Chapter 145, An Unexpected Joy

Knowing they were coming, Li Donghao made time to video chat with her last night. Zhang Youyou then told him about her and Li Dongshuo's experiences. Li Donghao didn't want to get involved in Li Dongshuo's private affairs, but since Zhang Youyou was there, he had to nag. Unfortunately, Zhang Youyou kept changing the subject, and by the time he finished giving his instructions, it was already midnight.

"Zhang Youyou, wake up, wake up!"

"Zhang Youyou, get up!" Ji Yuxuan turned up her voice. "If you don't get up now, you won't be able to go shopping!"

"I'm not going!" Zhang Youyou mumbled. Ji Yuxuan smiled, realizing she was really sleepy, so she didn't bother her and turned to leave the room.

Li Dongshuo had just finished eating a cake when he saw her come out and immediately went to greet her. Ji Yuxuan smiled and shook her head, while Li Dongshuo sighed.

"I knew it!"

"Let her sleep, shall we go out for a walk?" Ji Yuxuan invited, and Li Dongshuo immediately agreed. But as he was about to leave, he remembered that Ji Huai'an was downstairs. They couldn't all go together, could they?

"It's alright, let him do as he pleases!"

Since that's the case, he wouldn't stand on ceremony. He took the phone and room key and led Ji Yuxuan downstairs.

When they got downstairs, Ji Huai'an was still sitting there, his coffee untouched. When he saw them come down, he asked about Zhang Youyou. Ji Yuxuan said that she was still asleep and told her to go out for a walk with Li Dongshuo. Ji Huai'an thought about it and said that was fine. He also told Ji Yuxuan to be a good host. As for himself, he stayed at the hotel to wait for Zhang Youyou.

"Why are you waiting for her? She has a boyfriend!" Although the two of them bickered, they had grown up together and their basic kinship was still there. Besides, she was his future sister-in-law, so how could he not be anxious?

Seeing his flustered appearance, Ji Huai'an smiled meaningfully, "What do you think I want to do? Besides, why are you so agitated about her having a boyfriend? Is she boyfriend you?"

"Don't talk nonsense!" Ji Yuxuan was still here, and he didn't want to be misunderstood.

Fearing the two would continue arguing, Ji Yuxuan quickly pulled Li Dongshuo away. Once in the car, they each sent WeChat messages to Zhang Youyou and Ji Huai'an. Li Dongshuo told Zhang Youyou that Ji Huai'an was downstairs and warned her to be careful; Ji Yuxuan told Ji Huai'an not to do anything reckless and to go home early. After hanging up, they smiled at each other and drove away.

Zhang Youyou continued to sleep after they left. When she woke up, it was already noon. She glanced at her phone but didn't react at all. After dozing off for a while, she suddenly realized something and sat up immediately. She opened WeChat and saw a message from Li Dongshuo.

“Ji Huai’an is downstairs, be careful. Ji Yuxuan and I went to play.” The caption included a smug emoji of someone wearing sunglasses. Zhang Youyou’s heart, which had been pounding, calmed down perfectly after reading it; this was an unexpected delight.

She was originally thinking about how to create opportunities for the two of them, but now, it's perfectly solved!

With Li Dongshuo and Ji Yuxuan's issues resolved, Ji Huai'an was no longer a problem. Zhang Youyou calmly continued to lie in bed playing on her phone until she got hungry. Only then did she get up to wash, change her clothes, and prepare to go out. However, before leaving, she had to check out the good restaurants nearby, since she couldn't skimp on herself when she was out having fun.
