At night, Shengxia and her partners went to bed early and didn't fall into a deep sleep until the moon was high in the sky.

The tribe was very quiet, with only occasional chanting sounds.

In the latter half of the night, all was quiet.

Most of the orcs fell into a deep sleep, while a few of the night watchmen remained awake, alertly listening to the sounds around them.

The night wind grew increasingly biting and piercing.

On the city wall, the patrolling male looked around with great spirit, concealing himself. The beast was almost one with the moonlight, and its breathing seemed to be in sync with the north wind.

They stared intently at the scene, which appeared no different from before, without letting their guard down; their eyes remained wary.

The lead orc gave the order: "Continue patrolling, no slacking off."

"Okay!" everyone answered in unison, keeping a close eye on their surroundings.

On the surface, all was calm, but those experienced hunters knew that danger often lurked beneath the seemingly safe surface, and they could not be careless.

They were on high alert, not daring to relax in the slightest, and were always ready to deal with any possible emergencies.

The great river outside the tribe.

A "crackling" sound came from beneath the ice. Wolf King was sleeping with his eyes closed, smelling his partner's sweet scent, and a satisfied smile appeared on his lips.

Suddenly realizing something, he abruptly opened his eyes.

A sharp glint flashed in his eyes, then his expression softened again, and he gently turned his head to place a kiss on the forehead of the sleeping Sheng Xia.

In her sleep, Shengxia's brows furrowed almost imperceptibly. She wasn't fully asleep yet, and was having a dream in a half-awake state.

She rarely dreams, but when she does, they are bizarre and fantastical.

In his dream, the wolf king grew wings and flew over the great river outside the tribe. The sun was blazing, but he felt ice-cold all over...

Wolf King didn't notice Sheng Xia's slightly furrowed brows. He turned his head and met the equally clear eyes of Hu Xue, Tie Bai, and Qing Mu.

He gestured to them to keep an eye on Shengxia while he went out to check the situation. The males nodded silently.

He looked around again, still not entirely at ease, and after confirming that there was no danger around Shengxia, his eyes turned slightly cool, and he gently curled the corners of his lips.

Without hesitation, he turned around, leaped out of the window, and transformed into his beast form in mid-air, his deep eyes gleaming with cold light.

As they passed the city wall, the male on watch looked over warily, and upon recognizing their own beast, jumped down to look at the wolf king.

"What's wrong? It's very quiet outside."

He had been keeping a close watch and hadn't noticed anything unusual. Why was the Wolf King suddenly here? Could there be a problem?

The Wolf King's strength is so great that it's hard to fathom...

Or perhaps there was something unusual that he didn't notice?

Thinking of this, his gaze became serious.

After advancing in rank, the Wolf King became even more perceptive. The silence from his beast mouth sounded incredibly noisy to him.

A constant rustling sound could be heard, like countless insects gnawing at the ice.

That sound sent a chill down the beast's spine for no apparent reason.

"There's something in the river. You continue patrolling, I'll go check it out." With that, Wolf King lightly leaped over the city wall, his figure quickly becoming a black dot.

The orc quickly turned around, relayed the message, and without hesitation transformed into his beast form, galloping wildly towards the direction of the Wolf King.

He is a fourth-tier water-type ability user, not as strong as Wolf King, but he has a certain advantage by the river.

Wolf King is too dangerous as an orc; he's worried about him.

"Xia, are you feeling unwell?" Tie Bai's light pink eyes narrowed slightly as he raised his hand to touch her forehead, his voice clear and crisp.

"Sister Xiaxia, why are you awake?" Hu Xue blinked and touched her cheek with a worried expression.

As she thought of the dream she had just had, her long eyelashes trembled slightly.

In the dream, the Wolf King burned many large silver fish to death with a fire, and the aroma of roasted fish filled the air. Suddenly, the scene changed, and the roasted fish all "came to life" at the same time...

With their large, white, fish-like eyes all staring at Sheng Xia, her blood ran cold...

Suddenly, I felt an itch on the tip of my nose and sneezed, waking me up.

Thank you for that sneeze!

She patted her chest, still shaken, and looked around but couldn't see Wolf King. Her scalp tingled instantly.
