Huo Hu took it, wiped it with his hand, recognized it as his demon pearl, and quickly put it away.

The cloaked orc chuckled slightly at his action, said nothing, put his hands behind his back, and said with a touch of arrogance, "We're even now, farewell."

"Pah! You stole my demon pearl, then tricked us into saving you, and now you're claiming to be in love with us? You're shameless!" Huo Hu thought to himself, but he knew in his heart that neither he nor Shen Miao were a match for this person.

Since this person could keep his promise and return the demon pearl to him, then let the matter rest. After all, they might not see each other again in the future. Thinking this, he said with a fake smile, "As you said, let's part ways here."

Huo Hu stepped forward and saw a bright red gash on Shen Miao's calf. He asked incredulously, "Such a small wound? She fainted because of such a small wound?"

Why is he so skeptical? Is this person just pretending to know what they don't?

Considering this, Huo Hu's tone became somewhat unfriendly, "Do you even understand medicine? If you don't, don't act recklessly. She is your savior. Without her, you wouldn't have made it out at all."

The cloaked orc explained in a harsh tone, "Many strange beasts have their own abilities. This leech orc's ability is to suck blood. Your friend must have been under too much mental stress, and due to fatigue, he had some blood sucked away, which caused him to suddenly faint."

"Is she in danger?" Fire Tiger asked, half believing and half doubting.

Huo Hu pressed his hand against the wound, but it was no use; blood continued to flow from between his fingers. He became somewhat agitated and tried to wrap it with his clothes, but soon his clothes were also soaked in blood.

Huo Hu only agreed to move when he heard that it was for Shen Miao. He went into the woods and returned with several plump wild rabbits, which were already cleaned. He lit a fire and started roasting them.

As the rabbit meat was roasted, Shen Miao slowly woke up. Upon waking, she smelled a delicious aroma and couldn't help but swallow.

The cloaked orc joked, "You're lucky; you woke up as soon as the meat was cooked."

This cloaked orc looks strange, but he's actually not that bad-hearted; at least he's not completely evil.

The three of them sat around the fire and ate the rabbit meat that Huo Hu had roasted. Shen Miao and Huo Hu then headed back home, while the cloaked beastman took a different route, and they parted ways.

On the way back, Shen Miao and Huo Hu discussed that the blood-red swamp was a huge hidden danger, like a cage containing a group of dangerous animals, and that the cage door might be broken open at any time.

Those beasts are exceptionally ferocious, and having been imprisoned for so long, they will be a huge problem.

After discussing it, the two agreed to add a seal on top. Although they didn't know why the swamp could trap those strange beasts, adding an extra layer of protection was always a good idea.

They returned home after discussing the journey, where Jiuying and Qingchen, along with several children, greeted them and prepared a large meal. Everyone ate their fill, and during the meal, Shenmiao recounted the events of the journey, mentioning the Crimson Swamp.

The children were so excited when they heard that Shen Miao and Huo Hu were fighting the giant snake that their mouths were agape, and they even forgot to eat.

Shen Miao found it amusing and stuffed a piece of meat into each of their mouths.

"And then? What happened next?" the children asked anxiously. Shen Miao stopped after saying she killed the giant snake, which drove the children crazy with anticipation.
