...If he dares to come, we'll catch him red-handed.
*
For several days in a row, everything was normal at the pig farm.
Just when Xiang Wanwan thought she was wrong, the green sprite flew back to her room in the middle of the night and woke her up.
She immediately got up and dressed. As she stood up, Lu Jingnian suddenly opened his eyes: "What's wrong? Where are you going so late?"
"Something happened at the pig farm, I have to go check it out."
Lu Jingnian frowned slightly and grabbed her arm: "How did you know?"
Xiang Wanwan was momentarily speechless: "Sixth sense."
There was no way she could just say she had an elf space.
Lu Jingnian got up and dressed with her, holding a flashlight: "I'll go with you."
The two quickly arrived at the entrance of the pig farm with flashlights. By then, Aunt Sun was already asleep, and the pig farm was quiet.
The moon is very round tonight, and I can see the road clearly in its light.
"Turn off the flashlight." Xiang Wanwan looked at Lu Jingnian.
Although Lu Jingnian didn't know why, he did as instructed.
He put his arm around Xiang Wanwan, and the two of them slowly walked into the pig farm by the moonlight.
It was past midnight, and the pig farm should have been completely silent, but as they approached, they heard the low grunting of pigs.
She glanced at Lu Jingnian and made a shushing gesture.
Lu Jingnian immediately understood and shielded her behind him.
The two crouched behind the pigpen, using the wall to conceal themselves. Xiang Wanwan slightly raised her head and saw a dark figure in the first pigpen ahead.
He was thin and slightly hunched over, holding a knife in his hand, the blade gleaming coldly in the moonlight.
Lu Jingnian turned to Xiang Wanwan and said, "Wait for me here."
Xiang Wanwan grabbed him, her face full of worry, "Why don't we call some more people?"
The other person had a knife, and the two of them had no tools. It was pitch black, and she was worried that Lu Jingnian would get hurt.
Lu Jingnian gently patted her hand and then removed it.
"rest assured."
After saying that, he crouched down and went towards the shadowy figure.
Xiang Wanwan looked up and stared at Lu Jingnian, feeling her heart leap into her throat.
She originally planned to come alone. If she found people, she would summon the Red Elf. Red Elves can tame beasts, so they should be able to tame people too.
But to her surprise, Lu Jingnian insisted on coming with her.
If Lu Jingnian can't win later, she won't care anymore and will just release the red elf.
Lu Jingnian was tall, but he managed to hide himself completely by using the cover, so that he could not be seen at all, and he did not make a sound.
She couldn't help but sigh, realizing that she had underestimated Lu Jingnian.
After all, he's been in the military for many years, so arresting someone shouldn't be a problem for him.
The shadowy figure was completely unaware of Lu Jingnian slowly approaching from behind. Just as he raised his hand, preparing to stab Peiqi with the knife, Lu Jingnian suddenly flipped over and leaped into the pigpen, then kicked the knife out of his hand and knocked the man to the ground.
"Ah! Who is it?"
The shadowy figure cried out in pain.
Xiang Wanwan originally thought there would be two more rounds of fighting, but she didn't expect Lu Jingnian to be so quick and ruthless, subduing her in one move.
She immediately got up, turned on her flashlight, and ran over quickly.
The knife was right there in the corner of the pigsty.
Good heavens, a sharp cleaver!
Her gaze fell on the man pinned to the ground, and she shone the flashlight in his face, the blinding light making it impossible for him to open his eyes.
"Yang Jun?" Lu Jingnian was astonished. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
