Just after breaking up, protagonist Pan Han was bound by a system, gaining storage space.

Chapter 26 The Zombie Attack

Pan Han looked at Monk Wei and thought of the character in the TV series, feeling emotional.

"Master Pan, shall I take them to unload the goods?" Cheng Xiao asked.

"Go ahead."

After getting consent, Cheng Xiao ordered Monk Wei to lead the team to the backyard.

Pan Han returned to the small room on the second floor alone.

First, he put 10 kilograms of gold into the space, then took out a can of iced cola and drank it while resting.

I could vaguely hear cheers from the backyard, probably because everyone saw the rice and flour in the truck.

Pan Han smiled with satisfaction. He now likes the end of the world more and more.

The current Dawn Base has achieved some success in terms of personnel, weapons, and supplies. Even if the Iron Group Gang attacks it head-on, they will not be able to gain any advantage.

As for the wall, Pan Han decided to buy some supplies after returning and move them over. Bricks and cement wouldn't cost much.

"Master Pan, is it okay for me to cook porridge for everyone tonight?" Qin Zhong's voice came from the intercom.

"Okay, you haven't had proper staple food for a while, so you can eat whatever you want these two days. And make sure the slaves are well fed too."

"receive."

Suddenly, Pan Han heard Lao Liu shouting in the channel: "Alert! There are zombies coming towards us."

“Shit!” Pan Han yelled and rushed out immediately.

As soon as I got downstairs, I found Qin Zhong, my second sister, Cheng Xiao and others rushing out with guns.

Everyone ran to the front door, climbed up to the observation deck and looked into the distance.

300 meters away, a large group of zombies were heading straight for the base.

"What's going on?" Pan Han asked Boss Qin.

"I don't know. I haven't seen a swarm of zombies in a long time."

“How many can there be?”

"At least several thousand."

"Oh my god, why are there so many?" Pan Han muttered.

"Third brother, fourth brother, fifth brother. The three of you drive out to take a look. If you can divert them, try your best." Qin Zhong ordered.

"Got it, boss."

"Sixth, Seventh, and Second Sister, go get the heavy machine guns, set up the positions, and get a few more boxes of ammunition. Also, pick up a few slaves who have fired guns."

"Got it, boss."

Qin Zhong made decisive arrangements and everyone acted separately.

"Boss Qin, I see that the zombies move so slowly. If we fly kites and kill them while walking, it shouldn't be difficult, right?" Pan Han asked.

"If it's just ordinary zombies, it won't be a big problem. I'm just worried there might be mutated zombies here. If there are a few level one zombies hiding, it will be difficult to deal with."

"Level 1 zombie?"

"We humans drink evolution potions, but zombies don't need them; they evolve naturally. Currently, there are three levels of known mutant zombies. Level one zombies are faster than regular zombies, have stronger attacks and perception, and possess rudimentary swarm control abilities, like the one we have right now. Levels two and three are even more difficult to deal with than level one."

“There’s such a thing!”

"Yes, Master Pan. Some level 2 zombies are over 5 meters tall and incredibly strong. Their skin has evolved into thick armor that even a 12.7mm heavy machine gun can't penetrate."

"Holy shit. Isn't this a moving armored vehicle?"

"Yes. I've never seen a level three one. They're said to have advanced intelligence, capable of controlling hundreds of millions of zombies and mutant beasts."

"Can you control a flying mutant beast?"

"That's right."

After hearing this, Pan Han couldn't help but look up at the sky, feeling a bit overwhelmed. If there was a threat from the sky, then the weapons would need to be upgraded on a large scale. Automated air defense stations would have to be deployed.

"If Lao San and the others can't lure the zombies away, then it means that there are mutations among these guys."

After listening to what Boss Qin said, Pan Han took the telescope from him and stared at the third brother and the others.

The third brother and his companions were driving an SUV, approaching the zombies. The fourth brother sat in the passenger seat, and the fifth brother sat in the back seat. They leaned out half their bodies and fired at the zombies.

As the zombies fell one after another, several hundred of them slowly moved towards them. The rest remained unmoved and continued to head straight for the base.

"Boss, something's wrong. There should be a leader among them. They only sent a portion of the zombies to interfere with our operations."

"Got it. Just fly the kite for a while and try to attract as many as possible."

"There is indeed a problem." Pan Han said.

"Old Five, please take a closer look at which ones look like level one zombies," Qin Zhong said.

"Got it, boss. I'm already looking at it."

"Second sister, you guys better hurry up."

"Boss, I'll be right up!"

Just as he finished speaking, his second sister and her group came up with eight slaves, including Monk Wei.

"Boss, all eight of them have killed zombies before, and they've all fired guns."

"Okay. Give them weapons first. Cheng Xiao, find a good sniper position and observe the level one zombies in the swarm. If you find any suspicious ones, kill them immediately."

It was discovered that there might be a first-level evolved zombie hidden in the corpse group, and the atmosphere in the entire base suddenly became tense.

The slaves all knew more or less about the evolving zombies, and knew that the current situation was critical, so they hurried to the second sister to get weapons.

"Boss Qin, get me a sniper rifle." Pan Han was not idle either.

"Cheng Xiao, I leave it to you. Protect Lord Pan." said Boss Qin.

"receive."

After hearing the order, Cheng Xiao tied her hair into a braid, looked at the group of zombies in the distance with a determined gaze, and instantly transformed into a female warrior.

Pan Han took a sniper rifle and followed Cheng Xiao to the sniper position.

They set up their guns and adjusted their scopes. Cheng Xiao helped Pan Han load the magazine.

"Master Pan, a level one zombie looks exactly like an ordinary zombie. You can only tell them apart by their movements. They'll occasionally wave their arms, turn their heads to observe, or stop and whisper. They're similar to sheepdogs."
