The next day, Cuihua did not call Ali and Su Jing'an.

When Ah Li woke up, Su Jing'an was still lying next to her.

As soon as Ah Li stirred, Su Jing'an woke up. He glanced at Ah Li and, seeing that she looked a little uncomfortable and shy, said, "I'll go out first. You get dressed."

Su Jing'an went out, and his clothes were on properly.

Ah Li got up to get dressed and found that her clothes were neatly folded at the head of the bed.

After Su Jing'an came out, Su Dashan was cleaning his ears. He had stuffed them with cotton last night, but it didn't help; he could still hear some things.

Upon seeing this, Su Jing'an asked, "Dad, what are you doing?"

In his past life, his parents passed away peacefully, without illness. He would go back to visit them occasionally, but they would always think of him, lamenting that he hadn't given them two grandchildren to raise.

Su Jing'an thought about being with Ah Li last night... In this life, he will grant his parents' wishes.

Su Dashan didn't mention that Cuihua had stuffed cotton into his mouth. He said, "It's nothing, it's just that a bug flew in."

When Ahri came out, she felt a little weak in her legs and walked awkwardly, because she hadn't closed the door last night.

Upon seeing this, Su Jing'an went over, helped her up, and asked, "Where are you hurt?"

Ahri blushed and said, "I just... felt my legs were weak."

When Cuihua saw Ah Li's condition, she said, "Ah Li, you should lie down for a while longer today and not get up. Let Jing An take care of you."

Ahri said shyly, "This isn't a good idea."

It seems like there aren't any women in the village who, on their first day as wives, lie in bed right there in the house.

Seeing that Ah Li's legs were trembling, Su Jing'an said, "It's alright, I'll help you back to your room."

Ah Li obediently followed Su Jing'an back into the house.

Seeing how much Su Jing'an doted on Ah Li and how obedient Ah Li was, Cuihua thought that she should give Ah Li more nourishing food later, since her son clearly didn't know how to behave properly.

"Honey, come here."

Cuihua called Su Dashan over. Su Dashan picked at his ear and said, "Take a look first, see if I've cleaned my ear properly?"

"Let me see."

Cuihua tiptoed to look at Su Dashan's ear, and Su Dashan also lowered his body so that Cuihua could see it more clearly.

Cuihua squinted at Su Dashan's ear, then blew a breath into it and said, "It's pitch black, how can you see anything?"

"Then why are you blowing air in?"

Su Dashan looked helplessly at Cuihua and helped her up.

Cuihua said, "I'll clean your ears later. By the way, when you have time, go and talk to Jing'an. Don't be reckless."

Su Dashan responded, "Okay, I'll talk to him later."

Ah Li didn't expect that she would come back as soon as she stepped out of the house.

Su Jing'an coughed lightly and said, "I was reckless last night, I won't do it again next time."

Ah Li blushed and looked at Su Jing'an with a hint of resentment. Did this person mean he was about to cut off his meat as soon as he got his hands on it?

For some reason, Su Jing'an understood what Ali meant. He helped Ali to sit down on the edge of the kang and said, "I will be more careful in the future and won't make you feel bad."

"Um."

Ah Li held Su Jing'an's hand and whispered, "Actually... it was uncomfortable at first, but it felt good later."

Su Jing'an squeezed Ah Li's hand. "Is it okay to say that?"

Fortunately, it's just the two of them inside now.

Su Jing'an coaxed, "Ali, you can't say these things outside anymore. When it's just the two of us, you can only say them inside the house, understand?"

Ah Li nodded knowingly, "I know, this is a private conversation between my husband and me."

Su Jing'an liked it when Ah Li said that the two of them were husband and wife. He hugged Ah Li and said, "Yes, it's a husband and wife's whispered words."

And so, Ah Li and Su Jing'an's married life began.

After a few days, when Ali had recovered to a fairly good degree, Su Jing'an took Ali for a walk in the village.

Su Jing'an also told Ali, "I used to love catching fish in the river, and oh yeah, stealing bird eggs too."

As Ali listened to Su Jing'an talk about his past, she said, "I can also catch fish; my grandma taught me."

"Really? Then let's have a competition."

As Su Jing'an spoke, he took Ali's hand and said they were going to catch fish.

Ah Li followed him quietly behind Su Jing'an.

However, Su Jing'an did not take Ali to the river, but instead went to the grove in the village.

Su Jing'an led Ali to a grove of trees. He looked around and found it was quite quiet and there was no one around. He then pinned Ali against a large tree and kissed her.

Ah Li clung tightly to the hem of Su Jing'an's clothes. This man... he's already married, yet he still comes here.

After an unknown amount of time, Su Jing'an and Ali parted slightly. He smiled and said, "I've always heard stories of people going into the woods together. Now I've seen it for myself."

Ahri said softly, "It's more comfortable at home."

Su Jing'an liked Ah Li's cooperation, and he said, "Yeah, it's more comfortable at home."

As the sun was about to set, Su Jing'an took Ali to fish in the small pond behind the mountain.

The villagers knew the two were a couple and they all liked seeing the happy young couple; no one gossiped about them.

The fish in the small pond are not small, but they are not big either.

Su Jing'an caught a fish and turned to ask Ali, "Should we eat it now, or take it back to eat?"

Ali thought for a moment and said, "Let's take it back and eat it, so that Mom and Dad can try it too."

Su Jing'an said with a conflicted expression, "But I want to bake it for you."

Ah Li looked at Su Jing'an in surprise, "You can grill fish?"
