"Stop!" Lin Zhilu had already found the entrance to the basement, but before she could go down, she was stopped by someone.

Lin Zhilu looked in the direction of the sound and saw a person coming down from upstairs with gray hair. The golden light of merit that had once surrounded him had dimmed, and black energy swirled around him.

Lin Zhiluo turned to look at Xiao Mingzhi and Xiao Hu: "Is this your father?"

“Yes,” Xiao Mingzhi stood beside Lin Zhiluo. “Father, Master Lin will definitely leave today.”

Xiao Ke shook his head: "With me here, I won't let you go down. It'll be done in two days. Your brother was never as good as you, and now there's no turning back. Xiao Huai is a pitiful child too..."

"Shut up!" Lin Zhiluo slapped a talisman directly onto Xiao Ke.

Xiao Ke was immediately unable to move.

Lin Zhiluo looked at Qi Zhiyang, who immediately helped Xiao Ke into the basement.

"You old man, you were originally full of merit, but you've become confused in your old age. Don't you see that all the cause and effect are on you?"

“If you hadn’t made a mistake back then, your family wouldn’t be in this mess today.”

"Xiao Yuanwei is the most outstanding member of your family this generation, and he has a bright future ahead of him."

"The Xiao Huai you mentioned, although he has a pitiful background, is no match for Xiao Yuanwei at all, not to mention... Xiao Huai has no future."

"What do you mean? Our Xiao Huai will be even more powerful than Xiao Yuanwei in the future. Don't talk nonsense, you charlatan." Jiang Shaomin was unwilling.

"Isn't this the answer?" The tightly closed door was kicked open by Lin Zhiluo.

The originally dim basement was now brightly lit by candlelight, and an unknown array was drawn on the floor, within which a transparent soul was locked.

"Yuanwei!" Xiao Hu's third eye had been opened, and he saw Xiao Yuanwei's soul at a glance.

"What!" Yao Wanning looked at the empty space in front of her. She wanted to rush in, but Lin Zhilu stopped her.

"The formation inside is for refining souls. If you rush in, it will affect your soul. None of you should go in." Lin Zhiluo grabbed Yao Wanning.

Leng Xuehai and Hua Zhengye opened everyone's eyes, letting them see everything that was happening before their eyes.

Xiao Mingzhi and Yao Wanning couldn't help but shed tears as they looked at their son inside the formation.

"Luckily, we made it in time. Just like that old man said, if it had been two days later, your son would not have been saved."

She looked at Xiao Hu and said, "Give me Xiao Yuanwei."

Lin Zhiluo took Xiao Yuanwei from him. Xiao Hu was initially worried that Xiao Yuanwei was so heavy, and that she, a young woman, wouldn't be able to carry him.

"Let go." Lin Zhiluo grabbed Xiao Yuanwei with one hand, but found that Xiao Hu did not let go. "It's not good for you living people to come in here. You two stay outside and keep an eye on that couple, so they don't cause any trouble later."

Lin Zhiluo entered the basement. She glanced at Qi Zhiyang, whose hand touched the basement door. Jiang Shaomin tried to go in, but was blocked by an invisible air wall.

"What have you done? Let me in! This is my home! Be careful, or I'll report you for trespassing!" Jiang Shaomin frantically pounded on the barrier as her scheme failed.

Leng Xuehai looked at Qi Zhiyang in amazement; this barrier was more powerful than anything he had ever seen before.

People outside can't get in, and their voices can't get in, but the voices inside can be heard clearly.

"Xiao Yuanwei?"

Lin Zhiluo needs to assess Xiao Yuanwei's condition. If she wants to return Xiao Yuanwei's soul to his body, she needs to wake him up first.

"Xiao Yuanwei! Wake up!"

Xiao Yuanwei, whose soul had been refined, slowly opened his eyes when he heard someone calling him.

"Run! It's not safe here."

Lin Zhilu breathed a sigh of relief: "Thank goodness, there's still logic, we can still be saved."

Lin Zhiluo took out a talisman from her pocket and placed it on the iron chains binding Xiao Yuanwei.

"The little girl inside is doomed." Xiao Ke looked at the scene inside with excitement.

"Is that so?" Qi Zhiyang stared at Lin Zhiluo, whose expression seemed relaxed.

Lin Zhiluo sensed something moving behind her. She turned around and saw a two-meter-tall snake head sticking out its tongue at her.

"What's inside?" Even the well-traveled Leng Xuehai had never seen such a huge snake.

"I need to go in. Mr. Qi, please open the barrier." Leng Xuehai was worried that Lin Zhiluo wouldn't be able to handle the situation alone, so he looked at Qi Zhiyang.

“No.” Qi Zhiyang shook his head. “Lin Zhiluo said she can handle it by herself, and so can she.”

He just understood Lin Zhiluo's meaning: no one can be allowed in.

"So this is what it is." Lin Zhiluo took a second look and immediately recognized what it was.

She looked at the soul-refining array on the ground and found the key. She stepped on it, and the soul-refining array suddenly dissipated, and the soul-refining array that was originally glowing with blood-red light suddenly disappeared.

Lin Zhilu grabbed Xiao Yuanwei and slapped a soul-stabilizing talisman on his head.

"I'll put your soul back into your body first. You need to stay awake for a while. There's something you need to solve yourselves."

When Xiao Yuanwei regained consciousness, Lin Zhiluo opened the thermos in her hand, and Xiao Huai's soul was released from it.

Looking at Xiao Yuanwei in front of him, Xiao Huai knew that their family's secret had been exposed.
