Ghost city – just hearing this name, many people might imagine a city devoid of human habitation, shrouded in white mist, and devoid of any living beings.

However, the city is called Ghost City because the city lord liked the name.

The Lord of Ghost City is always shrouded in mystery in front of outsiders, possessing extraordinary skills, especially in martial arts. The city lord of the ghost city has twelve trusted confidants, representing joy, anger, sorrow, happiness, life and death, and demons and monsters.

Of course, if you want to become the lord of Ghost City, you can do so by defeating and killing the current lord. That person will then become the next lord of Ghost City.

Ahri stopped in her tracks. Before her appeared a mansion and five large men wearing blue-faced, fanged masks. They barged into the mansion.

There were only two adults and two children in that house, and they were all women.

A young woman was being pulled along by two large men who wanted her to serve them both at the same time.

An elderly woman timidly ran out, wanting to save the younger woman, but the younger woman asked her, "Where are my children? Where are my two children?"

The old woman stammered and couldn't speak, because the two children were hiding in the cellar.

Little did she know that a man had already entered the cellar and was about to lay a hand on the two ten-year-old girls.

However, when the man placed his hand on his belt, a long, crimson whip appeared around his neck.

Ahri tightened her grip on the long whip, and the man's neck and head separated instantly, his headless body falling heavily to the ground.

The two girls inside the cellar were hugging each other, looking at Ah Li with great fear.

Ah Li didn't go forward. She could vaguely hear the young woman ignoring the two men holding her and screaming at the older woman, "How could you leave them? These people are demons, devils!"

Two other men went to collect valuables from the house and locked the doors and windows; they intended to harm the young woman.

One of the men lit several incense sticks and slowly walked towards the young woman.

The young woman, thinking of the potential harm and misfortune that might befall her two daughters, knelt before the men and pleaded, "Please, let me see my two daughters. As long as they are safe, I will do whatever you want with them."

Four men surrounded them, grinning maliciously. "You think the four of you can escape? None of you are going to get away. Now we'll see who's going to be the first one."

The older woman seemed resigned to her fate; she tried to pull the younger woman up.

After the older woman pulled the young woman up, she thought: "At worst, I'll fight them. I'm going to die anyway, but my two children are still so young!"

The young woman saw the four men slowly walking towards her, and one of them even tried to pull at her clothes. She pushed away one of the big men with all her might and ran towards the cellar.

No matter the outcome, even if she dies, she wants to die with her child!

The four men exchanged glances and burst into laughter. They all believed that no matter how much the woman struggled, she couldn't escape the fate of being toyed with by them.

Ahri watched the scene unfold quietly, the long whip in her hand still dripping blood.

The young woman ran towards the cellar and spotted Ahri immediately.

The next second, Ahri's whip seemed to come alive, and she lashed it directly at the four men.

The four men recognized Ah Li's whip at a glance; he was a trusted confidant of the Ghost City Lord, a ghost named Li (狸) who had faced life and death.

Without uttering a single word, Ah Li killed the four men with a flick of her whip.

The young woman didn't stop; she rushed straight into the cellar.

When she found that her two daughters were safe and sound, she hugged them and wept with joy.

She didn't even glance at the headless corpse beside her.

After waiting for a long time, the young woman brought the two children out of the cellar.

Ah Li was still there, and the old woman looked at Ah Li with great fear.

The young woman, leading her two children, knelt down in front of Ali and said, "I am deeply grateful and will do anything you ask, no matter what."
