiao, Cang Jue immediately picked up the cubs and showed them to her. The baby eagles were about the same size as chicks, and twelve of them didn't feel like too many in his arms.

Especially under Cang Jue's strong arms, it could still struggle a couple of times.

"Xiaoxiao, look! Our baby is out!"

Guo Xiaoxiao happily took the cub and held it in her arms. Cangjue was wrapped in animal hide, but it was a bit difficult for Guo Xiaoxiao to carry him.

But the cubs have a special connection with their mother; they know Guo Xiaoxiao is their mother as soon as they see her.

One by one, they chattered and snuggled into Guo Xiaoxiao's arms.

Guo Xiaoxiao felt it was truly amazing. Not only did they lay eggs, but these little chicks seemed so affectionate upon first meeting; she must be experiencing maternal love.

"They're small, but they all look healthy. Their fur hasn't fully grown in yet. Did you wipe them down?"

Cang Jue used the animal hide to gently wipe himself clean. He was still too young to use too much force, but he still needed to clean off the sticky residue. After all, he was an orc, and not an ordinary chick.

The mucus layer is much thicker than that found on the eggs of ordinary wild animals; it needs to be cleaned off, otherwise they will feel uncomfortable.

"Yes, there was some animal fur standing on it. You didn't see them come out with your own eyes. If you had come back earlier, you would have seen them hatch."

Guo Xiaoxiao held the warm eagle cubs in her arms.

"Cang Jue, you've really worked hard these past few days. It's been tough on you, sitting there incubating the eggs every day. Will you have to incubate these chicks too? I've seen it on animal documentaries; eagles need to keep their young warm after they hatch."

They certainly didn't know what the animal world was, but once the chicks were born, they didn't need to sit there like they were incubating eggs; they just needed to reinforce and create a suitable living environment for them using animal hides.

Cang Jue: "No need, no need. We have plenty of animal hides stockpiled, and summer is almost here, so we won't catch a cold. You can rest assured."

Some of the eaglets seemed listless; were they about to sleep? Guo Xiaoxiao placed them on the hay mat, then gently checked the edges with an animal hide. She had considered covering their heads with it, but worried they might suffocate, so she gave up.

Whether the sun is out or we're in the desert, keeping warm shouldn't be a major concern.

Imagine watching Guo Xiaoxiao's tenderness towards Yingzi and the other children; the desire to have a litter of cubs grows stronger within you.

Randy and Mickson, who hadn't yet had cubs, felt the same way as Arthur, and were certainly no less eager to take the lead on this issue.

Guo Xiaoxiao will definitely have children for them; she's already made up her mind. She's a little afraid of the pain of childbirth, and also doesn't really want to have children in quick succession. Carlos gave birth to his child not long after, and then Cangjue's; she wants to wait a while longer.

Guo Xiaoxiao stroked the baby eagles, and the baby eagles affectionately pecked at her hands.

"Cang Jue, could you get them some food? Are they hungry? There's a piece of dried meat on the stone table; could you bring it to me?"

Cang Jue had forgotten this important matter. No wonder the eagle cub was listless; it was probably hungry and hadn't eaten enough. He casually picked up the dried meat from the stone table and tore it into small pieces.

"Xiaoxiao, move aside a bit, I'll feed them."

Guo Xiaoxiao shook her head and snatched the jerky into her own hands. She needed to do something; it wasn't fair to always leave Cang Jue to handle everything alone.

He needs to rest properly.

"No need, no need, I'll do it. You can just sit and watch."

Cang Jue smiled and didn't refuse, sitting down to the side: "Don't underestimate this small piece of meat, it's definitely not enough, I'll have to feed it again tonight before bedtime."

Looking almost like newborn chicks, they still needed feeding. Not wanting them to overeat, Guo Xiaoxiao tore off strips of meat and fed the eaglets, starting from left to right to avoid getting the order wrong.

The eaglets saw the meat and all their little heads shot upwards, mouths agape. Wherever Guo Xiaoxiao gestured, they scrambled towards it, a fierce struggle ensued; they all wanted just a few more bites. They were clearly starving.

Cang Jue was so engrossed in appreciating the joy of life that he forgot to feed the eaglet. Look how hungry it is, so dejected it looks like it's still half asleep.

"Don't fight over it, don't fight over it. There's enough for everyone. Cang Jue, go and get some more. This definitely won't be enough."

They tore it into strips and devoured it in no time, then opened their mouths and chattered at Guo Xiaoxiao.

I'm so hungry, so hungry, so hungry...

Cang Jue knew to borrow some dried meat from someone first. Actually, it could be eaten raw, but it was difficult to tear.

"Okay, Xiaoxiao, you keep an eye on it for now, I'll go get some jerky."

Guo Xiaoxiao reminded, "Take a few more pieces."

Cang Jue: "No problem."

Cang Jue ran outside without stopping to borrow some dried meat from someone.

Arthur stood behind, wanting to say something, but hesitated, unable to get through to those outside.

Guo Xiaoxiao's attention was entirely focused on the cubs.

Ignoring Arthur, even if Arthur is jealous, he wouldn't compete with the cubs for the mother beast.

He sat quietly to the side, watching Guo Xiaoxiao observe the eagles with a gentle expression.

Cang Jue quickly brought the meat back, and Guo Xiaoxiao fed it to the eagle cub little by little. She fed it all four pieces of jerky, and the eagle cub finally slept contentedly.
