At the start of sophomore year, the rarely-seen noble young master, a male god, and the cool guy who beat up an instructor upon entering school were assigned to the same dormitory—
The cool...
Chapter 17 Possessiveness
Li Zimai went to meet his "rival in love" and started to mess around after lunch.
Cheng Che asked him, "Are you going on a blind date?"
Li Zimai snorted and said disdainfully, "Do I have to bother myself for a blind date?"
Cheng Che didn't understand why Li Zimai was always so flashy. He had colorful clothes, shoes of various styles, and even a whole cabinet full of watches and hats. He insisted on arranging all the items neatly by color, size, and symmetry, and they must not be put in the wrong place.
Although he didn't understand, Cheng Che respected the artist's personality flaws and even had to neatly stack the ribs he had finished eating at the dinner table on the plate.
Before leaving, Li Zimai looked at Cheng Che's clothes that were stained from drawing and deliberately asked, "Aren't you going to change clothes when you go to see your brother Rui?"
Cheng Che rolled his eyes and said, "It's just a meal."
Li Zimai nodded with great satisfaction. Then he thought about it and realized that Cheng Che didn't object to the term "your Rui Ge". His face immediately fell and he asked, "Does your Rui Ge have a girlfriend?"
Cheng Che sat in the entrance hall changing his shoes, not wanting to answer his stupid and gossipy questions at all.
"I'm asking you, does your brother Rui have a partner?"
Keeping calling him "your Rui Ge", Cheng Che finally retorted: "He's not my Rui Ge, could you please stop being so sarcastic?"
"Hey, Brother Che is amazing. He actually heard my sarcastic tone."
Cheng Che: “…”
When they reached the underground garage, Li Zimai was still asking, "You've been chatting with your brother Rui for so long, and you don't even know if he's dating someone?"
Cheng Che wanted to stop him from chattering and said coldly, "Don't go. I don't want to take you with me."
Li Zimai stopped and looked at Cheng Che with a wronged look on his face, "I just asked if your brother Rui had a date, and you gave me such a stern look. Is it a taboo topic that you can't talk about or ask about whether he has a date or not?"
There were few people in the underground garage, but there were cars coming and going, and people were always looking at them through the car windows. Cheng Che didn't want to ride in his car in the first place, and now he was even more annoyed, so he turned around and left.
Li Zimai stopped where he was, his voice growing weaker. "I'm just curious, and you're mad at me. Not only do you not tell me about your own affairs, but you even didn't tell me when I asked about your friend. Am I really that annoying?"
Cheng Che really wanted to punch him in the head, but he was afraid of breaking his weird mind. He clenched his fist and turned it back, gritting his teeth and saying, "I don't know! Do you think I'm you? You're so bored that you ask people if they have a partner."
Li Zimai was neither satisfied nor completely satisfied with this answer, but he knew when to quit. He opened the passenger door for Cheng Che as if nothing had happened and said, "Okay, Brother Che, I understand. Please get in."
This was not the first time Cheng Che rode in his car. The first time was when Li Zimai drove to the store where he worked to pick him up. After that, the employees in the store kept asking Cheng Che when he would end his experience life. Although Cheng Che explained many times that Li Zimai was not his brother, no one believed him. It was also that time that Cheng Che realized that Li Zimai was two years older than him.
Cheng Che started school early, skipped a grade in elementary school, and became an adult only in his sophomore year. Li Zimai always uses his age as an excuse but everything he does is more childish than the last.
For example, on the way to dinner, Li Zimai passed by an ice cream shop and insisted on stopping to buy yogurt ice cream. He also insisted that Cheng Che wait for him at the door. He handed the ice cream to Cheng Che with both hands solemnly as if passing a baton, and watched him eat it.
Although yogurt ice cream is Cheng Che's favorite, he doesn't want to freeze his teeth in such a cold day. However, this ice cream is too expensive. Cheng Che has bought it only a few times, and he doesn't want to waste it.
Li Zimai finally realized that it was winter, and hurried to get Cheng Che's ice cream, saying apologetically, "I wanted to bring you here before, but this store closes in the fall. It finally opened today, and I was so anxious that I forgot how cold it was.
Cheng Che raised the ice cream to prevent him from snatching it back, and asked in confusion, "Why do you have to eat from this store? This store looks asymmetrical."
Li Zimai didn't answer his question directly. He tried to snatch the ice cream away and said, "I'll treat you when the weather warms up. Give this back to me."
"If you don't return it, I'll give you the money. This is mine."
He turned his back and took a big bite. It was sour and cool, exactly Cheng Che's favorite taste.
Li Zimai saw that his face was distorted by the sourness and was at a loss whether to laugh or cry. However, he was worried that he would get a stomachache from eating too much cold food, so he grabbed his wrist from behind and took the ice cream out of his hand with a force of his palm.
Cheng Che hurriedly turned around to grab it back, but his head hit the other person's cheekbone. The dull sound almost made Li Zimai cry.
Cheng Che didn't dare to move and asked in a low voice: "...Are you okay?"
Li Zimai's nose was tingling. He looked down at the back of his head, which was pitch black, and said sarcastically, "Is your head made of iron?"
"I said I'll pay you back, don't steal mine."
When Li Zimai recovered, he found that one of his hands was on Cheng Che's shoulder and the other hand was pinching the waistline of his clothes. From a distance of a fist, Li Zimai could even see the other's slender white neck and the slightly red, small and soft earlobe. The concave ear cavity below was so soft that it seemed to invite people to taste it. It was too deadly.
Li Zimai hurriedly let go of him, took a half step back, and said with an unnatural expression: "...Stop eating and get in the car!"
Maybe the ice cream was too sour. After a few bites, Cheng Che's teeth couldn't bear it anymore and he had to lick it bit by bit with his tongue. The red spot on the white ice cream moved slowly, it was wet and very soft. Li Zimai almost didn't notice the nosebleed, his scalp was numb, he quickly grabbed it and slurped up the ice cream.
I would rather freeze to death than go into heat in broad daylight.
Cheng Che's face was cold, "It's mine."
Li Zimai said, "I was the one who queued up, I paid for it, it's mine, so I should eat it."
He found that Cheng Che had a very strong possessiveness. He was very clear about what was yours and what was mine, and no one else was allowed to touch anything that belonged to him.
When Li Zimai first moved into the dormitory, he accidentally took his mouthwash cup by mistake. Although he quickly put it back, Cheng Che rushed over and washed the cup back and forth seven or eight times, especially the handle. Li Zimai even suspected that he had some infectious disease at the time.
Another time, Li Zimai saw him stuffing all sorts of things into his schoolbag, and the pen he forgot to put the cap on directly scratched the bag. Li Zimai kindly helped him put it in order, but Cheng Che fiercely snatched back his schoolbag, scribbled on it in front of him, and said, "I can do whatever I want with my things", which made Li Zimai laugh and cry.
It's been better recently, at least he lets Li Zimai touch his brush tools and computer, and touches his head from time to time, but once Cheng Che emphasizes the words "my things", it's a sign of getting angry.
Li Zimai quickly begged for mercy and returned the remaining ice cream skin along with the wrapper to him, "Here, here, it's yours."
Cheng Che snatched the ice cream, but didn't eat it. He threw it into the trash can without any courtesy and said coldly, "It's not clean anymore."
Li Zimai: “…”
