With screams and blood splattering, the rat woman fell to the ground. Several rat babies pounced on her and bit her hard.

The woman soon lost her voice. A thin gray mist gradually seeped into her body, and her skin turned gray. Black blood vessels like earthworms bulged on her surface.

Her palm moved, and suddenly raised up, grabbed the rat baby that was still biting her body, and threw it away.

The rat baby hit the wall, slid to the ground, shook its head, and climbed up as if nothing had happened. It looked at its former mother and did not pounce on her to attack again.

The other rat babies stopped what they were doing and climbed down from their "mother" consciously.

"What's going on?" The commander on the city wall heard the messy sound and turned his head curiously and asked the guard beside him.

The guard looked towards the city and shook his head in confusion.

He had always been with the commander and was also unaware of what was happening in the city.

"Where are the city guards? Aren't they supposed to manage those guys in the city? Why are they making such a loud noise?" The commander shouted dissatisfiedly. Those guys in the city guards were always yelling and yelling at people in normal times, but when war came, they couldn't even manage the city. What was the use of them?

Two soldiers covered in blood came running over. The one in front was a subordinate of the rat commander, and the one following behind was a city guard.

"Commander, there is urgent information." The rat soldier leading the way shouted loudly.

The commander nodded, and the city guards' ratmen hurried forward.

He dragged the city guard soldier and pressed him to the top of the city wall, allowing him to see clearly the demons and lesser demons who were still tirelessly attacking the city below.

The city guards are composed of idle people. They can bully the people in the city at ordinary times, but when they see the large army of demons and small demons below, they are scared to death and scream.

The commander pulled the city guards up and said viciously, "See? Not a single infected person broke through the city wall. Tell me, how did the infected appear in the city?"

"It's true, it's true..." The city guard soldier was so frightened that he howled, his face covered in snot and tears. He looked both ridiculous and disgusting, but even so, he continued to shout, "There are infected people in the city, everywhere."

The commander was furious. He kicked the city guard away and said to his personal guard, "Go, take some people and see what's going on in the city. Come back and tell me."
